Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1150

An idea suddenly came to Adam's mind. He felt like a husband who had returned home, where his little wife was waiting for him.

He had been married once.

However, they were only husband and wife in name.

The marriage between the Chin Family and the Hsu family was arranged by the parents. Adam, who was born in a rich family, had been used to having his life arranged by Bellamy since he was a child. He didn't care whom he married because to him, they were only his father's orders.

He and Rory had only met each other several times before the wedding, not to mention that the occasions were all banquets or dinner parties. How much affection could they have for each other?

This was the first time that Adam felt that he had a home.

Opening the door, he saw the bright sunshine and smelled the warm aroma of food. After a busy day, he went back home and entered the kitchen. Her little wife wore an apron and was working at the stove. She smiled sweetly at him, showing two small dimples.

He wanted to have children.

It would be best if he could have two daughters.

Just like her, they would be nifty and mischievous and had skin as fair as porcelain dolls.

The kitchen was only a dozen or so steps away, but Adam had already pictured their life together.

He was filled with expectation when he put his hand on the handle of the kitchen door, but when he pushed open the solid wooden door, the scene inside was completely different from what he had imagined. Anthea wore a dark blue apron that wrapped around her petite figure, outlining her soft and slender waist. She had tied her long hair into a ponytail, and only a few strands of loose hair fell on her forehead. The sunset glow fell on her face, creating a circle of light. Her skin was almost translucent.

It was like a painting.

But she looked horrified now. She held the spatula with one hand and was more than a meter away from the stove. The oil was cracked in the pan, and she was trying to move forward with a grimace. Instantly, flames rose up in the smoking pan.

Ah! Help!"

Anthea jumped up high and screamed in fright.

The corner of Adam's mouth twitched.

He took a quick step forward and pulled her behind him. He then grabbed the lid, accurately put the lid on, and then turned off the fire.

His silly girl didn't even turn on the fan when she was cooking.

Seeing that he had saved the day in a split second, Anthea patted her small chest, waved the spatula in her hand, and said, "Oh my god, I was scared to death! I thought the house was going to be burned down, and I almost called the fire department!"

Adam darted around the kitchen.

The top of the stove was a mess. There was a pile of eggshells on the marble platform, and unopened food was everywhere. There were also two shattered eggs on the floor.

A whole packet of quick-frozen dumplings was floating in the rice cooker next to the stove.

It had been cooked for too long, and the dumpling wrappers and meat stuffings had been separated. This was where the aroma came from when he stepped into the house.

"How did it become like this?" Adam didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"I just want to you have a warm meal when you come back home!" Anthea pouted. She ran to the stove and removed the lid. When she saw the burned food inside, she looked crestfallen. "It's over. They're all burned. There's nothing to eat!"

When he picked up the recipe book that had fallen to the ground, she quickly grabbed it back and hid it behind her in embarrassment.

"You don't know how to cook?" asked Adam.

"Of course I do!" Anthea didn't sound very confident. "I can make instant noodles..."

Adam burst out laughing and pulled her to his side. "Were you hurt anywhere just then?"

Anthea said pitifully, "My finger was scalded..."

Adam immediately frowned. He grabbed her small hand and saw a reddish spot on her middle finger. "I'll put some scald ointment on it."

He held her in her by the shoulder and led her out of the kitchen.

There was a medicine box in the corner cabinet in the living room. Adam put on the ointment for her. Her finger was burned red, and there was no blister, so it wasn't too serious. Anthea sat there, but she looked very displeased.

Adam felt sorry for her. "What's wrong, Anthea?"

She wasn't happy!

Anthea felt deeply frustrated and blamed herself. "I'm too stupid! I can't even cook. How am I going to be a good wife and mother in the future?"

She had been working in the kitchen the whole afternoon, but she had messed up everything.

It was more like fright than a surprise.

Adam heard her and smiled.

He wrapped a Band-Aid around her finger, then touched her head and said affectionately, "You smell like you've been cooking. Go take a shower and change your clothes." "Alright!" Anthea nodded dejectedly.

She had been in the kitchen for a long time, and the smell had tainted her clothes and her hair.

She took a shower, changed into her pajamas, and blow-dried her hair.

There was no one in the living room, but she heard the sound of the fan in the kitchen. She walked over in surprise, only to see Adam, who was wearing the apron she had taken off before.

The spatula looked as stylish as a pistol in this hand.

Anthea opened his mouth wide in surprise.

She had never seen men cook before, not in the Hsu family, nor in the Lee family in the town. Her foster parents were very traditional. Her mother stayed at home, and her father earned the money. Her mother had always been the one busy in the kitchen.

Perhaps she subconsciously felt that cooking was a very feminine thing, but Adam, who was wearing a military uniform, looked mighty and handsome. He wasn't feminine at all.

The outline of his side face was smooth, his chin was sharp, and his features were handsome.

Anthea blinked and let out a cry. She then ran over and threw her arms around his waist from behind.

She shouted excitedly, "Adam, you actually have can cook!"

Adam was very skillful.

He stir-fried the rest of the eggs together with the shrimp. Then he chopped up two chicken legs into minced meat, thickened it with starch, and threw in some chili. The aroma filled the air. He also made a vegetable soup, which was bubbling in the pot.

When he turned off the fire, he sprinkled some white pepper on it.

He took out all the dumplings that had been ruined by her cooking. He picked out the intact ones and fried them into a golden color with a frying pan.

"Yes." Adam smiled.

He had spent a lot of his serving time deep in the mountains. How could he fill their stomach if he couldn't cook?

Adam was a decent cook, but he seldom cooked himself. The Chin Family had chefs all year round, and he rarely cooked when he was alone.

He patted the small hands on his waist and said, "Go set the table. It's time for dinner."

"Okay!" Anthea nodded happily.

She took two bowls and two pairs of chopsticks and placed them neatly on the table.

There was a meat dish, a vegetable dish, and a soup, as well as the dumplings. Adam also opened two cans. They pulled out their chairs and sat down face to face. This was the first time that they had dinner alone at home.

Anthea took a bite of the fried dumplings.

It was delicious and crispy. It tasted so good that she almost burst into tears.

She looked up at Adam's rolled-up sleeve and the bulging muscles on his arms.

How unfair!
