Damien pursed his lips, trying to suppress a chuckle when he heard Nathan. However, the few hundred suited men behind him could not hold it in any longer and everyone burst out laughing.

One of the men, who had a deep scar on his face, drew closer to Damien and said, “Mr. Camden, this man is crazy. Who does he think he is? He even has the balls to ask us to kneel down and apologize to his wife? I bet he doesn't know what awaits him."

A smug but subtle smile curved on Damien's lips. He eyed Nathan from the top to the toe before confronting him. "So you're Nathan? Sir Camden told me about you before I came over. He said you used to be the Commander-In-Chief of the

North Army. That's at least a worthy title as Sir Camden's son-in-law. But sadly, now that you're fired, you're just a nobody. You're not even worthy to gather up crumbs under Sir Camden's table, what more being his son-in-law? Here's his advice for you, young man get lost and stay away from Penny before we get rid of you."

Penny was fuming with fury when she heard Damien humiliating Nathan.

Despite everyone from the Smith family being indignant, Nathan kept his cool. "Don't say I didn't give you a chance. Since you refuse to apologize, you only have yourself to blame for what's gonna happen to you."

Nathan's words elicited another wave of boisterous laughter from Damien's men.

With a snigger on his face, Damien took a step forward and poked a finger into Nathan's chest.

Nathan raised his hand and flung his palm across Damien's cheek.

Damien stood stock-still in shock. His pupils dilated in disbelief as Nathan's hand landed on his cheek. Slap!

Everyone was flabbergasted. Damien is the family's butler! And there are hundreds of bodyguards behind him! Did Nathan just slap him?

The well-deserved slap hit Damien like a forceful bolt. It sent him flying into the air before hitting the ground seven to eight meters away. The Smith family and the whole bunch of bodyguards turned their heads trailing the human projectile in the air in utter shock.

The man with a scar surveyed

Damien nodded weakly and tried to stand up with their help.

Rage rose in his heart as he got on his feet.

He was the Camden family's butler. Everyone around him revered him and respected him.

He could not believe he was chastened by a nobody from a small city like Channing and he vouched for revenge.

Damien's vengeful glare bore through Nathan as he pointed a shaky finger at him. “What are y'all doing? Kill him... Kill him!"

The whole army of bodyguards in black charged forward and went at Nathan unreservedly. They pounced on Nathan like a pack of famished wolves, wanting to tear him to pieces.
