Owned By Her Triplet Bullies -
(Bk 2) Chapter 9
Mason's
POV
She screamed as she flailed her arms around in the pool. I stared at her in shock.
"Oh my goodness! Lexi! Are you okay?" Madison yelled.
"Help! Help!" Lexi called out. But her voice was muffled as she gurgled on water.
"Mason, hurry up and help her. She can't swim," Madison said nervously. I glanced at her.
"Me? Why me?" I asked.
"Seriously? She's going to drown. Hurry up and jump in," she screamed at me.
"Ileus hates getting his fur wet," I sighed and pulled off my shirt. Madison pushed me into the pool before I could jump in myself.
"I was just about to get in. Why did you have to push me?" I inquired loudly.
"Hurry up and save her already," she yelled. I swam towards her and grabbed her by the waist. Much to my surprise, she pushed me off. "D..don't touch me," she said through the water. Her head kept going in and out but when I tried to steady her, she pushed me off.
"Don't be stubborn. Do you want to drown to death?" I asked.
"I would rather drown than have you touch me," she retorted.
"What's taking you so long? Bring her out already," Mady said.
"You are not drowning on my watch," I said. I grabbed her and pulled her along.
"I told you to let me go. I don't want your help," she insisted, struggling with me. Her struggles and the force of the water were making it harder for me to swim. Why does she have to be as stubborn as a mule?
"What are you both doing?" Mady asked curiously. I continued to drag her along and soon enough, she got tired of struggling. I felt her calming down which made it easier for me to carry her out of the pool. I was panting hard after all that yelling and struggling. "Are you okay?" Mady asked hurriedly, kneeling down beside her. Lexi coughed non-stop and Mady hurriedly covered her up with a towel. I collapsed onto the tiled floor.
"Thank goodness you are okay. Let's go in before you catch a cold," she said before gently pulling her up and holding onto her to support her into walking.
"Mason, you should hurry up and come in too," she said as they both left together. I sighed before standing up from the floor. Never have I ever met such a stubborn girl before. Even in the face of death, she refused my help. Just how much does she hate me? "Are you okay sir?" an Omega asked, hurrying towards me with a towel. I nodded and took it from her. I wrapped myself in it before heading inside. I met Lexi sipping a cup of steaming coffee.
"Mason, have something warm too," she said walking towards me with a cup. I took it from her. Lexi looked like she finally realized I was present. She hurriedly dropped the cup and walked towards Mady.
"I had the most absurd thought that you both were related while I was in the pool. Can you believe that?" she chuckled. I frowned. Did she perhaps hit her head when she fell? What was she talking about?
"It wasn't an absurd thought. Mason is really my twin brother. What's wrong Lexi? Should we take you to a hospital?" Mady asked anxiously. She gently walked towards the sofa and crashed on it.
"He really is your brother," she chanted repeatedly. Madison and I glanced at each other.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a brother? Mason at that?" she asked.
“།
I forgot to mention him. Why? Did you know him before?" Mady replied.
"How can you forget such an important thing?" she muttered through clenched teeth draping the towel tighter around her body.
"That's not the most important thing right now. The important thing is your health. I think I should call a doctor to check up on you..."
"If you are twins, why don't you look like each other or behave like each other?" she asked again, cutting Mady off. Why was she obsessing so much about us being twins? I took a seat and sipped the hot coffee while watching them.
"We might be twins but that does not mean we should be the exact mirror image of each other. We are two different people so it's normal for us to have different personalities," Mady explained.
"Why can't you both be the same? You only ended up confusing me," she muttered gulping down her hot coffee as she glared at me. Didn't it burn her tongue? She didn't even flinch.
"What's really going on here?" Mady asked, crossing her arms in front of her.
"When I showed you the boy whose fans were troubling me, why didn't you tell me then and there that he was your brother?" she asked.
"When I turned around, I didn't see anyone...." she trailed and her eyes widened to the size of huge saucers. "Wait a minute, the boy you complained so bitterly about was Mason? This Mason?" Mady asked. Why were they talking about me like I wasn't here? Lexi nodded her head.
"Wow! Don't tell me the girl you told me about, the one that hated you to the core was Lexi?" she asked, turning towards me. Lexi glanced sharply at me.
"What lies did you tell her about me?" she asked angrily.
"You told her about me first," I retorted. She scoffed.
"This is unbelievable. You two were complaining about each other all this while and I had no idea," Mady said. Lexi sneezed.
"Are you okay?" Mady hurriedly asked. She nodded.
"I need to get going now. My parents will be worried," she said, shrugging her towel off.
"I apologize for everything again. Mason will drop you off," Mady said. I almost choked on my coffee.
"No. It's okay. I can replace my way home," Lexi hurriedly insisted.
"I promised I would let someone drop you off, didn't I?" Mady asked.
"That someone was Mason," Lexi whispered.
"Yes, is there something wrong with him? Do you dislike him that much? I believe your disagreement is probably due to a few misunderstandings. Am I wrong?" Mady asked, glancing between the both of us. Of course, she was. Lexi hated me with passion. "Absolut..."
"You are right Mady. I'm sure we don't agree on things due to a few personal misunderstandings. It's not that deep," she responded hurriedly with a smile cutting me off. I stared at her in disbelief. She definitely told me we would never get along in this lifetime. If that wasn't deep, what was?
"That's a huge relief. In that case, Mason will quickly drop you off at home," Mady replied with a smile.
"I will?" I asked her with a frown.
"Yes you will," Mady answered firmly.
"Why will I do that? I don't remember anyone asking my opinion about this," I said.
"You need to do it. You both can sort out your differences afterward. Right Lexi?" she inquired.
"Absolutely. I can't wait," she muttered with another smile. What the hell was going on here? Mady brought the car keys and shoved it into my hands.
"Get going. Lexi is getting late. Make sure you drive safely, "Mady said sweetly. I tried to reach for my coffee but she snatched it out of the table.
"I can always make you another cup when you get back," she said, dragging the towel from my body and pulling me up.
"Lexi, make sure to take some cold medicine, okay?" she said, walking towards her and giving her a hug. I walked out of there and got into the car. I would just pretend I was making a food delivery. I do that all the time for my mum. Within the blink of an eye, everything would be over. I assured myself. I saw her walking towards me. She got into the car and I started to drive immediately. I had just driven out of the pack gates when...
"Stop the car," she ordered coldly.
"Why?" I asked in surprise.
"Stop the f*****g car," she repeated loudly this time. I pulled over and she tried to get out.
"What do you think you are doing? You agreed to allow me to drop you off," I muttered.
"I only did that because I didn't want to make Mady upset. I ordered a cab and he's right over there," she said. I glanced around and through her words, I saw a parked cab.
"Is this any way to treat someone who saved you from drowning? Weren't you taught how to show gratitude?" I asked in disbelief.
"Whose fault is it that I fell into the pool anyway?" she inquired rudely, glaring at me.
"Don't be delusional into thinking I would sort out anything with you. Everything I said in there was because I didn't want to hurt Mady's feelings. How did someone like you get such a nice sister? I will never be on good terms with you," she said with so much anger. Her eyes suddenly grew watery and she sneezed on me whipping my face with her hair. I clenched my fists angrily. She got out and slammed the door.
I took out a tissue and furiously wiped my face. Just how crazy and two-faced was this girl?
