“Yeah. How are you?” Millie observed Vanessa.

She looked quite battered. There were two cuts on her face and bruises on her wrists, and her hairwas a tangled mess.

At that moment, Millie considered calling Winston back to see how ruthless his supposedly fragilefirst love could be when it came to fighting.

“I’m sorry, Dr. Caldwell. Vanessa felt bad.

But Millie waved, seemingly unconcerned, as she replied, “It’s no big deal.”

She let out a sigh as she stepped out from the nurses‘ station. Immediately afterward, she suppemotions and quickly dove into her tasks.

“Mr. Greer, you seem to be defending Ms. Lowell in every way possible. Can you tell us what yourrelationship with her is at this moment?”
