Salute To The General -
Chapter 2718
Hideo and Bentley quickly went to their knees.
"Mr. Karlis, we can replace you another place. We promise it will be equally good!" Bentley replied, shuddering.
"Yes! We can still go to Jetroina if we really can't stay in Eurasia anymore. There are many attractive ladies there too. You'll have an endless supply of fresh blood," Hideo agreed.
"Exactly. We will do everything we can within our capacity to be at your service. We just want to live eternally! We are willing to pay any costs." "I can't even live forever myself, and you want to have eternal life?" Karlis smirked.
"Fine. I can turn you into my kind if I'm happy with your performance. As for attaining eternal life, both of you should just give up on the idea. Even the elders of our kind could not get that. However," Karlis said, lowering his tone, "I can turn you two into low-level vampires. This is enough to prolong your lives until two hundred years old."
Bentley and Hideo looked at each other with their eyes wide. Two hundred years of life!
According to what they know, other than the masters of the Five Reclusive Families like Claudius, no one else in Eurasia had ever lived to the age of two hundred.
The thought of it put sparkles in their eyes. "We will do everything we can to serve you, Mr. Karlis!"
Karlis glanced at them, unperturbed. "Whatever. Prove it to me with your actions. You humans are known for your trickery. Besides, both of you brought this huge mess on me. The President of Eurasia is not someone you can afford to offend. Get ready to leave." "Understood!" they agreed simultaneously. However, deep in their hearts, they wondered if Karlis could face Nathan head-on.
Given Karlis' power, fighting Nathan face to face should not be a problem, unless Karlis himself was not confident.
Maybe he's afraid of Eurasia's advanced military capability or maybe he's afraid of the mass talent pool Eurasia has.
Although the two had these burning questions in their hearts, they dared not ask Karlis about it for the fear of their lives.
"But there's something I need both of you to do before we leave," Karlis suddenly said. "This matter is very important to me. So if it's done well, I will grant both of you a drop of our blood and make you guys vampires."
Hideo's and Bentley's ears perked up the moment they heard that.
"What is it, Mr. Karlis? We will do everything to make it happen!"
"Yes! We will do whatever it takes to complete this task!"
"I saw a woman of unparalleled beauty today. Not only is she pleasing to the eyes, but she is also graceful like no other," Karlis said slowly, recalling the incident. "Although I could only see her from afar, her blood was so fragrant I could smell it from where I was. She is the most beautiful woman I've seen in Aploth. Her blood is as delicious as the nuns of the Holy See over on the continent of Adrune."
Here, Karlis retracted his distant gaze and narrowed his eyes at the two. "Bring her to me at all costs. I want to bring her with me when I leave Eurasia."
Bentley smiled at the idea. "That's easy. We just need to kidnap her and flee the country. It won't be difficult." Hideo nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly. We're experienced when it comes to this."
Karlis shook his head. "This woman is different. Her name is Penny Smith, Nathan Cross' wife."
What?
Bentley's and Hideo's jaws dropped.
Nathan's wife? This is crazy'. This is equivalent to asking us to die!
"What's the matter?" Karlis questioned, sensing their reluctance. "Is there a problem with it?"
A shudder went down their spines. They could feel that Karlis was about to break them into pieces.
Kidnapping Nathan's wife is no different from challenging death.
Two of them were caught between a rock and a hard place. There was no way they could turn down Karlis, so they had no choice but to promise him.
"All right. We will try our best to kidnap Penny. We will leave the country right after."
"Good. Both of you will become part of us after that."
Within half an hour, the hospital patrol guards found the bodies of the investigation team members and called the police.
It so happened that Colin and a few of his subordinates had just arrived at the spot.
When he saw the bodies and could not replace Hideo and Bentley, his face became grim. "We're late."
