Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1144

The whole process only lasted one or two minutes.

Anthea watched as he jumped down the cave and stood in front of her. It felt like a dream.

Astonished, she jumped to her feet and said in amazement, "Oh my god! How did you manage to do that? That was amazing!"

Adam rose to his feet as soon as landed. He then held her shoulders and asked, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

He had removed the twig covering the opening, and it was much brighter inside the cave. He could see her little face more clearly.

She looked fine, and there were no tears on her face. Her camouflage uniforms were crumpled, and her hair was unkempt. There were some loose leaves on her hair, but her eyes were bright when she looked at him.

Anthea grinned, showing her two small dimples. "No, I'm not hurt. The leaves down here are quite thick.

I'm so lucky!"

"Let me have a look!" Adam said.

He had been frowning since Leonardo told him that Anthea was missing.

His hands slid down from her shoulders, and he looked at her up and down, examining every part of her.

Seeing that he was so serious, Anthea said in an adorable voice, "My butt hurts. That's all. I landed on my bottom when I fell, and it's still a little painful. Do you want to have a look?"

She then realized that it sounded like she was flirting with him.

Anthea almost wanted to bite down her own tongue. She blushed and looked abashed.

Adam didn't accept the invitation. Instead, he pursed his lips.

Anthea didn't notice the look on his face. Still feeling shy, she ran to his side and held his arm. "Uncle-inlaw, you haven't told me yet! How did you jump down like that? It was so cool. You have to teach me some time... Hmm!"

She was stopped by the thin lips on her mouth.

He pressed her against the wall and kissed her so hard that she felt she was being swallowed whole.

She whimpered in pain.

Five minutes later, Adam finally let go of her, and her pink lips were so red that they looked like they were bleeding.

Anthea raised her head, feeling wronged, and only then did she see his face. It was as dark as a stormy sky.

Her heart skipped a beat.

He looked tense, and his deep-set eyes were filled with concern and anxiety.

Anthea suddenly realized that he must be very nervous about her. She comforted him in a soft voice, "Don't worry. I'm perfectly fine!"

Adam tightened his grip around her waist and sounded displeased. "Leonardo told me that you were missing, and I've searched everywhere for you. Why did you come to this part of the woods? Don't you know how dangerous it is?"

He was so anxious that he felt like there were needles in his stomach.

Although he knew that this was a tourism area with little danger, he was still terrified when he heard that she was missing. He was worried that something bad would happen to her. With every passing second, he became more worried.

He was finally at ease when he made sure that she was alright.

Every time Adam lost his temper, he looked very intimidating.

Anthea was a little scared, but when she remembered a similar situation when they were in the disaster area. Back then, he told her that she was no longer alone, and she was very touched. She immediately said, "I'm sorry."

Adam sighed and said, "Anthea, were you afraid?"

"No, I wasn't!" Anthea shook her head and leaned into his arms. "I was a little scared at first, but after I found out that I wasn't hurt, I wasn't afraid anymore!

I knew you would come to save me!"

"Were you that certain?" Adam stroked her head.

"Of course!" Anthea answered without hesitation.

She nodded repeatedly in his arms.

Adam finally smiled, and he no longer felt so nervous.

He was worthy of her trust. He would replace her, even if he had to turn every stone on the mountain upside down.

Anthea rested in his arms, and all her anxiety was gone. She sighed in relief and said, "I think this is a little romantic."

"Romantic?" Adam couldn't help laughing, as if he couldn't keep up with her logic.

Anthea blinked. "Don't you feel that this is like in the TV series? We're like the young prince and the beautiful lady that were trapped in a dried-up well togther!"

Adam didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He caressed the top of her head with his palm and said, "We have to get out."

Anthea nodded.

The sun outside had faded, and the evening glow was setting in. Soon it would be dark. She sighed and said in a sorry tone, "You shouldn't have jumped down so impulsively just now. You should have gone to replace someone and fetch a rope first. Now we are both trapped!"

However, with him around, she was willing to be trapped here for the rest of her life.

Adam said, "I don't need any help."

Anthea didn't understand. He pushed her a little away from his arms. Then he turned around and squatted down. He stretched out his two strong arms backward, revealing his broad back and strong shoulders "Anthea, hop on."

Anthea climbed onto his back obediently and asked uncertainly, "Uncle-in-law, you're not climbing up bare-handedly with me on your back, are you?"

What Adam did next confirmed her guess. "Hold on."

Anthea was wrapped tightly around him like a sloth.

Adam carried her on his back, and he looked very calm. He kicked with his military boots to replace protruding spots on the cave wall and steadily climbed up toward the exit above them.

The opening was only three meters above, and that was a standard height for his daily training.

She was petite and weighed just over 45kg, which was much lighter than the usual cross-country equipment. Therefore, Adam didn't have to use much effort. After five or six minutes, he had climbed out of the cave with her on his back. They were out in the open again.

After she was back on the ground level again, Anthea opened her mouth so wide that one could fit an egg there.

He had once carried her down a ten-story building by sliding down a rope. Now, he had just climbed up a three-meter deep cave with her on his back. Special force soldiers were indeed the most elite members of the army!

This man was hers!

Anthea's pupils seemed to have changed into the heart shape. "Adam, you've swept me off my feet!"

Adam raised her eyebrows. His face remained expressionless, but there was a proud look in his eyes. Anthea slid down from his back and looked around. She still had a lingering fear when he remembered how she slipped earlier.

"Are you going to try it again, wandering around on your own?" Adam tapped her little nose. Although his tone sounded severe, his black eyes were filled with affection.

Anthea pursed her lips and wanted to explain the reason for her fall, but she suddenly saw the warning sign a few steps away.

She was surprised and let out a little cry.
