Chapter 43

Athena's POV

When Ares mentioned a surprise I couldn't contain my curiosity. My mind wondering to what it could possibly be. My curiosity is all over the place,

"Do you know Artemis? Did Zeus or Deimos say anything to you?' I ask, wondering if maybe Zeus or Deimos had mentioned anything to her.

I not answers Artemis. Short and to the point.

'Nope, afra afraid Sighing, I continue to watch as Ares leads me through a series of twists and turns as we walk along one of the vast hallways within the pack house. That is until we eventually reach a set of double doors. The doors are massive, each etched in solid brass trim and intricate designs. Ares moving to open the door before I could truly inspect the doors. Eros already inside the room along with Luna Gwen.

'I understand,' I say back, pulling away just enough to look him in the eyes. Love shining deep with his love as he continues to embrace me.

Smiling, I move to approach Eros who instantly moves to kiss me softly. 'Sorry I left you love... H just needed to cool off' admits Eros through our link.

"Athena, welcome, I'm glad to see my sons managed to get you here without revealing anything I hope" chimes Gwen, her eyes watching me from Eros's arms.

"No, unfortunately I have absolutely no clue as to what's going on" I admit, my eyes now looking at the Luna and my future mother-in-law.

Smiling, she moves to usher us over to a big sofa that was inside of the room, a large table now catching my attention along with many plates of food. All ranging from appetizers to main courses to desserts and salads.

Blinking, Gwen moves to follow my gaze only to smile. "Yes, you see, I've asked my sons to bring you here in hopes that we could go over the planning details for your Luna Ceremony as well as the Alpha Ceremony for my sons" admits Gwen, smiling. "Oh" I say, surprised by the gesture before smiling "I'd love that, thank you Luna".

"Please, Gwen or mother will do just fine, Athena. After all we're family" chuckles Gwen to Athena,

her smile never fading from site.

"Okay, mom" I say, the word a bit foreign to me as I've not had a mom for the last 10 years of my life and the one who was supposed to be a mother to me turned out to be a total bitch. With one f

final smile, we move to sit around a large round coffee table, a binder currently sitting upon it as we did. "Now then, why don't we look and discuss how you want things to look. We can go over things like the gown, invitations, colors, decorations, food. That way everything is all done and all you have to do is focus on the big day" admits Gwen. Nodding, we move to w

move to work on the guest list along with color and decorations. "Now then, what about flowers?" asks Gwen after jotting down information.

"Um, well, either lilies or roses are always nice" I admit, not really a flower person but wanting at least some flowers for our ceremony.. Hours Later-

"Okay, we can work with that" smiles Gwen, jotting down more notes about the flowers. Once that is done we move onto the food. Directing our focus over to the table and plates filled with different types of food.

After going over all the different food choices available as well as desserts we eventually settled on 3 different appetizers, 1 salad, 3 main courses which consisted of a chicken, beef and seafood and of course 2 types of desserts.

"All of these are wonderful choices, Athena. Everyone will love it" exclaims Gwen happily. "I hope so. I've never had to do anything like this before. I don't even know how to be a Luna let alone lead a pack this size" I explain nervously, my mates still focused on eating the food. "Don't worry my dear, you'll be a natural. You were born for this. And remember, your mates will always help guide you as will I" smiles Gwen as we continue to sit next to one another, finally done with all the planning for both ceremonies. "Speaking of guests, who's all attending?" I ask, curious as to who would all be coming to the ceremonies.

"Well our pack of course. Then we'll have the High Council, the Lycan King, along with all the pack leaders from our neighboring packs, which is currently at 12" admits Eros, once his mouth was empty.

Who?" I ask, not realizing we had that many packs in alliance with.

"Well, there's us. And then we have the Midnight Pack, Eclipse Pack, Shadow Pack, Silver Moon Pack, Night Shade Pack, Blood Moon Pack, Crimson Shadow Pack, Dark Moon Pack, Snow Pack and the Blood Rose Pack" explains Ares.

Mentally counting I only move to count 11 packs, which meant we were missing a 12th one. "We're missing one" I say, looking at my mates. "Well.. not technically. But if we don't move to include our pack we would be missing 2 other packs. The Moon Walker Pack and the Moon Valley Pack. But since Moon Valley no longer exists, it's just the Moon Walker Pack," explains Eros.

At the mention of my aunt's pack, I shudder. "Do we have to invite them?" I plead, not wanting to see them, least of all Brian and Diana. "I whine.

Unfortunately, yes, yes we do grumbles Ares not liking it either.

"Because it'll be frowned upon if we don't. And as much as I don't want to, I know that we must replies Eros, knowing our hands were tied.

Sighing, I move to drop the conversation only for Kai to reappear only moments later. "Alpha's, the pack has all been assembled and your father is there as well".

Not realizing the time, it was now time for the pack meeting as we all moved to stand including Luna Gwen. "Well then, best be off. Don't keep the pack waiting" chuckles Gwen as she moves to shoo us out.

"Okay mom. We're going. See you there" chuckles Ares as he moves to kiss his mother's cheek as does Eros before moving to lead me away from the room and over to a huge area where our pack meeting would be held. Chapter Comments
