So, Shall We Get Married? -
Chapter 6
-What is he doing here? -Caleb takes a towel from the shelf to dry his hands while keeping an eye on her.
-I… well, I came to the bathroom.
-Do you work at the hotel? -The CEO questions her seriously.
-Yes.
-In what area?
That explained why she was taking the hotel shuttle, what he didn’t understand was why the hell that woman was in the men’s room.
-Hmm… well, I’m the….
At that they both look at the same time towards the door, it was about to be opened, that meant the bathroom would be filled with men, Caleb thought. He acted immediately, approached the young woman and ended up pushing her back into the tiny cubicle of the bathroom. He closed the door and motioned with his finger for her to be quiet.
Olivia stared at him wide-eyed, the closeness the two of them were in was slow death. She was swooning in the man’s arms, her heart pounding so hard she thought he would feel it, as their chests were pressed together. Olivia couldn’t articulate any words, she was mute, scared to death, stupefied with nerves and if that wasn’t enough, the strong scent of that man’s perfume was intoxicating her senses.
She looked at his features, taking advantage of the fact that he was paying attention to the voices outside. He actually seemed to be more concerned about the people outside, than having a woman this close in a rather confined space. Well, that was normal, it was obvious that he was a wealthy guy, who would be looking at a female employee like her.
He hadn’t even noticed her uniform, or at least the name of the boutique. What’s more, she was completely oblivious to the bag in her hand. It was obvious that she was a zero to the left for him. Nothing less could be expected. But still, having him so close made the chestnut’s b***d boil. Without a doubt, he was a fascinating man.
But then, she frowned as she heard voices outside. They didn’t sound like girls, and another thing, why did that man go into the ladies room? That didn’t make sense.
-Why is he in the ladies’ room?
Olivia dares to whisper, which causes him to catch her eye and turn to look at her, but that was a big mistake. Their faces were so close that they could feel each other’s breath.
The young woman was sure her cheeks were redder than before, she could no longer hide her embarrassment let alone her fear and nerves. If her knees were already shaking, as if that man did not continue to hold her, she was going to fall flat on the toilet.
Those eyes so bright and devoid of malice shocked Caleb, that woman’s entire face was stunningly reddish. She was so flushed that the only thing that caused him to smile at the fact that it was rare to replace a woman blushing from being so close to a man. Well, for her part, she hadn’t experienced it, until that day.
-This is the men’s room, miss.
-What? -she asks in surprise.
-Why did you come in here? Didn’t you realize it was the men’s room?
-I thought that…
Olivia purses her lips, she was so nervous she didn’t even realize it was the men’s room.
she hadn’t even realized it was the men’s room. What a fool she was, she was doing nothing but embarrassing herself in front of that man. She swallowed her breath, she was sure his countenance was frightening.
-What’s your name?
-Oli… Olivia,” she stutters her name.
-Olivia. I think the bathroom’s been left alone, so I’ll go out first to make sure we’re alone. Then you can come out, okay? -He tells her as he squeezes her narrow waist a little, which makes her eyes widen a little more.
-Yes, yes…
Caleb lets go of her, and barely manages to pull away from her. The cubicle space really was very cramped. But as he tried to get out, Olivia was shaking like jelly. And out of nowhere from her hands slipped the bag with the dress she was supposed to give to the man. And just as luck would have it, the bag fell into the toilet.
-Shit! -No, no, no, no, please, no,” she coughed once he came out of the bathroom. No, no, no, please, no,” she quickly pulled the bag out of the water, and then the dress. Oh, no,” it was wet with toilet water. Now I’m fired.
As she leaves the cubicle with her dress dripping in her hands, Olivia notices that a man has entered the bathroom.
-He knows it’s the men’s room.
-I know,” she answers reluctantly.
And with that she leaves the bathroom stuffing the tattered dress into the nearly discarded bag. Olivia skips into the girls’ bathroom and starts drying the garment with the hand dryer. She hoped that the hot air would dry it quickly and leave it without any problems.
[…]-Hasn’t the sales clerk from the boutique arrived yet? -Caleb asks his secretary as he walks to his office.
-No, sir. What’s wrong is that she…
-Call the boutique back, have her here in five minutes or I’ll leave and give them back their damn dress.
-Yes, sir.
The secretary clenches her jaw looking towards the bathroom, she thought how much was that stupid girl doing in that place. Reluctantly, she called the store, intending to be scolded.
By the time Olivia got the dress dry, she came out with it in her hand. The bag was undone. She hoped the man understood what had happened… after all, it was all her fault, if he hadn’t dragged her into the cubicle like that she wouldn’t have been so nervous.
Besides, it was huge. Barely and entrance with her, it was logical that a disaster would happen. But she didn’t count on the dress taking the blame. God, she was in so much trouble. When she got to the reception desk, the secretary looked at her seriously.
-She’s been waiting for you for a long time, and she’s in a bad mood. So come on in.
With her heart in her hand, Olivia walked into the man’s spacious and very luxurious office after he motioned for her to enter. As she entered the office, the cold hit her so violently that every hair on her body stood on end. Or was it because of the man’s masculine figure, seeing him sitting behind his desk, staring at her. He didn’t seem surprised, although, how could she know if he was, she didn’t even know him.
The brunette stood very close to the door, with her legs on the verge of failing her and that dress in her hands made of nothing. By then she had to assume something important, she had to be clear that she was already fired, and the other fact was that she definitely liked this man.
