President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free
Chapter 146: Who Gave You This? Return It.

After a passionate night, both of them fell asleep and woke up when the sun rose the next day. "What time is it?"

Hayden turned her body on the bed and sleepily looked at the figure at the edge of the bed. Joseph was putting on his watch when he looked back at her, "It's eleven o'clock now." ""Eleven o'clock?"

Hayden immediately woke up and sat up from bed, "Why didn't you wake me up?"

It was her first time here at the Beckham family's old mansion and yet she woke up so late in the morning. If Mr. Beckham had known about this, her impression would definitely be affected.

"The servants came to call you three times. You didn't wake up at all."

"That's impossible." Hayden refuted while wearing her clothes, "I didn't hear anything at all. Don't fool me."

"That's because you were too tired last night. You were sleeping soundly."

"Who's tired?" Hayden blushed and murmured, "Don't be so full of yourself."

"Really? Then, you should have heard what I said to my servant just now." Joseph turned around and leaned against the edge of the table. Then, he slowly teased her, "I said you were too tired last night, so you couldn't have breakfast with Grandpa today." Upon hearing that, Hayden raised her head up in an instant and became furious, "You scoundrel..."

How thick-skinned was this man? How could he say these words out while keeping a straight face?

"Are you angry?" Joseph looked at her and pretended not to understand, "So, do you still want to have lunch with Grandpa?"

Hayden was so pissed that she couldn't say anything. She got out of bed and went straight into the bathroom.

Her cheeks turned red after looking at herself in the mirror. Her neck was covered with many hickeys, "Joseph!"

She opened the bathroom door and exclaimed, "Look what you've done!"

These couldn't be gone in a few days' time. How was she going to work like this?

Joseph was sitting on a chair and looking at the magazine when he heard Hayden's words. He stared at her for a while. Then, he helplessly tilted his head and shrugged,

"Hayden, this is something beyond control, but you could take you revenge and do the same thing on me."

"You..." Hayden gritted her teeth as she spitted out a sentence after a moment, "Bring my foundation here."

"Okay."

Joseph had a smile on his face as he raised his brows and opened her bag.

Hayden stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom. Her white blouse was all buttoned up, but the two hickeys were still visible. She didn't know if the foundation could cover it up, so she could only give it a try.

After a while, Joseph walked towards the bathroom door.

"Could you replace it?" She didn't look back at all.

"What is this?" Joseph asked her back.

Hayden looked back and saw the purple satin box in his hand. She was slightly startled, "It's an accessory? I told you to bring my foundation over, what did you take this instead? Someone gave this to me as a present. It's quite expensive, so don't lose it. Put it back." When Joseph saw Hayden's nervous reaction, he felt a little tense and asked, "Who gave this to you?"

"Jen..." As Hayden said this, she suddenly felt a hint of jealousy in Joseph's words. She turned her gaze and took the foundation in his other hand. Then, she faced the mirror and began applying it onto her neck.

She muttered, "It's a friend, from abroad."

Joseph pissed her off early in the morning, so she wanted to see him in a humiliating position too.

As expected, when Joseph heard this, he suddenly deepened his tone, "You have quite a lot of friends, huh? Is he a teenager again this time?"

Wow, he even brought up an unpleasant event from the past.

Hayden deliberately not looked at him and kept facing the mirror. She casually mentioned, "Why can't I know someone who is matured and experienced? Don't underestimate people."

"Matured, and experienced."

Joseph's voice sounded angry. Before Hayden could react, she was dragged over by a strong force that she turned around and got pulled into Joseph's embrace.

His tone was furious, "Hayden, have you forgotten that you're mine now?"

"You're hurting me." Hayden raised her head and looked at him. She frowned, "Let go."

"Who gave this to you? Return it back."

There was a flame in Joseph's eyes. His attitude was unassailable as he didn't allow Hayden to interfere his words.

Hayden wasn't afraid at all. There was a slyness that wasn't easily detected hidden in her eyes, "Well, you can contact Jennifer yourself and asked someone to send it abroad. I feel really embarrassed to explain to other people why I want to return the gift after I've just received it."

Jennifer?

Joseph was stunned.

"Don't believe me?" Hayden broke away from his hand and took the jewellery box, "This earring was Jennifer's treasure. I wore this during the farewell banquet too, but you were busy letting someone to tie your necktie at the door. You wouldn't know about it for sure." Bringing up unpleasant memories from the past, who didn't know how to do that?

Joseph felt a little embarrassed.

Hayden deliberately said that with an aggressive look. Her face was clearly waiting to hear his explanation.

"That's a misunderstanding."

Joseph frowned and couldn't explain himself.

At the entrance of the hotel that day, Viola suddenly got out of the car and stopped him. Since they were attending a banquet, Joseph didn't think so much when Viola reminded him that his tie was crooked and helped to tidy up his tie. His servants would usually tidy up his tie for him too. He just forgot about the occasion and the people there at that time.

"Where's your explanation?"

Hayden kept a tense face as she narrowed her eyes.

Joseph stared at her for a moment and suddenly regained his consciousness, "Are you picking a quarrel with me on purpose?"

"Who was... hmm..."

Before she could finish her words, her vision became dark and her words was stopped by his kiss.

"You're really a scoundrel."

After a long moment, their lips parted and Hayden's face turned red. She slapped his big hand that was simply touching her body and gasped, "Stop messing around. Aren't you going on a business trip? I have to go back and pack my things too."

As it was her weekend break, Hayden planned to move her things from Alayna's house to her new house. Her aunt was right, she couldn't stay at Alayna's house all the time. Since she found a suitable place to live now, it would be better to move there as soon as possible.

The two of them came out of the bathroom side by side and Hayden stuffed the foundation into her bag. Joseph followed her and took the jewellery box over.

"Why don't you move after I've come back from the business trip?"

"It's fine, I don't have much things anyway. I can drive and move there myself. The place is quite big too. Aren't you planning to let Noah live with me for this period of time? This would be convenient too." Joseph thought about it for a moment. Not knowing what he was thinking of, he slightly raised his brows and stopped asking.

"Oh right, send my regards to Jennifer if you see her during your business trip."

Hayden opened the jewellery box and sighed, "Jennifer gave this to me when she left, because I was about the same age with her daughter. When she looked at me, I reminded her of her daughter." "Okay." Joseph responded to her request. He was stunned for a moment when he glanced at the jewellery box, "Jennifer gave you this?"☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
