Salute To The General
Chapter 2778

Many were curious about how Nathan would fight against all three opponents in three different fields. Szymon made his way to the center of the hall and glared at Nathan before asking, "Shall we begin, Mr. Cross?" "Sure!"

Nathan was at ease even as he made his way to the center of the hall. He stopped when he was less than three meters away from Szymon. The two warriors glared at one another, and it looked like an epic battle was about to break out. Szymon shot a look at the board games that were ongoing on both sides. Curious, he was going to ask Nathan how he was going to fight while playing against the two masters.

Turned out that he didn't even need to do that.

Nathan issued the order to Carlos at the very next second. "Ambassador Knight, please take a seat at the checkers' table. You will move the pieces as per my instructions."

Carlos was momentarily stunned, but he accepted the orders after he came around. "Understood, Mr. Cross."

After saying all that, he went and sat opposite Westley.

Nathan thought about it before he murmured, "As for chess..."

Penny volunteered. "I'll do it. I'll move the pieces for you. All you need to do is tell me which ones to move and where to move them."

Nathan grinned and replied, "Okay."

Penny gracefully made her way to her seat and sat in front of Sandy.

The spectators' eyes were wide open as they were all surprised.

It was at that moment that they realized what Nathan had been planning to do all along. He was going to fight Szymon while directing Carlos and Penny to move the pieces for him to play against the two masters. That, in turn, meant that Nathan's mind would be split three ways.

Many spectators began feeling a little overwhelmed with mixed feelings.

They weren't idiots and knew just how much pressure Nathan would be under when tackling a challenge like that. It was hellishly tough.

Some even thought that Nathan might just be a demigod if it wasn't all an act and he actually managed to accomplish what he set out to do.

Surprise flashed past Szymon's eyes as well, but he regained his footing soon enough. He stared at Nathan, who was standing proudly in front of him at that time, and said, "Shall we begin?"

"Come at me," said Nathan before he waved his hand provocatively.

"As you wish."

Szymon roared and moved as swiftly as the lightning. His punch was as heavy as the mountain when he threw it at Nathan's face.

Nathan took a step back and moved away from that punch easily. As he did so, he said, "Move the piece on 3B one step forward." Nathan didn't shout, but everyone could hear it.

Carlos, who was sitting in front of Westley and was responsible for moving the pieces for checkers, did as told right away. There wasn't even a hint of hesitation in him. When he was done, he turned to Westley and said, "Your turn." While Westley was thinking about his next move, Nathan backed away once again to prevent Szymon's elbow from hitting him. Then, Nathan's voice came again. "Penny, place the piece in square number 44."

Penny didn't dilly dally after she heard that instruction. She followed Nathan's words to the t and did as he requested.

Both Westley and Sandy took a moment before making their respective moves.

The entire place had fallen silent.

All they saw was Nathan and Szymon going all out and having an intense fight in the middle of the hall.

To be precise, it was Szymon throwing one punch after another while Nathan remained relaxed despite the intense strikes Szymon dealt. Nathan would always move away just as Szymon was about to hit him.

What was even more impressive was that as Nathan battled against Szymon, he was directing both Carlos and Penny to move the pieces for him.

It seemed that Nathan could handle Szymon's attacks and play both board games without looking at either board. He actually looked relaxed, as he did everything with ease.

He deflected Szymon's strikes as though he were simply taking a brisk walk. The voice he used when he told Carlos and Penny to move the pieces made it sound as though he were calmly reciting the most beautiful poems. He was all alone and was fighting three opponents simultaneously. Yet, he managed to do so gracefully.

Is that how incredible the president of Eurasia is? Is this man bom to be a king?
