The Alpha's Unwanted Mate -
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 88 Book 2 Chapter 20
“You’ll regret this Xavier.”
“I don’t see a real reason to…this is all I’ve wanted since the day I left, why would I regret an accomplishment?”
“Because we’re brothers, how can you do this to a brother? I was older Xavier, the alpha tilte was automatically passed down to me because of that.”
“And that didn’t stop me from wanting it…”
“But it’s not my fault you couldn’t have it. If you wanted it so much, can you blame me for wanting it too? We both were alpha’s Xavier, I understand how damaged your pride must be, but don’t stoop so low, you’re hurting her… I’m not the only one who’ll feel pain in the end, she’ll be in pain too.”
Xavier shrugged, folding his legs. “Wouldn’t that make me feel even better?”
All the hope that was splattered in Zillon’s eyes evaporated and a look of disgust took it’s place. He was done trying to convince Xavier now, he was too stubborn and determined. “Okay, I guess it doesn’t make sense I try…we were brothers, but now I’ll pretend as though you’re a f*cking stranger.”
He rose to his feet, ignoring the now dull ache in his chest as he marched his way out of the dungeon. He wanted to reconcile with his brother, there were moments in the past where he wished they’d meet…
But now that they have, he wasn’t at all happy about it.
And Celeste she was completely fooled and…and pregnant?
Pregnant with his pups?
He wasn’t even sure if Xavier was telling the truth or not, but regardless of the situation, pride ran like b***d through his veins. That fact gave him all the more reason to win her over, if she really was carrying his child, then he had no other option but to get her to understand that she’s his…that Xavier should be out of the picture…that what Liam told her was really true.
But not now, he needed to get his feelings sorted out….he needed to breathe, to calm down…for if not, he’d only go up to her room and take all his problems out on her.
No matter how hard he tried, that trait refused to leave him alone, everytime something happened the person in front of him at the time was the one who’d face his rage…
He’d work on it though, Celeste hated that about him, she hated it when he got angry at her because of minor issues, she’d get scared when he yelled and she’d cry when he ignored her. She was so precious, so delicate, more so now that she’s supposedly pregnant.
Walking into the forest, he headed over to his safe haven, that cave where he had first talked to Celeste…that timid little omega saw an alpha angrily venting and spoke to him…how brave…
And right now, he wished she was brave enough to accept the truth, because he’d tell it to her.

Celeste sat alongside Liam and Fredd on the couch, glaring at the carpet on the floor. If she didn’t hate Liam before, she hated him now, he was behaving so unlike himself, he wasn’t like this before, sure he was sarcastic and disgustingly annoying, but that was honestly better than him being angry.
“Can I go to my room?”
He looked from the Television and over to her. “Absolutely not.”
“Why?”
“Because I want to talk to you.”
“We’ve talked enough in the dungeon, I honestly don’t want to hear anymore.”
He clenched his jaw, then shifted on his seat. “Regardless of that, I’m still going to speak. That night it wasn’t Zillo—”
“Did Zillon give you permission to talk about this with her?”
Liam shook his head at Fredd. “No, but he’s being stupid, he wants to face everything by himself…I’m trying to help him.”
“And you are, but Zillon is the one who should explain, he’ll do it soon…he’s already backed up against the wall.” Fredd turned to Celeste, smiling sympathetically at her. “And please at least listen to what he has to say when the time comes. He’s innocent, but I doubt you’d believe it.”
Celeste turned away, her cheeks puffing. “So are you too saying that Xavier is the culprit, that he’s using me? If so, then you are just as bad as them.”
“Truths like this are always hard to believe.”
“No, it’s only hard to believe because it’s a lie.” Celeste eased out of her seat and looked towards the stairs, “I’m going to my room.”
“Wait, I made breakfast in the kitchen.”
“I don’t want it.”
“Celeste you haven’t eaten since you came here last night.”
“And unsurprisingly, I’m not hungry.”
She walked towards the stairs, not once looking back as she climbed them one by one. Everybody wanted to blame Xavier and she didn’t like it.
It was probably because he was a rogue, but they should realize that not all rogues are the same. Instead of walking alone, Xavier chose to unite. He brought the rogues together and build them a home.
He was so genuine that sometimes Celeste would feel as though she didn’t deserve him. Nobody else had a mindset like him, he was determined, but he knew when he wasn’t suppose to be, he was prideful, but everyday he stashed away his pride for her.
His smile!
His laughs!
Everything about him completed her and she’d stop at nothing until she was once again buried in his arms.
