Salute To The General
Chapter 1813

Chapter 1813

Adrian said, “We Yorks are wealthy and powerful in the West, and I'm known and selfacknowledged as the Lord there. But what should I do to prove to him that I live up to my name and impress him?"

Maverick smiled bitterly when he heard his words. "It's easier said than done to impress Mr. Goldstein. I'm going to the bathroom; I'll be back, Mr. York."

With that said, Maverick got up and left.

Right then, a group of people in the distance passed by the corridor.

When Ceaser saw them, he saw a familiar figure which turned out to be Nathan, his enemy.

His expression changed instantly, and he swore under his breath, "Why do I have to bump into him out of all people? F*ck! What a killjoy!"

As a matter of fact, Leaser had only reserved two floors of the Sunshine Club for his birthday party that night, and the other floors were still open to the public.

Since Nathan was invited to a friend's drinking party, he happened to be there and was caught by Leaser.

As soon as Adrian heard Leaser's angry swears, he looked toward the man's direction and saw Nathan.

An idea popped up in his mind. With a wine glass in hand, he walked up to Leaser smilingly. "Mr. Goldstein, it seems like that guy is getting on your nerves! Since it's your birthday, I guess it's inconvenient for you to get him. Why don't you allow me to teach that guy a lesson for

your

Ceaser sneered upon hearing this. "Who do you think you are?"

Adrian moaned, "Mr. Goldstein, you can't look down on me. I'm Adrian York from the West, a.k.a. the Lord of the West, and everyone who knows me trembles at my name. My strong fists have defeated countless enemies in the West. Let me teach him a lesson right now to prove who I truly am." Ceaser smiled subtly. "Alright, do as you please. If you can really beat him up for me tonight, I'll consider you as a friend."

Adrian was excited upon hearing this. "Yes, Mr. Goldstein! Just wait and see how he'll end up."

After Maverick had returned from the restroom, Adrian was nowhere to be seen. Where did he

go?

Meanwhile, Ceaser took his wine glass and approached Maverick along with his men and asked with a thin smile, "Did you say you're Maverick Douglas, Quent Douglas' cousin?"

Maverick quickly replied, "Yes, Mr. Goldstein."

Ceaser sipped on his wine and asked distractedly, "Is your friend, Adrian, usually this bold?"

Huh?

Maverick was a little dumbfounded when he heard this and didn't quite understand what Ceaser meant.

However, he honestly answered, "Mr. York is the son of the wealthiest York family in the West.

He's from an exceptional background, and he grew up learning how to fight. Since he's an aggressive character, he's known as the Lord of the West." Leaser curled up his lips and laughed with his friends. "Interesting."

His friends said smilingly, “Mr. Goldstein, since he could be a bold young man, who knows what he can do? He might actually beat your enemy up.” There was a glimmer of expectation in Leaser's eyes, and he smiled, "If you say so, I'm hoping that he won't let me down."

Maverick was confused and wondered: Who is Mr. York trying to beat for Mr. Goldstein now?

Along with Colin, Nathan and Penny arrived at the most luxurious private room on the top floor of the Sunshine Club.

"I'm so relieved that you came, Mr. and Mrs. Cross! I was worried that you might be busy."

A man with an elegant demeanor and wearing thick, black-rimmed glasses with slightly curly hair hurriedly greeted them smilingly with his friends.

Nathan replied politely, "I have little regard for others, but not Young Mr. Lucas."

He introduced him to Penny. "This is Mr. Lucas' son, Corey."

She couldn't conceal her shocked expression.

Unexpectedly, this gentleman

Cab, Zion Lucas.

In fact, Zion was the other most likely future president besides Clifford. In other words, Corey would probably be the son of the future president.

Penny finally understood why her

husband, who didn't like socializing before, would agree to a drinking party invitation. It was because the host was Corey Lucas.

She politely greeted, "Nice to meet you, Young Mr. Lucas!"

Corey smiled. “Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Cross."

After he finished, he turned around and introduced Nathan to his
