Salute To The General
Chapter 1937

Chapter 1937

Right after Nathan was done with dinner, Colin arrived at the house and came up straight to him.

"We've caught the TV station director and the publishers, Mr. Cross. I've also warned the others not to do anything that will harm Mrs. Cross," Colin whispered by Nathan's ear.

"Good job," Nathan complimented.

"I've also found out that Webb and Quent are both at Aegean Hotel right now," Colin added.

A vengeful snigger spread across Nathan's lips. “Are my presents ready?"

When Nathan found out that Quent and Webb framed him as a deserter, and were even cornering Penny, he immediately ordered Colin

and the others to get two caskets ready.

"Everything is ready," Colin replied.

"Good. Let's go. I'll go see those bastards at Aegean Hotel."

"Right away, Mr. Cross."

Penny was playing with Queenie when she heard Colin talking to Nathan.

She knew they were going to Aegean Hotel to confront Webb and a trace of worry flashed on her face.

Webb was the first in line to the Goldstein family. Besides, not only did he have the whole Goldstein family behind him, but he also had the Daviers backing him up.

Nathan was no longer the General of the North.

There was only this much he could do now that he was stripped of his position. She put Quennie in Leah's arms and went over to Nathan. "Are you going to Aegean Hotel? I'll go with you."

Kylie stood up and volunteered to go with them when she heard Penny. She knew Nathan was going to settle the score with Webb and she could not wait to see him getting what he deserved. "I'm going too!"

Nathan did not plan on bringing Penny and Kylie initially, but since the two insisted on tagging along, he finally relented.

When they reached the hotel, they found out that Webb had booked the whole place.

Knowing Penny had a bodyguard skilled in combat, Webb and Quent brought with them a group of top fighters. They came prepared, waiting for Penny and Ava to walk right into their

trap.

Time was ticking by and it was about time the news went live.

Two of them sat idly in the lavish lounge, sipping red wine as they waited.

Webb checked his watch with a tetchy expression on his face and smacked his lips in annoyance. "Why is she still not here? Does she not care that I'll tear her reputation down to nothing?"

“Come on, just be a little patient," Quent advised.

Just as he was speaking, one of the men hurried in and reported back.

"Mr. Goldstein, Mr. Douglas, Penny and her company are here."

Quent and Webb exchanged sinister looks.

Before long, the group arrived at the entrance. Leading in front, was a beautiful couple who attracted everyone's attention.

It was Nathan and Penny.

Behind them, were Kylie, Colin, Ava, and Thomas.

Quent and Webb stiffened at the sight of Nathan. Dread and confusion gripped them as they tried to make sense of what they were seeing. Nathan? Didn't he disappear from the battlefield? Why is he back?

Nathan held Penny's hand in his as the lot sauntered over.

As they got closer to Webb and Quent, a horde of suited men who had been stationed across the lounge encircled the guests swiftly.

There were about a hundred of them.

Each of them scowled at Nathan fiercely, as if they were ready to pounce on him and tear him to pieces the moment Webb and Quent gave an order.

Yet Nathan stood in the middle,

totally unfazed. He gestured for

Penny to sit d

on the couch

opposite the two men before sitting down himself. His demeanor was composed and casua as if he was just attending yet another dinner with his wife.

The rest who came with him stood behind the couple, waiting for Nathan to start the conversation, but Nathan was sure taking his time.

He took out a cigarette, lit it, took a satisfying puff, and finally looked at Webb and Quent. "I heard you aft couldn't wait to see me? I hope you guys are happy now that you can see me in person.
