Salute To The General
Chapter 1922

Chapter 1922

Soldiers were bound by duty to obey all commands, and Colin and the Elite Eight had no choice butto step aside.

They watched with horror as Annan and his mates pounced onto Nathan within seconds.

“Die, Nathan Cross!” Annan yelled, raising his ax to bring it down upon Nathan's head.

The other fighters from Xyperia stuck their knives into the air and followed Annan closely.

However, before they could launch their attack, Nathan had already disappeared from their view.

He pulled his sword out of the ground and dashed into the crowd, the blade of his sword swishingthrough the air loudly.

Annan, who had been leading the charge, immediately turned into bloody chunks of flesh that fell tothe ground with a sickening splat.

Before the other Xyperian fighters could react, they suffered a similar fate as their leader. All of themwent down screaming as blood and innards spewed everywhere.

After slaughtering the Xyperian fighters, Nathan fell back and assumed his original position again,as though nothing had happened.

He stood there motionlessly, much like the calm and collected generals in history.

Matteo and his fighters could only stare at Nathan in utter shock.

Wasn't he poisoned? He looks perfectly finelWhat in the world? What's going to happen to us if hehadn't been poisoned?

Matteo bit his lip. “Everyone! He's the greatest threat to the peace we enjoy! He must die today, even if it means sacrificing ourselves!”

“Yes, Sir!” his men shouted. “We must kill the Chief Military Governor! He's the greatest threat to ourcountry!”

Matteo took a deep breath. “Show him what you've got! Let's go all out and end him once and forall!”

“End him!”

The two hundred remaining fighters raised their weapons and roared, making the ground shakebeneath their feet.

Matteo figured that it was time for him to lead the charge, and he did so with his sword in his hand, almost turning into a streak of lightning as he whizzed through the air.

The other fighters followed him, roaring into action with a battle cry.

Nathan could feel himself losing the battle with the poison, and he bit down hard on the tip of histongue to stop himself from collapsing. “The enemy's launching their final attack. We have to dowhatever it takes to stop them!”

“Yes, Sir!” Colin and the Elite Eight shouted. “Let's do this!”

Nathan opened his eyes all of a sudden and whipped out his sword, charging forward like a firedbullet.

Matteo hesitated a little, shocked by Nathan's speed.

What in the world? How could he be so fast?

His eyes widened in fear just as Nathan appeared beside him.

Whoosh!

Nathan brought his sword down upon Matteo's head, as though he was throwing an entire mountainonto him.

Matteo shivered and squealed as he frantically raised his daggers to parry the attack.

With a loud, metallic clang, Nathan's sword landed squarely between Matteo's double daggers.

Matteo dug his feet into the dirt to steady himself as he glared at Nathan with all his might.

Boom!

Without warning, cracks began to appear under their feet as they unleashed their true strength.

Crack!

Matteo's double daggers shattered into smithereens, and Nathan went in for the kill.

His sword sliced into Matteo's head like it was a piece of cake, and his head fell apart before hecould even scream in pain.

Nathan raised his leg and kicked Matteo's dead body to the side before charging forwards againwith his men, trying his best to ignore the waves of fatigue that threatened to knock himunconscious.
