Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 10

Lexi's POV

"He's my twin brother"

"You both only had a misunderstanding. You will sort it out right?"

"He's my twin brother," her words echoed in my head like chiming bells. I couldn't seem to forget about it no matter how hard I tried. This was the reason I ran to school in my wolf form today to try and clear my head but instead, the voice and the words seemed to become clearer by the minute.

I picked up my pace running past the blurry trees, houses, cars, and people. The chilly wind whipped past my fur. Ten minutes later, I arrived at school. I stopped behind a tree and dropped the backpack hanging in my mouth. I shifted back and began to wear my clothes. After I was done, I picked up my backpack and headed to the school premises.

"Are you feeling better?" Darcey asked.

"No, not even one bit," I responded in a low spirit. I mean how could anyone feel better after replaceing out what I found out? It was impossible. This was the third day after I found out that my new and only friend who was the nicest person I had ever seen was actually the person I hated most sister.

But, how on earth didn't I replace out about that sooner? They were both the Alpha's children, both good-looking, popular, and many other things. Why on earth didn't I connect the dots earlier? It would have saved me from this t*****e. They had everything alike except their faces and personalities. Their personalities were a million miles apart.

I entered the school hallway and found out it was empty. I glanced at my watch to make sure I wasn't too early and I wasn't. So, where did they all go? I walked towards my locker and dropped off my backpack. I caught sight of that same picture with Mason's face on it. I let out deep breaths to calm myself down but I couldn't.

"Were you sent to ruin my life? Out of everybody you could be related to why does it have to be Madison?" I asked furiously, punching his photo.

"Why does it have to be my only friend? Why? Why?" I yelled repeatedly at his photo in fury.

"What are you doing?" a voice asked. I stopped hitting his photo immediately. I hurriedly fixed my hair, it must have looked like a mess. I turned around angrily to give the girl that interrupted me a piece of my mind. She must be one of those fans of his. I was met with the image of a girl in a hat. It seemed to be covering most of her face but when she looked up at me, I caught sight of her features briefly. She had light green eyes, reminding me of fresh early morning grasses, little pink lips, and flushed cheeks which must be due to the chilly weather. I caught sight of her black hair which was carefully tucked in the hat.

I sneezed heavily and repeatedly feeling my eyes tearing up. Damn this cold I had gotten at Mady's place. It wouldn't just disappear.

"Are you okay?" the girl asked, handing me a tissue. I took it muttering a thank you and wiped my throbbing nose with it. This was so embarrassing. Meeting someone for the first time and all I could do was sneeze even if it was involuntarily. She was taller than I was, slim, and had the body of a model.

"Are you sure you are fine?" she asked again standing beside me.

"I'm absolutely fine," I responded. She nodded and stared at Mason's picture in front of us.

"Annoying right?" she asked, taking a quick glance at me.

"What? Him?" I asked slightly confused.

"Yes, you were upset at him too, weren't you?" she inquired. I nodded in response. She smiled.

"Apart from the fact that he's so annoyingly handsome, what else do you hate about him?" she inquired, tilting her head slightly.

"What?" I frowned.

"Don't worry, I'm not one of his fans so you don't need to worry about me telling on you. Except you like him?" she inquired without looking at me.

"No. Absolutely not. Why would I like someone like him? Never in a million years," I refuted her claims vehemently. She glanced at me with a chuckle.

"Right? It would be crazy to fall for someone like him," she said.

"Right. It would be a disaster. I'm not sure he's capable of feeling any emotions. He's blunt, cold, and an extreme narcissist, he likes to brag about himself and he's a pervert," I defined his exact personality to her.

"What? Pervert? Him?" she asked, pointing to his photo in surprise. I nodded repeatedly.

"Yes, he is. Don't be swayed or blinded by his good looks. Underneath all that, you don't want to replace out what he's like," I said.

"You seem to be very familiar with him," she muttered.

"Never say that to me again. It's similar to spiders crawling all over my body. Look, I just got the chills," I said, showing her my hands.

"It's hard to see someone that hates him so much in this pack. It must be hard being the only one right?" she asked.

"No. It feels good knowing that I'm the only one who has been able to unmask him and see what he really is like. Others are blinded by his looks. I hope they see the light as I have someday," I replied.

"He must have really changed a lot," she mumbled.

"How about you? Why do you hate him?" I asked curiously. I was bound to be curious. She's the only one I've met who admitted to that. I had thought Mady was too but it turned out she was the closest person to him, which is still infuriating by the way. "Me? Let's just say my heart has a few grudges to settle," she replied.

"Then, take this from me. When you speak to him, you will be tempted to be one of his numerous fans but never succumb to that temptation. Understood?" I advised firmly.

"Understood," she nodded with a smile.

"But, I've never seen you before. Are you new here? Is today your first day?" I asked. I hurriedly turned around when I felt the urge to sneeze. I sneezed into the tissue several times. I sniffled and wiped my teary eyes wondering why she hadn't answered my question. "Lexi?" I heard Mady call out to me. I looked up at her and she waved with a smile on her face. I glanced beside me and the girl was no longer there. Where did she go so fast? I thought in surprise. I would deal with that later. For now, I needed to leave. "Where are you going?" she asked, stepping right in front of me. I gasped moving back in surprise.

"Uhm... nowhere. I was just trying to get something from my locker," I lied.

"Were you avoiding me? I didn't see you throughout yesterday," she said. I chuckled.

"Of course not. What reason would I possibly have to avoid you?" I lied again. There was one reason, one and the most important. I glanced behind her wondering where the girl went.

"Mady, did you see anyone besides me while coming in?" I asked curiously.

"No, when I came you were alone. Why? Was there someone else with you?" she responded. Where did she go so fast? Was I perhaps speaking to a ghost? Ghosts don't exist Lexi and even if they did, you won't be able to see them. I mentally comforted myself. "You still have a cold? Didn't you take medicine like I asked you to?" she inquired with a frown.

"I'm fine," I replied.

"You are obviously not fine. How can you be fine when your cheeks and nose are all red? Your hands are so cold too," she said as she held my hands in hers. She suddenly started to remove her jacket.

"You don't need to do that. I'm really fine," I hurriedly said.

"Keep quiet and wear this. You are like a big baby. If I don't take care of you as your only friend, who will?" she inquired handing over her jacket to me.

"But the reason why you brought this was because you were cold. How can I take it from you?" I asked worriedly. She came behind me and forced me to wear it.

"You need it more than I do," she replied. I smiled at her kind and thoughtful nature.

"Thank you," I said wholeheartedly.

"You don't need to thank me. We are friends and we need to look out for each other," she responded with a smile. That's right. She was my one and only friend in this school. It was stupid of me to think of ever letting her go because she was Mason's sister. I refuse to lose any more people close to me because of anyone.

"You are right. We are friends," I said with a wide smile. And this time, I really meant it.
