A Week Later

(Gabriel)

It’s been a week since the incident with Yashira. I went by the diner to apologize but the diner was closed. I know a lot of my pack members go to the diner. When I asked them if they knew why it was closed no one knew. I decided to ask Sara where she took Yashira that day and she said to the hospital. Lita had a massive heart attack and that’s where she had been.

Ashley was caught and brought to me. She apologized for what happened. Her wolf had taken over. She tried to fight back to get control, but her wolf wouldn’t let her. Her wolf was still in control when they brought her to me. I had to use my Alpha voice to have Amy, Ashley’s wolf gives her control again. Ashley apologized to my son for what happened and even wrote Yashira a note that from what Sara said, Yashira didn’t read it and just threw it in the trash, and did I forget to mention my wolf has been driving me crazy wanting to see his mate? Yep.

‘I want to see mate. Let’s go see mate’ he tells me again, but I push him back to the back of my mind. I go back to work when a knock echoes in the room.

“Come in” I say. The door opens and Ashley walks in.

“Baby, I’m going to the mall with my friends. I’ll see you later” Ashely k****s my lips making Shadow growl. Ever since he met Yashira and found out she was our second chance mate he doesn’t like Ashely touching us or kissing us. Maybe if I reject the human he’ll come down.

‘If you reject mate, I promise you you’ll be wolf less’ he threatened. I was speechless. He has never threatened me like that.

‘You blame all humans for what happened to Lacey, but not all humans are to blame just the hunters who killed her which you happened to kill them all that were there that day’ Shadow snarls and moves to the back of my mind I sigh closing my laptop. I knew I wasn’t going to get any work with my wolf acting like this. Even my son was depressed because he hadn’t seen Yashira. Deciding to go to the hospital, I stood up and looked for my son. Once I had him, I made my way out the door. I got into my car with my son and went to the hospital.

When I arrived at the hospital I asked for Lita’s room and made my way up to her room. She still hadn’t woken up yet after the massive heart attack. From what Sara told me if Jeffrey hadn’t been there, she could’ve died. I turn the corner and see my mate sitting on one of the chairs outside Lita’s room. She had dark circles under her eyes and there was a tray of food next to her untouched.

“Yaya” Tristan said wiggling out of my hold for me to put him down. Yashira looked at us and she smiled for Tristan even though it didn’t reach her eyes. I let Tristan go and he ran to her. She opened her arms for him, and he ran right to her. I couldn’t believe how attached Tristan had gotten to her and vice versa. She put her life on the line for him not once but twice.

“You sad” Tristan said running the tip of his fingers from her forehead down her face. This is something that they did last time.

‘I’m okay. Just a little tired’ she signed mouthing the words slowly for him and then did the same thing Tristan did to him.

“Where is nana?” Tristan asks. He calls Lita nana.

‘Sleeping’ Yashira gestures and then points to the room. The door opens and Jeffrey comes out. His eyes widen when he sees me.

“A-Gabriel” he says slightly bowing his head.

“Tristan wanted to see Lita and Yashira” I said.

“Come on buddy, but you have to be quiet. Nana is sleeping” he says taking Tristan’s hands and closing the door.

“How are you feeling really?” I asked Yashira. She looks at me and my breath hitched seeing her eyes full of tears. She blinks and the tears fall. She goes to wipe them, but I stop her and do it for her. Shadow whimpers in my head.

‘She hasn’t woken up yet. I can’t lose her too’ she signs as her body shakes with a silent sob. I pull her in for a hug. What does she mean by lose her too? I wanted to ask her, but I decided not to.

“Shh, it’s okay. You’re not alone. Let it out” I tell her. Her body shakes more as she sobs silently. We stayed like this for a few minutes until she stops crying. When she pulls back and without thinking about what I was doing… I k**s her. She stiffens and I quickly pull back when I realize what I did.

“I’m sorry. I don’t know why I did that-” I was cut off when she slammed her lips on mine and I quickly respond. I can feel her tongue piercing as our tongues play with each other. Her hand goes to my curls, and I growl when she tugs a little. I pulled back before things got too heated. I should have never kissed her, and I shouldn’t have responded when she kissed me.

“Excuse me, Ms. Vazquez?” Yashira looks at the woman behind me and nods.

“I’m sorry to do this, but we can continue to treat your grandmother” the nurse says.

‘What? Why?’ Yashira signs. I can hear her heart pounding in her chest.

“I’m sorry. I don’t understand” the nurse says. I see Yashira looking flustered as she fisted her hands.

“She wants to know why?” I spoke.

“Her grandmother’s insurance only covers so much. We’ve done all we can-”

“I don’t believe this. This is a hospital and there is a woman in there that needs treatment, and you are willing to throw her out because of her insurance?” I asked in total disbelieve.

“Sir, please calm down-”

“Don’t tell me to calm down. I will have her removed from your hospital to a better place that will give her a better treatment and you will be hearing from my lawyer soon” I snapped at the nurse. I took out my phone and called Maggie to have an ambulance come and get Lita and for her to treat her. Within the hour Maggie was here with an ambulance and we took Lita to our pack clinic.

‘Thank you, Alpha. I don’t know how I will ever repay you for helping my mate’ Jeffrey links me.

‘No need to thank me. She’s your mate which means she’s part of the pack’ I link him. I see Yashira looking even more exhausted than before. As if sensing me looking at her she looks at me.

“When was the last time you ate and had some rest?” I asked her.

‘I’m not hungry’ she signed avoiding the question about the last time she rested.

“Come on. Your grandma is in great hands. I promise. You need to eat and rest” I said leaving no room to argue. She looks back at her grandma.

“Go Yashira. I’ll call you as soon as there’s any change” Jeffrey assures her. She gives him a nod and follows me to the pack house. I decided to place her in the empty room down the hall from mine.

“That’s the bathroom right there. I’ll get you some clothes so you can shower, and I’ll have someone make you something to eat” I said then left to get her some clothes.

“Alpha how is Yashira” Sara asks as I’m about to go in my room.

“She doesn’t look so well. She’s exhausted and I bet she hasn’t eaten in a while. By the way do you happen to have any clothes she can wear?” I asked her.

“Sure. Her boobs are bigger than mine, but I have a few things she can have” Sara goes to her room on the third floor and comes back with some clothes and underwear.

“The underwear is brand new. I gave her sport bras since she bigger than me” she says.

“Thank you” I tell her. She bows her head and leaves. I put the clothes in my room and head down to make her some sandwiches. I also grab some fruit and a Gatorade. I then head upstairs and knock before going in. I place the try on the table. I knock on the door that’s ajar.

“Yashira the food is here” I tell her. I hear a sniffle which made me sniff the air and I could smell the saltiness from her tears. She’s crying. I open the door and look in the shower to see her on the floor with her knees to her chest. She looks up at me and for the second time I see fear in them.

“Yashira, your grandma is going to be okay. She’s in the best hands. Maggie will do everything she can for your grandmother. I promise” she nods at my words as if trying to convince herself.

“Come on let’s get you cleaned up” I help her up and gulp when I see her perfect naked body. She has perfect curves in all the right places. Wait, what’s that? Oh, my goddess, her n*s are pierced. I gulp again silently. My wolf wants to take over to mark and mate her, but I push him back. I take a deep breath and wash her body and then her hair. When I’m done, I dry her. I go to my room and get her the clothes Sara gave me. She drops the towel and gets dressed. When she looks at me, she blushes realizing what she had done.

‘Sorry’ she mouths.

“Don’t worry about it. Come and eat” I tell her. She sits down but doesn’t touch the food.

‘I’m not hungry’ she signs.

“You need to eat at least a sandwich. Your grandma is not going to be happy when she replaces out you haven’t been eating” I tell her. She sighs and grabs a sandwich. I open the Gatorade for her as she takes a bite out of the sandwich. She ends up eating a sandwich and a half and half of the fruit.

‘Thank you. It was good’ she signs.

“I’m glad you liked it. Now come and lay down. You look like you haven’t slept in days” she doesn’t sign anything as she climbs in bed. As soon as her head touches the pillow, she is out cold. I cover her with the duvet and walk out of the room closing the door behind me. I check on my son to see he is asleep in his room. I k**s his forehead and cover him as well. I leave his door ajar and head down to my office to do some work since my wolf has calm down now that she’s here. I open my laptop and email my lawyer. I tell him about what happened in the hospital with Lita and how I had to bring her here because they refused to treat her any further. He assured me that he was going to take care of it, and I continue working. A little while later there’s a knock on my office door and by the scent, I know it’s Ashley.

“Come in Ashley” I call. She opens the door and enters the office.

“Hi baby” she purrs seductively running her hands over my shoulders. I shrug her hands off not wanting her to touch me.

“I’m not in the mood Ashley. I’m very busy” I tell her.

“You haven’t been in a mood for a week. Is it because of that freak?” she growls. I look at her in warning.

“I told you about the name calling Ashley. There has to be a reason why she doesn’t talk, and it could happen to anyone even you” I tell her.

“It seems like you are becoming fond of the human. Don’t forget that humans killed Lacey. All humans are the same and she will hurt one of us-”

That’s enough Ashley. I need to finish my work so please get out” I tell her. She growls and leave the office slamming the door shut. I g***n rubbing my temples before getting back to work. After some time, I look at the time on the laptop and see that it one in the morning. I close everything down and head upstairs. As I pass by Tristan’s room, I see that he’s not in his room. panic fills me and my wolf pushes forward as we sniff the air. His scent is still strong here in the hallway. I follow his scent to my mate’s room; her door is open as well. I look in to see Tristan lying next to my mate and her arm is around him protectively. They looked so cute that I took out my phone and took a picture of them. I then closed the door and went to my room. I grabbed a boxer and went to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and undressed myself.

My stupid wolf began to show me images of my mate naked while I was washing her body. I g***n as I felt my c0ck get hard. I tried to ignore it, but it wasn’t working. The more images he showed me the harder my c0ck got. I growled when I grabbed my c**k as I braced myself on the wall and stroked slowly at first. The more images my wolf showed me the faster I stroked. He then showed me images of me taking her from behind with her nice, plumped a*s in the air as I smacked it and pounded into her. I felt my balls tighten and before I knew it, I came on the wall. I took deep breaths before washing the wall and getting out of the shower. I dried myself and put on my boxer and went out to my room and went to bed.
