Walker’s POV

I know we need to take out the equipment first. It will be a hard blow for the General as he can not control his creatures anymore, and that equipment takes a lot of money to replace. Our shouts follow the jeeps where Gerenal Lowe and his female sidekick drive in. At the same time, we follow the slow trucks that are protected by half his army. We will ambush them in the middle of the woods, where driving is difficult, and you must take your time going through the woods. We run ahead and put a tree log in the way where the trucks have to go through. The jeeps are way ahead, and the shouts mind-linked us, telling us what route they are following. We know the trucks with the equipment will follow the same path.

We lay in wait for the trucks to come. Some of our warriors run with the trucks, ensuring they follow the same route as the jeeps. So far, so good. The stupid creatures are not as clever fighters as we are. We see the trucks approaching, and the creatures are not like us. They walk next to the truck. They do not talk or even look around them. It is like they are marching robots and do not care about what is happening around them. I know they have no feelings as they are primarily wolves and have lost their human side, but I wonder what the effect of the drugs the scientists give them are having on their minds. They look confused at times, as if they do not know what they are doing, but I think it is when their human side is coming through. They come to the log in the road, and the truck stops. We are on the fast. Before the creatures can react, we attack, and before the driver can call for help, I rip the radio out of his hand. The human troops look terrified as they look at us in wolf form. We did not shift all the way, as we had to fight the creatures in their form.

I see Paris fighting two creatures at the same time. They are bulky but slow, as if muscles and height are slowing them down instead of helping them. Paris is fast and rips out their hearts before they can react to her attacks. The human soldiers are trying to shoot at us, but they keep hitting their creatures as we are faster than they are. I run to the truck and start killing the human soldiers, as we need to get them from contacting the General. After we blow up the trucks with the equipment, we will wait for the General. We are concentrating on the fight now, and the creatures are getting killed fast. We know we can not save them. They have been altered too much. They are not humans or werewolves anymore. They are monsters. They are killing machines that will kill humans for the pure pleasure of it.

It hurts my heart to know that these mad scientists have ruined a perfectly normal life and made these poor creatures into monsters. We can do nothing for them and need to kill them as they are nothing but a danger to society. We fought for a long time and were worried the general would surprise us if he returned to look for his trucks. We know we need to hurry up as time is ticking by fast. I mind-link my men to step up, and we start moving faster, killing quicker, and before we know it, everything and one around the trucks is dead. We load the bodies quickly into the trucks and work quickly, putting Herman’s explosives inside and around the trucks. We wanted to blow up the lab, so we had explosives with us. We blow up the trucks, and I am sure park rangers and the general will hear it from wherever they are. The shamans quickly clear our tracks, and we run into the bushes and shift back to human form. We put on hiking clothing, and we wait. We look like hikers and want to make sure the General and his beasts still with him do not hurt the park rangers or anyone coming to see what is going on.

It does not take the rangers long to reach the trucks, and they look confused. It is US military trucks, and they do not understand what they are doing here in the park. I smile as they look around the trucks. The bodies are blown to pieces, and the shaman turns the creatures’ bodies back into their human form. I hope it works, as we do not want any more stories of werewolves in the park coming out. A ranger stops us in our tracks.

“Nothing to see here, kids. Please leave this area,” A ranger says.

“Oh, we were hiking and heard an explosion. We were wondering what was going on,” Paris says sweetly. We know the general will not come near the park rangers and the rest of the people if we are around. I can smell the creatures and the General in the bushes. I do not know if he still has control over the animals, but I think so because he has a laptop with him, and the equipment was not working when they started transporting it. I know he must be furious, and I am glad our ambush of the trucks worked. We walk back into the bushes but stay near the sight.

“I am General Hugh Lowe. We will take it from here,” I hear General Lowe say. He and his men are now dressed in his US military uniform.

“Sure, General. What happened?” The ranger asks.

“We do not know yet. That is why we are here. We were practicing in the area, and the trucks disappeared. We will look into it and what the bloody trucks were doing here. They carry very expensive equipment, and we were hoping you could clear this area. Make sure no one gets in here,” The General says. The rangers nod and drive away to clear the area of campers and hikers. I am sure they do not want to piss the General off more than he is already. I smile

“I bet they were destroying evidence or something and thought Yosemite is the place to do so,” I hear one of the rangers say to his friend that is with him.

“Yeah, he did not look too happy. This part of the park is always empty, and he must have thought no one would be around. Luckily, we chased those kids away, or he would have been pissed off even more,” His friend says. They drive off, and I know they are relieved to get away from here and will not even tell their superiors as it will mean they will have to write a report, and the army will not be too happy with them. My attention goes back to the General, and I can see his creatures hiding in the nearby bushes.

“What the f**k happened? Do you think it is those wolves? I thought we tricked them into believing we had blown everything up. Maybe they are not as stupid as we thought, and Herman was right. They are intelligent creatures,” The general asks the woman with him.

“Huge, we lost all our equipment and did not have the funds to buy others. We have used up most of our funds,” The woman says.

“Eve, do you think I am stupid? I have backups of all the programs on my laptop, and we can still control the creatures we have left. We cannot make new wolves, but it is time for the vampires to turn us. We will still rule the world but make a vampire army. It was my last option as I wanted vampires to be the masters and the rest of the creatures on this earth to be our slaves, but we have no choice now,” Huge says. It is dark now, and I know the vampires must be around. I give the shamans a nod, and they start chanting softly to give the vampires daylight tattoos. We can not let Huge turn into a vampire, as he will destroy the world as we know it. The vampires start screaming, and Huge looks around at them.

“What is wrong with you?” Huge asks.

“I do not know. I feel like I am burning,” A vampire shouts back. The shamans keep chanting.

“Come here! All of you! I will try to protect you,” Huge says.

“I don’t think you can help us,” One shouted. The vampires can not run away. While the daylight tattoo spell is being performed, the vampires will stay in one place even if they want to run away. Some vampires start to turn to dust, and Huge starts screaming at them to run, but they stand in one place as they can not move. Not all vampires are evil and do not turn to dust, but we know they must hate Huge and his creatures as they look down at their arms and smile.

“The King and Queen of werewolves are here. I heard they help vampires. We are no longer following you, General, and we are free to live our lives as we want to. We will never turn you, and if we do, you will get a sun tattoo that will turn you to dust,” The vampire says.

“Attack the vampires,” The General orders his men and the creatures with him. The vampires are too quick, and we step out of the shadows, and it is time to kill the general and his monsters for good.

“Now, now, you can not have all the fun,” I say to the vampire standing close to where I step out of the bushes. He smiles at me, and we fight the human soldiers and the General together. This time we will destroy all of them. Our scouts have followed the General to his secret lab in the park so we will know where to go and destroy this one and the other, so no human or creature can use them in the future. This is the end of making monsters in this part of the world. We know the military is not involved anymore and has defended the program.

“Say goodbye to your dreams of living forever, Huge,” Herman says as he attacks the General and kills him by snapping his neck. The General did not even try to fight back as he looked defeated and knew it was the end of his life and he and his lover Eve would never live forever and be together forever, ruling the world. Herman lets his body drop to the ground, and Eve, the woman, starts begging for her life, but we have no mercy for them as they have no mercy for the poor creatures. They have turned into monsters.

Paris snaps her neck, and the creatures look like they do not know what to do now that their master is gone. They just attack because they want to kill, and we exterminate all of them that night. We will go to the labs tomorrow and destroy them. We have done enough for one night. We take care of the bodies and bury them while the shamans make nature return to normal as if there were no deadly fight. The shamans turn the trucks into rocks and make them blend in with nature. We only know that the stones once were trucks. I hug Paris as we take out sleeping bags to sleep for the night. We look up at the stars, and they look extra bright tonight. The world is finally cleared of all evil, although we know it is untrue and there will always be evil on earth. There will always be wrong in this world, and we will always have enemies to fight, but for now, we feel free and alive as we rid the world of one more evil human and his animals, as you can not call his creatures werewolves or humans anymore.
