Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 24

Mason's POV

"What did you just say?" I asked, wondering if my ears were playing tricks on me.

"Are you deaf? I'm sure you heard what I said. Why would I repeat it to satisfy your ego?" she sneered. I did hear her correctly. But, was she complimenting me or insulting me?

"By any chance, do you have dementia?" I asked curiously. She glared at me furiously.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm just confused. One minute you are going on about how you hate me, the next you are complimenting me and once again you are back to being your rude self. I couldn't help but think..."

"Keep your thoughts to yourself. I can do whatever I want to do, and I wasn't complimenting you," she said, cutting me off. She stood up from the floor.

"I should have informed Mady before coming. I ended up wasting my time," she remarked and turned around to leave. I just stared at her without saying a word for a while.

"Do you live with your parents?" I asked her in her steps abruptly.

She scoffed. "Why? Are you confused about my upbringing too?"

"Who wouldn't be?" I retorted. I wanted to meet her parents even if it was once to see the kind of people they were. I would replace out on my own whether her behavior was hereditary, learned and copied from childhood or she just chose to be this way. She suddenly turned around and stared at me with a murderous look, she slowly began to walk towards me.

"What are you doing?" I asked with a frown. She raised her hand and I thought she was about to slap me for the questions I asked. Instead, she pushed me away and reached for her bag that was behind me without saying anything. Her shirt dipped making her cleavage on full display right in front of my eyes. I hurriedly closed them in surprise.

"What are you two doing?" A voice asked. We both turned towards the door at the same bumping our heads into each other. She yelped, clutching her head with a painful expression. "What the hell! Can't you see?" she asked furiously.

"I should be asking you that. You were the one who came close to me," I responded.

"Came close to you? Are you dumb? I was going to pick up my bag. Why would I come close to you for any reason?" she yelled.

"A normal person would have just asked for help right?" I asked.

"I never want you to touch any of my things," she retorted.

"I wouldn't even if you asked me a million times and is your head made of rock? Why is mine still hurting?" I asked, feeling it with my hand and wondering if it was swollen or bruised. "W..what?" she stuttered in disbelief.

"Are you two done?" I heard the same voice ask again. I had almost forgotten someone walked in on us.

"What's there to finish? I would never start anything with him..."

"Vivian?" I called out shocked and in disbelief staring at the girl who had her arms crossed leaning against the door and staring at us intently.

"Glad to know you finally noticed me. I've been standing here for a very long time," she replied.

"You know her?" Lexi asked in confusion.

"Are you going to get off him or do you want to continue what I interrupted?" she asked. I looked towards Lexi the same time she looked towards me. I hurriedly moved back in surprise, hitting my back on the headboard in the process. I was so caught up in our heated exchange that I didn't realize our close proximity. Anyone who came in would think something else was going on between us. I shuddered at the thought. "You didn't interrupt anything. It's all a misunderstanding," I said to her.

"I hate to agree but it's a misunderstanding. I will never do anything of that sort with him," she declared. Vivian walked towards us.

"Why do I feel like you both are lying to cover up your misdeeds? I clearly saw you with my own two eyes and my eyes never deceive me. Besides, the way you are explaining without me suggesting anything of that sort makes me know for a fact that something is going on. It is highly suspicious," she insisted stubbornly.

"I told you that wasn't the case. We won't ever look at each other in that way. We are like two parallel lines moving in different directions. We won't ever meet no matter what," I explained to the best of my abilities.

"Do you have to be such a nerd all the time? Parallel lines? Seriously?" Vivian inquired, shaking her head at me.

"He already told you it wasn't like that...wait a minute, why am I explaining myself to a little girl I don't even know? Who are you?" Lexi asked with a frown.

"Who are you calling a little girl?" she responded.

"Isn't that what you are? Anyway, I'm going home. I will visit Mady some other time. I can't stand being here anymore," she said as she picked up her bag and stormed out of the room.

"What were you doing on Mady's bed? I haven't seen you for a few months and you've already changed so much? I thought you were a respectable young man," she muttered, staring at me with disappointment. "Don't be dramatic. When did you arrive?" I asked seriously.

"You meant to ask when exactly I walked into your...," she trailed. "What do I even call it? Acts?"

"Where exactly did you learn these things from?" I asked in surprise. She was still a kid. She shrugged and collapsed tiredly on the bed.

"I arrived at the airport two hours ago," she mumbled.

"That long! Why didn't you call anyone to pick you up? Wait, nobody even knew you were going to come today," I replied.

"I don't need a babysitter Mason. I can order a cab from the airport. It's not like anyone kidnapped me. I'm totally fine. I wanted to give you all a surprise visit," she answered calmly.

"The fact is that you came all the way from the airport alone. That was a huge risk," I chided her.

"Surprise!" she exclaimed with a chuckle placing her head on my thighs and looking up at me. I stared at her. "Don't give me that look. Aren't you happy to see me? Admit it, are you angry about the fact that I came alone or you are still sulky because I just stopped you from doing something naughty," she said, raising a brow at me.

"Vivian," I called out.

"What? Don't call my name like that," she whined.

"Mum is going to be so pissed when she replaces out, you know that? I do hope you are ready for the consequences of your actions," I said.

"Mum isn't going to replace out unless someone tells her. You aren't going to snitch on me right?" she asked, staring at me skeptically.

"Vivian?" Mady called out from the door in shock. She hurriedly walked towards us.

"How? When? What is going on here? Shouldn't you be in a faraway place?" she inquired.

"Which question should I answer first?" Vivian replied, getting off my thighs.

"Start by answering all of them," Mady urged.

"When did you get back? Did you see Lexi on your way in?" I asked her. She looked towards me sharply.

"Lexi was here?" she inquired in surprise.

"So that rude girl's name was Lexi," Vivian muttered, giving me a sly smile.

"Rude? Lexi isn't rude. Did you meet her too?" she asked Vivian.

"Yes. In your bed," Vivian remarked.

"My bed? I have no idea what you mean," Mady responded with narrowed eyes.

"It's exactly as it sounds. She was...," I cleared my throat loudly and gave her a slight nudge on the shoulder.

"You were saying something," Mady probed.

"It's nothing. Shouldn't you give me a hug? You haven't seen me in a while or don't you miss me too? Mason has made it clear that he didn't miss me. I should have just remained with Grandma and grandpa if I knew I would receive this type of welcome," she lamented sadly. I knew what she was trying to do. Behaving sad so nobody questions her about why she did such a thing. She was worse than Mady in that aspect.

"Of course we missed you. I'm sure Mason missed you too. We were surprised at your sudden arrival and we are allowed to react right? It doesn't mean that we don't care about you. Come here," Mady beckoned to her, her arms wide open. Vivian stood up and Mady pulled her into a very tight hug.

"Let me go. I can't breathe. You reek of antiseptics. Were you in the hospital again?" she asked with a frown.

"Kids? Who are you speaking with?" We heard Mum's voice asking. She seemed to have checked my room first before we heard her footsteps walking toward us. Vivian glanced at me worriedly.
