The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 70 Book 2 Chapter 2

Celeste shuffled out of Xavier’s arms, scooting to the very edge of the bed… Zillon would be angry if someone else touched her, he’d ignore her, he’d say bad things, he’d—

What was she thinking?

Zillon couldn’t get angry at her anymore, Zillon wasn’t here, Zillon wasn’t her mate anymore…then why only the thought of him would serve as a restriction to her?

Everytime Xavier got close, she’d push him away in fear of making Zillon angry again…she was so foolish, she had someone who loved her so much and yet she couldn’t be with him because of someone in her past…

Stupid…stupid…stupid…

Huffing agrily at herself, she blinked in order to hold back her tears…no matter how hard she tried, Zillon was on her mind 24-7.

The way he touched her before now wasn’t a stranger her mind, the way he kissed, made love to her was something she could never forget…

His smiles, his laughs, his words of love lived in her thoughts…everything she thought of brought her right back to Zillon.

If she saw an egg, she’d remember that time when Zillon had tried making breakfast…

If she saw that black dress, then she’d remember how Zillon had looked at her in awe before telling her to take it off…

And if she heard the word beast, she’d remember that he was her beast…her s*x beast…

Celeste wiped roughly at her cheeks not wanting to cry anymore, she thought she over this, she thought she had stopped crying, she though…

More tears glided down her cheeks and she was surprised when instead of her hand, Xavier’s swiped away some of the salty water. “You’re crying again…”

Celeste hiccupped, her eyes drifting up to meet his. “I-I’m sorry…did I wake y-you?”

“I knew you weren’t ready for this, my words must’ve sounded forceful for you. I’ll leave as soon as you stop crying.”

Celeste shook her head, scooting closer to rest her head against his chest. “No…I’m sorry I…”

“Look my little fighter, don’t force yourself…you’ll be okay soon and even if I have to do it from afar, I’ll help you through it.”

“B-But I want you close…”

“More than you want Zillon?”

Celeste froze, her fingers gripping at the sheets. “I don…I don’t…no.”

“See? You’re not ready yet. As soon as you are you’ll stop hurting yourself and stop hurting me too.”

“I-I’m sorry…”

“It’s okay sweets, I’ll wait for you however long it takes, so stop crying…fighters don’t cry, they fight…right?”

Celeste nodded, fisting her hands and lightly banging them against Xavier’s stomach. “They fight even when they replace it hard to…”

“Good, but I swear to god if you hit me again, I’m pinning you to this bed.”

Celeste raised her head, looking up at him with nothing but innocence on her face as she punched him again…

Xavier chuckled. “You’re a pretty little devil, you know that?”

Celeste smiled at him. “I guess I am…”

“Aren’t you sleepy though?” He knitted his eyebrows. “Have you slept at all since we’ve been laying on the bed?”

Celeste nodded. “I slept for a while then woke up again.”

“And now you’re going to be going back to sleep, little fighters needs rest too, you know.”

“No, fighters never rest.”

“You’ll be an exception though, go back to sleep.”

“But I don—”

“Celeste…” Xavier scolded.

Celeste huffed, once again hiding her face in his chest. “Okay, this fighter will sleep, but only because she was forced.”

Xavier chuckled. “Shut up and sleep…”

When Celeste woke up again in the morning, Xavier wasn’t beside her. His side of the bed was empty and cold which meant he probably left right after he put her to sleep.

He probably wanted her to sleep comfortably, he probably thought that he was the problem…

Sighing, she rolled out of bed, and brought her toothbrush along with some clothes with her as she went to public bathroom that was here. The place wasn’t yet fully developed, so nobody except Xavier had their own bathroom, he told her she could use it, but being treated specially would probably make the other rogues or as Xavior called them ‘his pack’ jealous.

So she chose to use the public one instead. It was big though, it had like ten bathroom slots and the shower area had even more…

She’d brush her teeth and shower then go seek out Xavier…

Celeste pushed the door open and stepped inside. She bowed in greeting to the other wolves inside, then started brushing her teeth in front of one of the mirrors.

When she was done, she showered and got dressed, then went on her hunt for Xavier.

She checked his hut, but he wasn’t there, she checked the training grounds, but he wasn’t there either and eventually she had to resort to asking one of his close friends if they saw him.

“He said he was going on a hunt not too long ago. He also said if you woke up looking for him, I should send you back to sleep.”

Celeste glared at Gabriel. “Xavier must’ve gone mad, has he ever seen me sleeping when the sun is out?”

“Nope and that’s why my advice to you is to not listen to him.”

“Like I was going to, I’m a fighter…” She grinned. “I listened to no one…”

“Then why did you listen when I told you to go back to sleep last night?”

Celeste spun on her heels, eyes landing on Xavier who stood with his hand in his pockets and a sky look on his face. “Well that was because… because…because it was in the middle of the night, who doesn’t sleep at night?”

“Fighters…”

“Shut up, even fighters sleep when night comes.”

“Nope, that’s when they hunt their prey…”

Celeste folded her arms across her chest. “Well I’m a different kind of fighter, I hunt in the day and sleep at night.”

“Anything you say Celeste.” He pulled his hand from his pocket, gesturing to her. “Come here, I heard you’ve been looking for me.”

“I was, but you came too late, I no longer request your company.”

“Celeste come here.”

“No, a fighter neve—”

“A fighter this, a fighter that…just wait until I catch you.”

He sprinted off towards her and Celeste ran in aid of getting away…she was a fighter, if she let Xavier catch her, then she wouldn’t be able to call herself that anymore.

She ran towards her room, but before she could open up the door, Xavier’s arm was around her waist. “And what do you know? The real fighter has caught it’s prey.”

Celeste g*****d, cheeks puffy. “Alright, you won this time, but tomorrow, you won’t stand a chance.”

“You say that every morning, Celeste.”

“And one morning you’ll be surprised when I don’t have to say it again.”

A/N// And meet Celeste’s new life,

Doesn’t she seem happier here?

She laughs a lot even though she cried too…she also missed Zillon but she seem to like Xavier’s company too….
