Third Person's POV

It doesn't take Kai long to follow after Lily, the said girl in question leading Kai towards the forest. Where is she going? Wonders Kai making sure to stay hidden from view.

why Sticking to their surroundings, Kai makes sure to keep enough distance between him and Lily as the said wolf continues to walk deeper and deeper into the forest, her eyes occasionally looking around her surroundings as if checking to make sure she wasn't being followed before continuing. Eventually approaching her meeting spot, Lily moves to wait. Kai hiding behind a rather large tree, hiding his body from sight as he too waits, wondering who or what Lily was doing all the way out here.

d did she walk all the way into the forest? Pondered Kai, a bit confused and unsure of the reasoning behind it. "Kai?' calls Eros threw their link.

'Any luck with Lily?' asks Eros, he and Ares suddenly impatient.

Nothing yet I'm afraid. All she's done was lead me out into the forest admits Kai, still hiding behind a massive tree. Occasionally peeking out from behind it, making sure she was still there and didn't magically vanish.

sure, I'll keep you posted once I learn more' answers Kai just as the sound of a snapping branch could be heard off in the distance, alerting him that someone was approaching them. "Someone's coming. Gotta go' and with that he disconnected the link before his could comment once more as he now turns his focus over to Lily.

Silently watching them, a man slowly approaches them. The figure standing about 6'5 in height,

his firm chiseled jaw set. Amber eyes and chestnut colored hair setting his look. Dressed in nothing but tight fitting blue jeans, black combat boots and a white polo shirt, Kai would have been intrigued by the man before him but as he continued to watch the pair Kai couldn't help but feel intimidated by his presence. The man was clearly much taller than his Alpha's who only stood 6'3 in height.

"What news do you bring me runt" barks a deep voice to Lily, his amber eyes focused on her and

her alone.

"My King... that b***h-" starts Lily, only to be stopped as the man's hand quickly clasps around her neck. Stopping her from completing her sentence.

"Careful what you say... that "B***h" as you say will be my Future Queen. Disrespect her again and I'll cut out your tongue" growls the man, eyes narrowed before shoving Lily aside who coughed. once set free of the hold. Suseny my kings that make as she moves to hold her necks gain, but the the coins are now en my King" coughs Lily as she moves to hold her neck gently. "But the Alpha twins are now enforcing new rules into the pack. I won't be able to get anywhere close to her now" replies Lily, as the man's eyes narrow even more. huh... This shall be interesting..." murmurs the man before focusing back on Lily. "I don't care what you do or how you do it but I want constant tabs on her! I want to know exactly what my Queen is doing growls the man. "Yes my King" says Lily as the man turns to leave. Ah, King Ezra, where are you going?"

her over to me sooner" was all he said before leaving the way he came.

Waiting until he was gone, does Lily sigh, moving to return home as she goes unaware that Kai had seen and heard everything that had transpired between the pair. 'Not good, not good Frost' replies Kai to his wolf.

Agreed. We need to let Ares and Eros know that Lily is working with the Rogue King, replies Frost, now worried that their pack could be next.

'No! I refuse to think that our pack could perish.. Our pack is strong and is our Alpha's. They'll protect our Luna or die trying' growls Kai.

'For the sake of our pack, you better be right. Otherwise there could be a war on our hands' was all Frost says as Kai races back towards the pack house. ALPHA'S... EMERGENCY' shouts Kai threw the link

'WHAT?!' yells Eros.

'Kai? Is everything okay?' asks Ares.

"Yes.. But I must speak with you. It's urgent' was all Kai said as he continued to run.

POV-

When Kai's voice came back through the link, I thought it would be an update on Lily for the girl in question had suddenly left the pack meeting and hadn't been seen since. Looking at Eros, we both silently nod our heads. "Alright, we'll meet you over in father's office' is all I say to Kai as Eros and I move to head for father's office.

"Is everything okay?" asks Athena, her eyes filled with worry as she looked at her mates.

"Yes.. Eros and I have something to do and we'll be back in no time" I assure her, hoping to ease our mate's fears. whispers as she towards our room.

"WAY" Well, causing Athena to stop. Walking over to our mate, I gently pull her into my arms before kissing her deeply.

Startled and a little confused, Athena slowly returns the kiss. Coaxing her gently, I gently caressed her lip with my tongue, causing her to sigh, giving me that opening needed to claim what was ours, her mouth.

Moaning, she slowly closes her eyes as she moves to enjoy the tiny moment. Éros standing off to the side as he watched. Pulling away, I move to look at her tenderly. "Everything will be okay love, you just head up to bed and we'll join you shortly" I tell her. Nodding, she carefully heads for the stairs only to pause long enough as Eros moves to kiss her goodnight as well.

Dazed, we silently watched her leave until she was finally gone from view. Once gone I quickly move to focus on Eros. "Hurry.. Whatever Kai found can't be good" I tell him, Eros nodding as we move to head for father's office, Kai already there waiting. 3/4 314 Chapter 45

"Kai? Is everything okay?" asks Eros, just as we move to enter the room.

"No, I'm afraid not my Alpha's" starts Kai as he moves to face us.

"No? What happened? What did you replace out" I ask, now worried.

"Lily.. She's working for the Rogue King.. He's keeping tabs on Athena anyway he possibly can" replies Kai, his face neutral as he speaks.

"WHAT?!" shouts Eros and I.

"Are you positive?" asks Eros.

"Oh I'm sure alright. He clearly called her his Queen. On top of it, he plans to do something to the Moon Walker pack" explains Kai.

"Are you sure?" I ask, wanting to be sure he heard correctly.

"Oh I'm sure Alpha. When he spoke of them he didn't seem thrilled about it. Sounded like he was angry about going there" answered Kai as he remembers the Rogue Kings reply.

Sighing, In

I move to lean against the door of my father's office. "Not good, Not good. We'll have to keep extra eyes on Athena until we know more" I say not liking the idea of caging up our mate just to keep her safe.

"Indeed. But we should at least tell father about the Moon Walker pack, maybe he can warn them before it's too late" offers Eros, not wanting to see another pack fall at the hands of the Rogue King, even if they did deserve it.
