Cooper always preferred seeing his nephew in person rather than through a phone screen. Whenever he spoke, he stood right next to the little guy, his large hand gently holding the tiny foot, reluctant to let go. "Sis, have you and your husband booked the rooms yet? If not, I can call the hotel and get two rooms reserved. Whenever Mom and Dad visit, I always book in advance."

Mia replied, "Your brother-in-law already handled it. He booked a suite and reserved an extra room for you."

"Thanks, brother-in-law," Cooper said with a smile that bore an uncanny resemblance to Mia's, which only those who truly adored Mia would notice.

Seeing Cooper's smile, Andre quickly glanced at his son, wondering if Henry's smile resembled his own or was more like Mia's.

But then, looking down, Henry let out a big yawn, making his father chuckle.

Without lingering too long, they headed to a restaurant for dinner.

"Sis, how long are you planning to stay?"

"We came specifically to see you. If everything goes well with your brother-in-law's work, we'll be here for about a week."

Cooper was pleasantly surprised; his sister's visit made him happier than even his parents' visits.

That afternoon, Cooper took some time off work to show his sister's family around the school.

At home, the phone remained silent as everyone was sound asleep.

Molly woke up sweaty from the heat, partly because Chad, who radiated warmth like a furnace, was snuggled close, making it hard for her to move away. She managed to slip out of bed and adjusted the air conditioning to cool down the room. Awake now, she began scrolling through her phone and noticed Mia's location check-in on Facebook. Molly liked the post and commented, "Saw Cooper?"

Soon after, a private message came through, "Why aren't you asleep?"

"Woke up feeling hot. Chad's like a heating pad, always has to be right next to me," Molly replied. They chatted for a bit until Chad, waking up briefly, saw her on her phone. He playfully confiscated it and placed it on his bedside table, "Time to sleep." Molly said, "Chad, there's something I need to tell you."

"Mhm," Chad responded with his eyes closed.

"I've mentioned this a few times already. During intimate moments, please don't kiss my neck so hard. It's fine in the winter; I can wear a scarf. But in the summer, I'm running out of excuses. Mom noticed the marks yesterday morning. How embarrassing is that?" "As long as you're not embarrassed, the only person who should be is our mom."

Molly, trying to keep the conversation serious, said, "Just be a bit gentler, and it'll be fine."

Chad held her close, "Alright, I'll be more careful tonight. Let's sleep." Molly, "..."

As dawn broke and it was time for Chad to head to work, he remembered his wife's complaint from the night before. Lifting Molly's robe, he admired her delicate, fair neck, sometimes replaceing it hard to control his strength in moments of passion, knowing he should leave no marks. After adjusting her robe, Chad left for work.

Coleen had instructed the staff to set aside some breakfast for "a certain sleepyhead."

Without asking, she knew her daughter hadn't woken up yet.

"Last night, she woke up and chatted with Mia before going back to sleep," Chad mentioned.

The conversation at the breakfast table shifted from Mia to Cooper. Grandma Aubree and Grandpa Elmer commented, "He's so young to be studying abroad all by himself. Don't you worry about him?"

Coleen responded, "Of course, as parents, we worry. But Cooper has made us proud, managing on his own overseas for so many years. I heard he even pays his own university fees."

While eating, Chad pondered.

"Chad, what are you thinking about?" Kendrick, his father, inquired.

After taking a sip of his soy milk, Chad decided to keep his thoughts to himself, "It's nothing."

Kendrick probed, "Thinking about how you'll educate your and Molly's future children?"

Since his father had guessed his thoughts, Chad admitted, "I admire how Cooper has become self-sufficient. The cases I've dealt with show many young people of Cooper's age spoiled by their family's wealth, lacking humility. Cooper, on the other hand, is modest and understands the value of hard work. I wonder if it's better for children to grow up away from their parents."

Though he had no children yet, he was already considering their future.

Coleen countered, "That's not necessarily the case. It depends on the parents' education. Look at Leo, Mia, Molly-despite being from wealthy families, they turned out well.

It's all about parental guidance and the company they keep. Being abroad and away from parents doesn't automatically make someone exemplary. Take Jack Ashford of Ashford Inc., despite his high education and status, he lacks wisdom and blindly follows his mother, a classic case of all that glitters is not gold.

I recently met Aiden Ashford, burdened by his son's arrogance, now sporting white hair. After a messy divorce, Aiden was left with nothing because of his ex-wife's lack of financial independence. She constantly harasses Aiden's new family, demanding support." Unintentionally, Coleen dominated the conversation.

Kendrick humorously added, "That's why a woman's influence is crucial to a family's fortune. Our family's success is all thanks to your mother."

Coleen jokingly replied, "Stop flattering me. We were discussing Chad's future children, and I've gone off-topic."

After breakfast, Chad didn't leave immediately but shared, "It's too early to worry about this. Molly probably won't bear to have our children out of her sight. She can't go a few days without video calling Henry. If it were her own child, she'd want them close all the time." Coleen agreed, "You're probably right."

As Chad left for work around eight, Molly came downstairs for breakfast, learning about the morning's discussions. "They think I won't let my children out of my sight. Let's bet that when the time comes, Chad will be the one who can't bear to be away from them."

Before Mia was born, Andre's heart was as hard as a rock. Now that they have Henry, just a few days after weaning and he's making seven or eight calls a day. He can't even last two days before he's off in the middle of the night to bring their child back home. "If Henry ever dares to study abroad, I bet Andre and Mia would pack up the whole family and move there to be with him."

Coleen remarked, "That's because Henry is still young. Andre and Mia can't bear to be apart from him. When he grows up, they'll manage."

In a foreign country, as night falls.

Mia hugged her son, who was giggling foolishly, "Henry, when mom has to go, how about you stay with your uncle and follow him to study abroad?"

"Sure! Sis, leave him to me, I'll take care of him."

Andre interjected, "Your sister is just saying that for the sake of it. She can't bear to be apart from Henry right now."

In the evening, Cooper insisted on sleeping with his little nephew, claiming it was to foster a bond.

Henry, looking at his uncle as if he were a kidnapper, burst into tears.

And his dad, he just went along with it.
