Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 37

Mason's POV

She was staring at me intently like she was in a daze. The Lexi I knew would have jumped off me and yelled till my headache but she was just laying on top of me without moving. Does this perhaps have something to do with what happened this morning? It was clear that our wolves wanted each other. We were the ones holding them back. Her scent filled my nostrils. She smelt like roses.

"Shouldn't we be upstairs right now?" I asked. We couldn't lay here forever. This was the living room and anyone could walk in at any time. It will be terrible if Vivian catches us in this position again.

"We should," she replied. I waited for a while but she made no movements.

"We will when you get off me in case you forgot," I remarked. Her eyes widened as she hurriedly scrambled to her feet, hitting me repeatedly in the process. I groaned.

"It seems like every time I see you, you are always in some sort of trouble," I mumbled standing on my feet too. I was on my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water when I bumped into her. I walked towards the kitchen and poured myself a glass. "You came all the way down here for this? Don't you have maids all around who can do that for you?" she asked.

"They are omegas, not slaves. They didn't choose to be born to the lower class just like I didn't choose to be born into this life," I replied. Mum always reminded us of that fact. That we were higher in rank than them did not mean we were any better. The law of omegas serving the Alpha's couldn't be abolished so Mum made sure they all lived comfortably.

"What do you mean by that? Anyone would kill to be in your shoes," she said. I drank my water without responding. I walked towards the sink to drop the glass and I noticed her eyes kept following my every movement.

"Do you have something to say?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "No, nothing. I definitely don't want to talk about what happened this morning," she hurriedly covered her mouth with her hands tightly after realizing what she just said. She looked mortified. I decided to pretend like I didn't hear anything she said and save her the embarrassment. I wasn't sure I was ready to discuss what happened earlier too. Lyall acted too fast before I could stop him so we were both at fault.

"Are you ready for the tutoring sessions?" I asked instead. She nodded, putting her hands down. She silently sighed in relief thinking I didn't see her.

"Where is Mady?" she asked curiously.

"She went to the hospital with my mum to get Vivian. I walked from school," I replied.

"Why did you walk? Shouldn't you have come with your driver?" she asked.

"You sure are chatty this afternoon. Why are you suddenly so curious about me?" I inquired.

"I'm not curious. Who knows if, after this tutoring session ends, the principal will ask me some questions about you to be sure we really did as she ordered. I wouldn't want to be caught off guard," she replied.

"You don't have to worry about that. Your grades will prove that to her. Let's go," I said, walking past her upstairs.

"That's a lot of confidence," she mumbled. They were cleaners and decorators who were here to take the measurements of the house for tomorrow.

"Does this mean we are all alone here?" she asked. I sighed, she was making it seem like I was a predator who would pounce on her at any moment. I never thought in that direction. I turned around and she was standing outside the door. I had wanted to give her a rude reply but I don't know why when I saw the look on her face, I changed my mind.

"We are not. The omegas are here as well as the decorators. You can leave the door wide open if you want," I assured her. She still looked reluctant but she entered anyway.

"You aren't going to learn anything if you keep behaving like this. You have claws, don't you? Don't hesitate to use them if you feel threatened. I doubt it would result in that. Come over and have a seat," I said. She looked surprised by what I said but she appeared calmer and more relaxed. She took a seat and I began the lessons.

At first, she wouldn't understand any of the equations. I decided to use a more visual way of representing the problems using diagrams and relatable examples. I realized she learned faster that way so I continued using that method. We were finally done and it was time for her to leave.

"Your phone?" I asked stretching my hand towards her. She stopped picking up her books from the table.

"Why?" she inquired in confusion.

"Give it to me and I will show you," I responded. She placed it in my hands and I saved my number in it before dialing it to get hers in my phone.

"That's my number. Call me if you have any questions. Do not hesitate," I said, placing her phone on the table without glancing at her.

"Is there something else?" I asked when she stood silently without leaving. My question seemed to jolt her from her reverie as she quickly made her way out of the room. I leaned back into my chair and closed my eyes. My eyes were sore since I couldn't get any sleep last night. I had to work on the files all night because I knew that if I didn't submit them like my father ordered, it would cause more problems. I suddenly heard the sound of a car coming in. It had to be Mum's car.

I slowly made my way downstairs and I was right. Vivian was held by Mady as they all walked in. Before I could say a word, someone hurriedly bolted through the door.

"Vivian! Where is she!" he screamed continuously.

"Can you stop yelling? I'm right here," she replied with a frown.

"I'm sorry. In my haste, I forgot to bring my glasses. Are you okay? I ran over as soon as I heard what happened. Why would you eat something that could kill you? Are you fine now? Does anywhere hurt?" he asked worriedly. "Mady, you told him? I thought I told you not to?" Vivian asked through gritted teeth.

"What was I supposed to do? He kept pestering me that he wanted to see you. I had no option but to tell him you were in the hospital. He already knew something was wrong. Even if I didn't tell him, Aunt Ria would," Mady explained. "Sean? Can you only see Vivian without your glasses? Can't you see us too?" mum teased with a smile.

"Sorry Aunt Emma. I totally forgot. Good afternoon," he greeted politely.

"Where are your parents? How could you forget your glasses?" Mum scolded.

"Mum and Dad went to work," he muttered.

"Follow me, I think I have a spare one in my room from the last time you were here," Mum said heading upstairs where I was standing.

"I will be there shortly," he replied.

"Are you okay? You look tired," Mum asked as she stopped in front of me staring at my face intently.

"I'm fine. You must be more tired than I am after taking care of Mady all night. You should go up to your room and rest," I responded. She nodded and left.

"I need some water," Vivian said.

"I will get it," Sean replied, running towards the kitchen at a very fast pace. He may or may not have had a crush on Vivian since they were kids. Mady chuckled. "Don't even think about it," Vivian warned, shooting her a glare.

"What was I thinking about? I didn't say anything," Mady replied innocently.

"But you thought of it. Erase anything of that sort from your mind because it will never happen," Vivian said.

"But Sean is so sweet," Mady remarked with a smile.

"You.."

"Hi Mason," Sean waved at me, cutting their conversation short after getting the water. I waved back.

"Vivian, are you sure you are fine?" I asked.

"Why does everyone keep asking me that? I'm perfectly fine, I've answered that question a million times today," she said in a frustrated tone.

"That's because we are all worried about you," Sean replied.

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at your basketball practice?" Vivian asked.

"I skipped it. How could I concentrate when you are hurt," he replied.

Mady giggled. "You both are so cute."

Vivian eyed her before standing up from the chair she was sitting in. "I'm going to my room," she declared.

"I will help you," Sean said.

"How can you help me when you can't see clearly? What if we both fall down the stairs?" she said, making her way up.

"That won't happen. Don't worry," he assured her.

"Are you dumb? How could you leave your practice when you are the captain? What if you get replaced?" Vivian asked. They both continued to bicker continuously as they headed to her room.
