Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 15

Lexi's POV

"Are you still drunk? I just told you...what you did last night and all you could do is yell about why I didn't go in the opposite direction? I saved your life three times and I never heard a word of gratitude. Instead all you do is yell and go on about how much you hate me when I never did anything to you. Were you raised like that or that's just the kind of person you are?" he asked harshly after a moment of silence.

"Don't you ever f*****g dare talk about my upbringing. You know nothing about me," I replied angrily. He stood up from his chair.

"I know exactly the type of person you are. You've shown me that much since we met," he said.

I scoffed. "So, what do you want from me? Do you want me to go on my knees, worship, and thank you for your act of kindness towards me? You might think of yourself as highly magnificent and all but if you are waiting for me to do that, you will end up waiting till eternity."

"I'm not asking you to thank me for whatever I did. I did what I did because I chose to, not because I was expecting anything in return," he said.

"Great then. I will be on my way and we can pretend this never happened. I promise this will never happen again. You won't ever have to battle with your righteous morals when it comes to me. We can both continue living as strangers just like we used to," I replied, removing the sheets from my body and dropping them on the bed.

"I will be thrilled if that were to happen," he responded. I nodded and glanced around the room.

"Where are my clothes?" I asked rudely.

"Someone will bring them over," he replied and walked out of the room. As soon as he left, a lady walked into the room with my clothes, shoes, and phone. But, I couldn't help but notice she looked surprised to see me. Why would she be surprised though? I'm sure this wouldn't be the first time she was seeing a girl in her young master's room. Not that I wanted them to think about us like that. The thought of that alone was annoying.

"Good morning miss. Your clothes have been thoroughly cleaned," she informed me politely.

"Thank you," I said skeptically as she dropped them. She walked out of the room, I followed behind her and locked the door before walking towards the bathroom to get changed. I also locked the bathroom door. I got dressed and stepped out. The time was 5 pm meaning I still had more than enough time to go home and get dressed for school.

I pulled open the door to head downstairs but I was met with Mason. He appeared to have been waiting by the door. It was good that I locked it. I walked past him as I started to go down the stairs till I heard him speak.

"I never touched you or took advantage of your drunken state. No matter what you may think of me, I'm not that kind of person," he said in a calm tone. I looked towards him but he stepped into his room and slammed the door shut. I don't know why but those words of his felt like something had just been lifted off my chest. I had been so scared but after what he said, I felt relieved.

The living room didn't look like a party was thrown in it at all. The entire space looked clean. It must feel great having people who cleaned up after them. I scrolled through my phone trying to check if I could order a ride. Mum and Dad had called me numerous times. They even left a message. They must have been so worried.

"Miss, I was asked to take you home," a man standing beside a car said as soon as I stepped outside. He got the door for me and gestured for me to get in. I smiled in relief. Mady must have asked him to drop me off. Only she cared enough to do that. She wasn't my friend for nothing. We arrived at my home soon enough. The dark sky was beginning to get clearer.

"Thank you for dropping me off and give my appreciation to Mady as well," I said to him politely as soon as he stopped the car.

"Miss Madison didn't ask me to drop you off. She isn't awake yet," he replied.

"Really?" I inquired in surprise. Who else could it have been? Could it be Torres? But I didn't know him that well except if he ordered people to drop off all his guests.

"The young master asked me to drop you off," he said. My eyes almost popped out of their socket as they widened in shock, surprise, and disbelief.

"Mason?" I asked just to be sure he wasn't joking. He nodded.

"But why?" I asked again.

"I wouldn't know, miss. My job is to do whatever I'm ordered to but my guess is that he wanted to make sure you arrived safely since it's still too early," he explained. Why would Mason care if I arrived safely or not? We are enemies. "Miss, I need to get back to the pack now," he said. I glanced at him in surprise. I didn't realize when he walked towards the door and held it open for me.

"Sorry," I muttered as I stepped out. I opened the front door and walked in still confused. Why would Mason...

"Why did you come back so late?" Mum asked worriedly. I gasped, placing my hand on my chest, they were both sitting on the sofa.

"I'm so sorry, my battery died," I apologized. They both quickly walked towards me.

"We were so worried when we couldn't reach you. We thought something had happened," Dad said.

"I'm okay. I fell asleep at my friend's place without realizing it. I'm sorry again," I replied.

"It's okay as long as you are fine and you had fun," Mum said with a smile.

"I had so much fun that you can't begin to possibly imagine," I responded.

"That's good then," Dad said.

"It is. I need to prepare for school else I might be late," I informed them before walking towards my room. I locked the door and lay down on my bed with a sigh. There was still a dull ache in my head and I felt tired. I yawned, all I wanted right now was to take a little nap before I got ready for school. I gently closed my eyes and fell asleep, forgetting where I was or what was happening around me.

"Dad, I got the best grade in my class," a younger version of me said excitedly. But, the man looked at me with cold eyes and pushed me away as he staggered into the darkness.

"Did you think I would love you? How foolish and naive of you. You don't deserve love. You deserve to suffer for the rest of your life," I stirred, the words piercing my heart like a dagger.

"Get lost!"

"You don't deserve love!"

"You deserve to suffer!"

"No," I muttered painfully as I cried but then the high-pitched cold and ruthless laughter muffled my cries. I cried out as I woke up with a start. My mind was blank. My eyes frantically darted across the room as I panted hard. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I whispered the things I could set my eyes on that would help me remember where and who I was.

"Crescent pack, mum, dad, picture frame, Lexi Jones," I chanted repeatedly. I continued to call out different things I could remember till I calmed down and I could no longer hear my harsh breathing. I took a look at the side of the bed where I lay, it was wet with tears and sweat.

"It was only a nightmare," I assured myself as I lay back down on the bed but I was afraid to close my eyes in fear that I might have to revisit that memory. The memory of the nightmare that has plagued my mind for a very long time. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't bring myself to forget about it. I clutched the pillow tightly to my chest in fear. My body trembled as tears involuntarily flowed down my cheeks. I tried hard to keep the tears in so I don't wake my parents up. It would only make them worried. I stood up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom with the thought of getting ready for school. I took a deep breath and wiped off my tears. No matter how hard it was for me, I couldn't back down. No, I won't break down. I had to keep going. Because that is the only way I would be able to survive.
