Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1103

The next day, except for the tents in residential settlement sites, many other tents had been dismantled.

The anti-flood mission that had lasted more than ten days finally ended. Many goods vans and military trucks were parking on the side of the road, and everyone was busy moving things onto them.

Many people would withdraw from this place: the rescue team, the medical care team, the local firefighters, and volunteers. They were divided into two batches and would leave in the morning and afternoon, respectively. Most of them left in the morning, and the rest would go after finishing the tail-in work.

The above information had been sent to everyone three days ago, so they all had made preparations in advance.

Most of the medicine in the medical and rescue site was left to the residents in the disaster area, and some medical equipment was sorted out and taken away.

Anthea came to the disaster area a few days later with her teacher Vincent, so she was asked to withdraw in the afternoon.

When Leonardo heard it, he winked at her secretly, saying that someone must have arranged it deliberately.

After Anthea sorted out her belongings, she came out of the tent and ran into Mira, who came here for her.

Originally, Braxton was on leave, but Adam called him, asking him for a favor. Then the couple drove over. They would soon retreat with the first batch of people, so Mira came here to say goodbye to her. "You won't be angry with me, will you?"

Mira held her arm and explained, "I was also forced to put on an act. You know, I didn't dare to refuse Adam because I was afraid that Adam would trouble my man in the army!"

Anthea shook her head, feeling a little embarrassed. "I know it. Please don't worry about it. I wouldn't be angry at you because of this!"

Mira was relieved to see that she really did not mind.

Then, she laughed and joked, "I'm no longer an elder since you're with Adam, so you shouldn't be so polite to me. What do you think, eh?"

All in a sudden, Anthea's cheeks turned red.

Carter was not the only one who saw them kissing last night. Mira and her husband were there as well.

Mira smiled and said, "You are Captain Chin's girlfriend, so don't be so polite and timid before me. It's quite embarrassing! My husband, Braxton, is Captain Chin's subordinate and friend. You can call me Sister Mira!"

"Sister Mira!" Anthea said shyly.

Mira's smile deepened. "There will be plenty of opportunities for us to get together in the future! See you then"

Anthea blushed and nodded.

Someone urged her to set off. Thus, Mira waved goodbye at her and left.

By the afternoon, the rest of the people got on the cars one after another.

Just like how they came here, the medical team took a van, accompanied by a rescue team led by Adam.

As soon as she put the backpack to her seat through the window, someone called her from behind.

"Anthea!"

She turned around and smiled. "Brother Declan!"

Declan came over to say goodbye to her. "The mission is over, and I'm going back to the army. So you'll go back with the medical team?"

"Yes!" Anthea nodded.

"Will you stay in the south?" Declan asked.

"I have to listen to my teacher's arrangements, but I think I'll do it!" As she said the last sentence, a shy expression flashed across her face.

However, Declan, immersing in the sadness of parting, did not notice it. He was filled with a sense of loss. "I don't know if we'll have the chance to meet again. Can we exchange our contact information?" "Of course!" Anthea agreed happily. "I'll add you on Facebook!"

"Great!" Declan was delighted.

After they added each other, Declan blushed slightly and said, "With my present level in the army, I can't play with my phone every day. If I have time during the holiday, I will chat with you!" "No problem!" Anthea nodded.

"Then I'll go first. Goodbye!"

"Okay, bye!"

Less than two seconds after she watched Declan going back, a tall and strong figure blocked her sight.

Anthea softly greeted, "Adam!"

"Hmm," Adam responded calmly. Then he took a military green bottle from his right waist bag and handed it to her, saying, "Take this."

Anthea blinked her eyes in a puzzle.

Adam added in a deep voice, "It's a long way to go back to the city. It will take four or five hours. Drink some if you're thirsty."

Anthea reached out her hands and took it, thanking him sweetly. "Well, I know!"

When he released her hand, his rough fingertips touched the back of her hand as if by accident.

She felt a jolt of numbness.

As if nothing had happened, Adam put his hands in the pockets and said, "Anything you need, call me!"

"Okay." Anthea's face turned red.

"I'll go first," Adam added.

"Okay!" Anthea answered obediently, gazing at his broad back.

Leonardo, who was sitting by the window with crossed legs, curled his lips. Just now, they seemed to talk in a normal way, but they were actually flirting with each other.

He did not even bear to look them!

Half an hour later, all the vehicles were driven away from the disaster area.

The van was driving ahead. As long as Anthea turned her head, she could see in the rearview mirror several military trucks following behind.

Although she could not see the person in the truck, Anthea smiled sweetly.

After driving for more than an hour, the military trucks suddenly stopped one after another. When the van driver saw this, he pulled the van to a halt at the emergency lane.

Anthea looked back and saw that Adam had opened the door and jumped out of the truck.

After giving some instructions to Carter, who ran to him, and he strode toward her.

Hurriedly, she opened the door and got out. "What's the matter? What happened?"

Seeing his tightly knitted brows and grave look, she was quite perturbed.

Adam said with dismay, "I've just received the news. Floods had surrounded a remote village in a low-lying area. Though the flood has almost receded, many villagers have been trapped there because the village is lowland. This relatively remote village has only a dozen families, and most of them are older people with their grandchildren. That's why they sent out the message for help so late."

"Shouldn't we hurry over now?" Anthea asked as soon as she heard this.

"Yes. The medical team should join us." Adam nodded.

It was a pressing matter of the moment, so he suddenly stopped the trucks despite the danger.

Anthea's little face also became a little serious. "Okay, I know! I'll tell my teacher now!"

She ran back to the car and told her teacher Vincent and the medical team leader about the situation. Although everyone was eager to go home, they did not complain when they heard the news. Everyone agreed to go back to the rescue.

Then, a military commander came down from the truck, helping all the vehicles turn around on the national highway.

Adam's truck led the way in the front, and the rest followed behind at a constant speed.

Anthea returned to her seat and put her bag back on her knee.

Leonardo, who was playing games on his mobile phone all the way, raised his eyes from the screen and tossing the yellow hair on his forehead. "Oh, the husband sings, and the wife accompanies. What a happy new couple!"

Anthea blushed with embarrassed and said, "What nonsense are you talking about?"
