Mia's husband gently nudged her back into the master bedroom, while their little crybaby, Henry, was carried to the smaller guest bedroom, separating mother and son. Fortunately, Cooper had a knack for handling kids.

He recorded a video of Henry's wailing and played it on a loop for him to watch. Henry stared at the screen, completely bewildered, not realizing the crying baby was him. With tears still clinging to his long lashes, Henry kept glancing between the video and his uncle, his eyes clouded with confusion.

"Don't you recognize him?" Cooper asked.

Henry continued to stare blankly at the screen.

"That's Mia's son. Do you know him?" Cooper joked with his tiny nephew.

Henry just blinked, clearly not making the connection.

After spending the afternoon with his uncle, Henry had grown comfortable enough that as long as Cooper didn't shower him with too many kisses, he wouldn't cry at night.

Lying next to his uncle's bed, Henry would start babbling away, his little mouth spouting every word he knew.

Cooper used to think only fools talked to babies, but now he realized he was one of those fools.

"You know who your uncle is now, huh? Why do you think your uncle loves you so much?" "Ah-ow~~"

Cooper pinched his nephew's chubby cheek, "Your mom wanted you to be a little tiger, but why are you howling like a wolf? Can't even recognize your own kind, you little traitor from the tiger's den." Henry pursed his lips and stuck out his tongue, looking utterly adorable.

Cooper pulled up an animal encyclopedia on his phone to teach his nephew, "See, this is what a tiger looks like." Comparing the newborn tiger on the screen with his nephew, he chuckled, "You know, you two are pretty similar in the cuteness department." Late that night, Mia, worried and out of breath, weakly nudged the sturdy man beside her, "Put on your clothes and bring our son back. You're satisfied now; our son won't be a bother. Besides, Cooper has no experience with kids and has classes tomorrow." Andre, who had just enjoyed a "full meal," obediently complied. He threw off the blankets, picked up his pajamas from the floor, put them on, and left the bedroom. He crossed the living room and went to the guest bedroom.

He knocked softly, but there was no response. Andre gently pushed the door open and saw his son snuggled up against his uncle, sleeping soundly.

Andre wanted to take his son back, but Cooper held him tightly, giving the baby a sense of security. In the end, he just covered the two with a blanket and left quietly.

Mia, noticing her son hadn't been brought back, uneasily instructed, "Then go and leave Cooper's bedroom door ajar. If our son cries in the night, we can hear it right away. Don't let Cooper struggle to soothe him in the middle of the night." Like any mother would predict, not an hour had passed before Henry's soft sobs could be heard, gradually growing louder.

Andre got up and left the room.

Back in Mia's bedroom, she was too drowsy to keep her eyes open. In the end, it was Dad and Uncle in the living room, soothing Henry with a bottle of milk.

Since it was the middle of the night, they kept the lights dim to avoid irritating Henry's eyes and making his crying worse.

"Cooper, you have class tomorrow, go to bed. I'll take him back in a bit."

Cooper replied, "Brother-in-law, that's not fair. You promised I could spend the night with my nephew. What kind of all-nighter is this if it ends at midnight? You and my sister go back to sleep. Leave the kid with me tomorrow; I'm free." After finishing his milk, Henry fell asleep again.

And he was whisked away by his loving uncle once more.

Andre smiled helplessly and returned to the bedroom. After feeding Henry his midnight bottle, Andre felt like he had completed his nightly duties and drifted into a deep sleep.

The pre-sleep activities had Mia sleeping deeply as well, the couple snuggled comfortably in each other's arms. So soundly, in fact, that they had no idea their beloved son had been "stolen" by his uncle at the crack of dawn.

As the first light of day crept in, Henry was gently woken and picked up by his uncle, "Shh, don't cry, uncle is taking you out for some fun."

Miraculously, Henry stopped fussing and remained quiet, watching as his uncle sneakily carried him out, proudly showing him off.

The moment they closed the door, Cooper playfully tossed his nephew into the air before catching him again.

The two of them, one big and one small, let out clear, crisp laughter in the hallway.

"We're off."

Henry's excited laughter rang bright and melodious. Held by his uncle, he curiously observed the morning market of a foreign city.

After a late-night rain, the morning was just beginning to clear up.

The streets were damp and quiet, with few people around, but those who were out carried backpacks and walked briskly.

The roads were peaceful, with hardly any cars.

Before long, they left the hotel area and reached a bustling street. Shops were opening, and many pedestrians with sunglasses and tied-back hair carried cups of coffee.

Henry, unusually obedient in the early morning, lay on his uncle's shoulder, watching these unfamiliar people.

Soon, Cooper hailed a taxi with a thumbs-up, a gesture Henry noticed. He looked down, studying his own little hands, then raised his tiny fist to his mouth and started chewing on it.

At Cooper's university, he carried his nephew into the faculty office, "Brita, I need to take a personal day."

The older teacher, seeing the little bundle in Cooper's arms, was surprised, "My goodness, whose little baby is this? So adorable."

Henry, wary of the plump, white-haired, bearded old man, quickly turned around and clung tightly to his uncle.

Cooper proudly boasted, "Hey, my nephew!"

Cooper, carrying his nephew, appeared before his professors, proudly announcing his need to take a day off to spend time with his little nephew.

The teachers, upon seeing Henry, had no resistance and even joked with Cooper that they needed to hug the adorable baby in his arms before approving his leave.

Cooper shamelessly handed his nephew over to the teachers.

The crying resumed.

Mia woke up, draped over her husband's chest, one leg casually thrown over his. "Honey, what time is it?" She was too sleepy to open her eyes, barely wanting to speak, her words barely coherent. Andre, holding his barely clothed Mia, pinched the corner of his eye, unable to discern the time in the dim room.

He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and checked, "It's 8:30."

Mia closed her eyes, barely awake but still concerned about her son. She lazily tapped her husband's chest, instructing, "Cooper has classes, and our son should be waking up. You go, I really don't want to move, too tired."

Andre heard his wife's voice, soft and gentle as a kitten's purr, striking straight to his heart. Without uttering a word, his hand reached out under the covers, grasping the slender leg that lay across him. Slowly turning to his side, he gently laid his wife down. "I'll go check." Upon reaching his brother-in-law's bedroom, he pushed open the door. "Cooper, are you..."
