Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1094

Adam, holding his cell phone, barely talked and just listened to Mira. Then, he answered, "Well, okay, I know." When he picked up the phone, his handsome face slightly tilted, a wash of moonlight casting on his face.

Anthea felt her heart tighten and sink all of a sudden.

She drew a deep breath to steady herself, trying her best to straighten her back.

She did not want to hear them talking on the phone anymore, so she moved slightly, intending to turn around and leave.

However, Adam ended the call at this time.

It was a short call, but it seemed to have softened his expression.

He looked at his watch and said to her with a light smile, "It's getting late. Go to sleep in the tent."

"OK..." Anthea said in a low voice.

She turned around mechanically and quickly went toward the tent as if she was avoiding something.

However, before she could walk a few steps, Adam

stopped her again.

"Anthea."

Anthea had to stop. "Adam, what's wrong?"

Adam stood there with his hands in his pockets, and the smile was still on his lips. "You haven't said good night to me."

"..." Anthea's throat tightened, and she swallowed hard. She quickly gathered her strength and said, "Good night, Adam!"

Adam nodded with satisfaction and lifted his chin slightly, indicating that she could go in.

This time, Anthea did not pause - she ran straight into the tent.

After a long time, Adam left slowly, his shadow long under the bright moonlight, and there was a sparkling smile in the bottom of his eyes.

There was a river not far behind the settlement site for residents.

As the flood came, the water in the river rose high. Then, the flood had been retreating day by day. Now, there were only a few sandbags left there - all the other sandbags along the shore had been moved away.

Anthea and Declan sat on folding stools, surrounded by the fragrance of green grass in the air.

Declan came to her at noon, wanting to fulfill the promise he had made before - teaching her fighting moves.

When it came to fighting moves, Anthea could not help thinking of the scene of Adam teaching her the tricks in the woods that day - he stood behind her, showing her the moves hand by hand. She did not wan to experience such an intimate class again, so she refused. Besides, Adam had already taught her the moves that day.

After all, she was not a soldier and was just a girl who wanted to learn a few moves to protect herself.

Declan saw that she did not want to learn it anymore, so he asked her to teach him how to bind up some superficial wounds.

Anthea had used him as a cover twice to refuse Adam and felt a little apologetic about it, thinking that she had brought him much trouble. Thus, she agreed to teach him how to deal with wounds. After all, it was a piece of cake for her.

Declan asked her, "Anthea, is there anything wrong with your heatstroke that day?"

Anthea thought for a moment and shook her head. "Nothing serious!"

Speaking of this, Declan seemed to be a little depressed. "I wanted to take the food to you, but Captain Chin saw it and took it away from me!"

He was not just depressed but also somewhat melancholy.

For some reason, Declan felt that Captain Chin disliked him.

Captain Chin seemed to be a little unwilling to let him get near his niece when he was to teach her some moves in the woods and when he got her the lunch.

Declan thought that he did not live up to the high standards of Anthea's elders!

It was a long way to go! Declan sighed in his heart.

But Anthea did not know what he had in mind. She smiled and thanked him, "Anyway, thank you!"

"Don't mention it!" Declan smiled shyly and then asked tentatively, "Anthea, have you ever thought about dating someone in college? Or can you accept a long-distance relationship?"

"I have never thought about these things." Hearing his questions, Anthea shook his head.

Indeed, she said that she might accept it when her fate came, but she did not mean it. She said so just because she wanted to maintain her dignity before Adam. Thus, she said seriously this time, "No. I just want to study medicine well and become a qualified

doctor after graduation!"

She had an unspeakable scar hidden in her heart.

It had never healed, but she just pretended to be okay, as if nothing had happened between Adam and her.

Previously, she was completed discouraged by Adam. After that, she decided not to start any relationship when in college. In fact, when she had just enrolled in the university, there were boys pursuing her, but she rejected all of them.

Hearing this, Declan hurriedly waved his hand and said, "Anthea, I hope you don't mind me asking this! I just asked without thinking. I mean, boys and girls at your age always anticipate a romantic relationship!"

Two smiling dimples appeared on Anthea's face as she opened the medical kit and said, "Let me teach you how to bandage a wound!"

"Okay!" Declan's face slightly flushed.

Binding up superficial wounds was simple, but the doctor's way of doing it was more professional and effective.

Anthea grabbed a stone and told him the method while stretching the gauze.

Her voice was clear and soft. When she lowered her face, her hair behind her ears fell over her cheeks. Then, her hair swayed a little along with the breeze, raising many ripples in Declan's heart. For a while, he was unwilling to shift his eyes from her.

Somehow, he noticed a stream of cold air coming out of nowhere.

The sun was shining brightly, but a layer of goosebumps still appeared on Declan's skin outside of his clothes. It seemed that the temperature dropped suddenly, which gave Declan a chill in his heart. Declan looked back hesitantly and saw a tall and robust figure.

Sure enough, the thing that he worried about the most came!

Declan had to stand up and salute.

Anthea, seeing him salute, froze for a moment. Then she also looked over and frowned slightly.

Declan stammered, "Captain Chin, are there any supplies sent here?"

"No," Adam said indifferently.

Before Declan could breathe a sigh of relief, he heard him say, "Anthea, come with me."

"What's the matter?" Anthea stood up as well.

There was a cigarette between Adam's fingers, but it hadn't been lit yet.

He stood quietly before them, landing his eyes with hidden emotions on Declan and then on Anthea's small face. "It's not convenient to tell you that when there is an outsider here."

The outsider was certainly Declan.

Anthea frowned and looked at Adam.

She thought of the call between him and Mira last night and returned to her folding stool after some hesitation. "Then I'll visit you later!"

After putting the first-aid kit on her knee again, Anthea pulled Declan down to his stool too.

Before she could continue teaching, Adam suddenly grabbed her wrist.

He had exerted some strength, so she could not break away from him. Then, he easily dragged her up from the small stool and then strode away with her. Anthea was so angry that she shouted and forgot to address him respectfully. "Hey, what are you doing? Let go of me! Did you hear me? You hurt me!" Adam seemed to have heard nothing - he pulled her away from the river.

When he could no longer see Declan and the medicine kit, he finally released her. Seeing her unhappy face, he asked with a frown, "Does it hurt?" "Don't know how much strength you've exerted?!"

Anthea glared at him angrily.

Adam stepped forward and held her hand without any hesitation. "Let me have a look!"
