Third Person POV

No sooner does Eros storm out of the room does the room become silent. Not knowing what to

say or do, Athena continues to cry, her painful past now out in the open for everyone to know including her mates. "I'm sorry" whispers Athena sadly. "You must hate me now. I'll understand if you want to reject me too."

"WHAT? NO! We love you Athena. No matter what" exclaims Ares, shocked that his mate would even suggest something like that after everything they've done to secure their bond. But Eros-" tries Athena, only to be cut off by Ares again.

"Eros needs space. He doesn't want you to see him like that. He's afraid you'll think that he no longer wants you. Which is the complete opposite" admits Ares, his eyes now focused on his mate. "But doesn't he? After all, another male touched me?" chimes Athena, her fear still present.

Sighing, Athena moves to ignore her wolf, now over their conversation. Her own thoughts drifting back over to what Ares had said about pups. He's right though, now that I'm marked and mated, it's only a matter of time before my heat starts. Once it does there won't be any stopping until it breaks and I'm pregnant with child, muses Athena,

"Athena?" calls Alarick, careful not to startle her when he noticed her vacant expression, a clear sign that she was chatting with her wolf.

"Huh? Yes, Alpha?" asks Athena, her focus now on him.

"My

y child, aside from what you've told me.. How much more do you know about your family history?" questions Alarick, curious to see if she knew anything else. History?" Blinks Athena, confused.

"Yes, like your family tree" explains Alarick.

"Not much I'm afraid. I only know that I have two uncles somewhere, but I've not seen them since I was 5 years old. As for my mother, it would be her half sister, My Aunt Leah" admits Athena, her mind now wondering about her family's past.

Watching Athena closely, Alarick decides to help ease her worries. "Athena, my child. The uncles. you speak of are from your father's side of the family. He was a triplet. One of Three."

"Triplets?" asks Ares, now curious about how his father knew about that.

"Yes, you see, I was once close with Ryder and his brothers, very much. But when we all started to get older and we began to take on our duties as the next Alpha we began to see less and less of one another. His two brothers also leaving to handle their own fates" answers Alarick wishing he had stayed in touch with Ryder or at least his brothers. "Then- Then what happened to them?" asks Athena, shocked her father was a triplet and never knew.

"That I don't know dear. After we parted ways, I lost contact with him and his two other siblings. But if you want, I could try and reach out to the Lycan King. Maybe he would know" offers Alarick, hoping it would help her. "I'd like that. I want to know what happened to them" answers Athena, now determined to know, the need to know about her uncles growing. That last tie to her father.

Nodding, he moves to stand up. "Then I promise to send an email over to him as soon as I can, but for now I do believe my mate and my son have a surprise for you" smiles Alarick as he looks at "Surprise?" asks Athena, turning her focus to Ares

"Yes, mother has something special planned for us. Come, we should go. Father will contact us once he hears something from the King" admits Ares as he moves to look at his mate. "Oh? Like what?" questions Athena now curious. Chapter 42

"It's a surprise... Just know that you'll love it, now come let us go and meet up with her smiles. Ares, moving to stand as he gently takes her hand with his, the others moving to stand up as well. "Okay" is all she says as she moves to let him lead, escorting her out of the office and over in the direction of his mother.

"Have fun you too. Hopefully Eros will join you as well" chuckles Alarick, a knowing smile playing at his lips as he knew what his mate had planned.

-Eros's POV-

After storming out from my father's office, I wasn't completely sure as to where I was going to go. All I knew was that I was definitely angry. Angry with that whole pack. The urge to throttle them ragging. 'Don't go causing trouble' scolds Deimos as if he knew what I was thinking.

"Who says I'm going to? All I need to do is beat up that Beta and his two friends' I reply.

"That's causing trouble,' growls Deimos.

"Says who?" I ask.

'ME! Now, get that stick out of your a** and go to mate' orders Deimos with a growl.

'At the mention of Athena, I sigh. "I really made a mess of things didn't I" I grumble, knowing my mate needed me and instead, I let my anger get the best of me.

"Uh, you think?' grunts Deimos.

"Shut up, you didn't exactly help much either' I scolded, knowing I was right. I mean after all he was my wolf. 'Not the point, the point is our mate needs us. She needs to know we still want her' admits Deimos trying to get his point across.

Taking his silence as I'm right and he's not, I move to smirk. Knowing I was right as I moved to head back inside having stormed off outside at the time hoping it would help cool my head. "Hey Ares, where are you? Still with father?' I question him. 'No, we just left. We're heading for mother. She has something special for Athena. Hopefully after everything with Rogue King and hidden secrets, she'll be more relaxed' answers Ares.

"Alright, I'll meet you guys there' I tell him, knowing exactly where mother was, as it was where I was earlier that day before breakfast and the whole Lily thing. Growling, I try to settle my emotions. No sense in scaring our mate. Think calm thoughts, I muse hoping it would work as we
