Salute To The General -
Chapter 2735
Moab instantly squinted his eyes at them.
As he observed the human trespassers, he was filled with consternation and anger.
"How bold of you to barge into the werewolves' den!"
Whoosh!
Before Moab finished, the werewolves in the cave quickly surrounded Max and his fellow trespassers.
Nevertheless, Max remained unfazed in front of the werewolf horde and the fearsome glares of their Eighteen Warriors and Four Generals.
With a pipe in his mouth, he trained his gaze on Moab and ignored everyone else. Wearing an indiscernible smirk, he added, "I wouldn't be here if I weren't bold."
"Moab, did you really think that I would risk my life and come here unprepared?"
Moab's brows furrowed when he heard the statement.
The Shamans and sages behind him had equally grim looks on their faces.
Max let out a light chuckle. "I am a Five-star General of Ariarica. If anything happens to me or my men here, I can guarantee that my country will hunt down the entire Shadow Fang tribe across the globe. If you don't believe me, you're welcome to go ahead and try." Max's words filled Moab with shock and fury.
He continued with a devious smile, "And to take a step back, even if you decide to throw everything you have at me, you're still incapable of keeping me here as long as I choose to break through the encirclement." Moab's expression darkened further.
In truth, the moment Max appeared, his keen sense of smell had already caught the scent of danger.
Cognizant of Max's frightening power, he wasn't confident of taking the former head-on even at full strength.
In fact, Max was the strongest human being he had ever encountered in his life.
Staring coldly at Max, Moab replied, "I know that you're strong and also backed by a powerful country. But don't you dare underestimate the bloodlust of werewolves. We just want to live in peace. But if humans refuse to accept us, we will definitely wreak havoc among them to show the world how terrifying we can be!"
Cracking a faint smile, Max suggested, "Let me correct you for a moment. I'm not here to cause you trouble. Also, the one who is persecuting and slaughtering your kind is Gammon and the Remdikians. Instead, Ariarica, which has always valued freedom, has always been tolerant of underground races such as yours."
When he heard those words, the tension on Moab's face eased alongside the incendiary atmosphere. Moab questioned, "Since you're not here to cause trouble, then what are you here for?"
Max answered with a grin, "I would like to propose a collaboration and also to provide you a lifeline."
Moab snorted. "Why do we need a lifeline from you when we're not in any trouble at all?"
Max couldn't help but laugh. "Gammon the Great has signed a secret decree ordering the elite warriors of the Remdikian army to hunt and kill all werewolves in the country. Therefore, do you still think Remdik will continue to tolerate your existence here? Regardless of how powerful you are, are you actually capable of withstanding the full might of the Remdikian army?"
The expressions of Moab and his men drastically changed.
All of a sudden, Goliath interrupted angrily, "Isn't this your fault in the first place? If you hadn't recruited us to kill Nathan Cross, the werewolves of Shadow Fang wouldn't be in such a predicament."
Max retorted, "I hired you to assassinate Nathan Cross, but I didn't ask you to piss off Gammon the Great. You were the one who dragged Shadow Fang into this by biting off more than you can chew, and you're blaming me for this?"
Despite turning red in anger, Goliath had nothing to counter Max with.
Max looked at Moab and proposed, "Ariarica is sparsely populated and is filled with dense forests. If you're willing to lead Shadow Fang and eliminate Nathan Cross on my behalf, I will petition my president to allocate such a piece of land for your tribe to live on so that you'll finally have a place you can truly call home. Of course, once you're living in Ariarica, you are duty-bound to serve the country whenever the nation requires it. The decision now lies in your hands."
