The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 103

Zander’s brows furrowed as he listened intently to Alpha Harry, trying to think what this all could mean.

“So, you are telling me, she is not a wolf?” Zander qualified with him.

“What I am saying, is, that nobody has ever seen her shift. Her ex mate, never saw her shift, their wolves never connected as mates in that form, and although he had the ‘sparks’ at first, and his wolf did react to her scent, that the appearance of the mate bond became less over time, and his wolf grew more agitated around her. I did some investigation, and not a single pack member can recall a time when they witnessed her shift or saw her wolf. However, this could have been because we live surrounded by humans, but I still replace it more than a little odd.” Harry continued to explain.

Zander nodded his head, as he thought back to Liane, wondering if anyone had witnessed her shift, and if not, what this could all mean.

“The other information I got was from another pack member, who is visiting family at the moment, else I would have brought them here to tell you personally what they told me.” Harry began.

“Kitty is one of our single wolves, but she has a sister, who is mated to someone in the Berwick pack. When Kitty asked her sister if she knew of Liane, she informed her not really, just that the girl had arrived around four months prior to meeting Derek, and moving here, but Kitty’s sister told her that she does not know the circumstances around why Liane arrived at the pack, only that there were a few meetings with the Alpha and Luna at the time, and that Liane kept herself to herself, she also said she cannot remember a time when Liane shifted.”

This new information was interesting, and Zander needed to replace out if Delphine and Issac ever saw the girl shift, after all she had lived with them for a while at his pack.

“Thank you, Harry, we are keeping an eye on her, and have noticed some odd behaviour. I am loathed to start a full questioning of the girl until after New year, and Chloe and I’s wedding, after all, her Luna ceremony was upsetting after replaceing out one of our pack members, who she had developed a close relationship with was a traitor, I do not want our wedding to be marred for her as well.”

Zander let out a frustrated sigh, all he wanted was for his mate to have one special day without all of this other stuff affecting her enjoyment of it.

“Yes, congratulations, and I am sorry we are unable to accept the invitation, as we have pack traditions on new year’s day.” Harry smiled apologetically.

“Oh, we both understand, a few Packs do things on New Year’s Day, so it will be just our pack and our sister packs in attendance.” Zander smiled reassuringly.

He did not want to state that they had only sent out the invitations to the allies out of politeness, and they had specifically chosen that date, knowing most packs would have to politely decline, so the day could be about them and not forging alliances, or getting involved with the politics that was happening all around them.

“On the other matter you told me about, if you do manage to rescue some of the omegas from Jorvick, we are more than happy to house some here, if that will help you.” Harry smiled warmly.

“Thank you Alpha, we have plenty of space at the moment, but I get the distinct feeling my mate will be using our campaigning visits to try and rescue omegas from every pack who mistreats them, so I may take you up on that offer. I know Alpha Liam at Northumberland has offered to welcome them as well, also Alpha’s Hamish and Douglas have said if they want to join their pack, they are welcome. It is good that we have a lot of options.” Zander smiled.

“Well, anything to help.” Harry gave another smile, as they walked out of his office and back into the living room.

Chloe and the young warriors all helped Mary clean up after the amazing food, even though she was tyring to insist she do it all herself. Zander had kept her abreast of the Liane situation via mind link whilst in the meeting with Harry, and her brain was working overdrive about what this all meant regarding Liane.

“Well, I think we should head off again, thank you both so much for your hospitality.” Chloe smiled at Mary,

“Aye pet, safe travels.” Mary grinned at her.

Then reached into the pocket of her pinafore that was over her dress, proceeding to give each of the young warriors a had full of sweats as they all thanked her and headed back to the bus.

The swirling mist on the North Yorkshire Moors, began to lift, clearing the fog as Zander drove the bus towards the Jorvick pack lands.

“Okay, we are about a mile or so from the border, you all understand, that if asked you are here only as a school trip for your politics lessons.”

Zander shouted up the bus at the young warriors, who, unlike yesterday were completely focused on what was about to transpire, getting themselves in the mental state, preparing to fight, if need be. Although they were all pumped up, none of them were afraid, after all they had seen and trained with Chloe at School, plus their Alpha was one of the strongest fighters around, nobody could come close to his skill and strength, except Alpha Josh, but even then, he was no match for Zander. Even though there was only five of them, if push came to shove, with their Alpha and Luna, they knew the odds would remain in their favour.

“Drake, you remain in the bus, until we call for you, then all you will need to do is give your testimony, to the omegas if we get you permission to go to the kitchens. If not remain in the bus I do not want you around if the s**t hits the fan. Caroline would never forgive me.” Zander added.

“Yes Alpha.” The whole bus agreed in unison.

“Okay, we are at the border, game on.” Chloe stated to the bus.

As they pulled up to the gates, they were waved through, but it was unmistakable that they were far from welcome. As Zander drove the bus down the narrow road, that lead to the Jorvick pack house, every few meters a warrior stood, an obvious attempt to intimidate, and was a show of strength. The atmosphere felt heavy around the pack, and in the bus, everyone on high alert.

“Warriors, remain in the bus, until we gain permission for you to attend the meeting, if we do not gain that permission, and we need you, we will mindlink you.” Zander reminded the young wolves.

Drake’s omega wolf, began to whimper and cower inside him, terrified at the threat. Chloe reached out her hand and took hold of Drakes, giving it a slight squeeze of reassurance, in a bid to give the omega some strength.

As Chloe touched Drake, he felt peace descend over him like a warm blanket on a cold night, and he gave her a small smile in way of gratitude.

Zander pulled up outside the Pack house and turned to Drake.

“Remember, stay in here until I introduce you, and ask if you can gather refreshments for our journey home. If permission is granted, you can go talk to the Omegas, if not remain in the bus, if anything happens either let out a growl, or honk the horn three times.” Zander smiled at him.

Drake was not an official member of his pack, so, he could not mind link the new wolf. With hindsight, he should have done a pack inclusion ceremony before embarking on this journey, and he was annoyed with himself for being so negligent regarding this.

“We will lock the bus, from the outside, but you will be able to get out by pressing the emergency door release button, if you have any problems or issues, do not face them on your own, honk the horn three times and we will get to you. If you face any issues talking to the Omega’s and you feel in danger, make your excuses and get to the bus, then honk.” Chloe instructed Drake who blinked rapidly and nodded.

Zander opened the bus doors, as he climbed out, and helped Chloe down the steps, then hand in hand they walked towards Alpha Tristan, Luna Pia and their Beta Nelson.

“Alpha Zander, I see you have brought other pack members.” Alpha Tristan growled out.

“Alpha Tristan, might I introduce my mate Luna Princess Chloe.” Zander stated ignoring his accusation and sticking with the correct protocol.

Tristan ignored the protocol and continued to glare at Zander and the bus.

“Alpha, I have brought some of our youngsters from the Academy who are majoring in politics, and thought this meeting would be a great experience for them to witness how two opposing opinions can meet and talk, without the need for violence. They can of course stay in the bus, if you are afraid of the young ones, that is no problem.” Zander stated with a small bow of his head.

Tristan looked at this Alpha, his reputation preceded him, everyone knew he was the strongest wolf in the United Kingdom. Tristan bristled slightly, he was insinuating that he, Alpha Tristan of the Jorvick pack could be afraid of some young pups. Although he did not trust the massive Alpha who stood with his weirdly dressed purple haired mate in front of him, he could not let his pack members think he was afraid of a few pups. After all, what could a few pups do in comparison to his warriors? Feeling assured that the young ones would be no match to his far superior warriors, Tristan nodded his head at his beta, then looked at Zander.

“Of course, they may observe how I tell their Alpha that his opinion’s are incorrect, maybe they will learn something of what it is like to be a true werewolf.” Tristan sneered.

“What a f*****g arse hole, seriously Chloe, can I not just rip his head off now.” Sheba growled to Chloe.

“No Sheba, we have to play nice, as tempting as it is.” Chloe reprimanded her wolf.

“Spoil sport!” Sheba pouted.

Then the wolf proceeded to project images of Alpha Tristan’s head rolling around the ground and the teenagers in the bus playing football with it, into Chloe’s mind.

“Stop it, or I will block you, I cannot laugh, this is a serious situation.” Chloe argued with her wolf, as she resisted the urge to giggle at the thought of the Alpha’s head being used as a football.

“You know it is a good idea though.” Sheba continued.

Chloe decided to ignore her wolf, and offered a smile at Luna Pia, then extended her hand out to her.

“Luna Pia, a pleasure to meet you.” Chloe stated, attempting to look like her smile was genuine, but was unsure if she managed to pull it off, given her wolf was prickling about the woman before her. Chloe’s gift of discernment indicating this woman was another uptight Ursula.

Luna Pia took hold of Chloe’s hand and gave it a small quick shake before dropping it like she had touched hot coals. Her disgusted eyes looked her up and down, not believing what she was seeing. This Luna, the supposed princess, had turned up to this meeting, wearing ripped fishnet stockings, a black net skirt covered with safety pins, and a purple mesh top, over a black vest top, that had rips in the torso area, and a pair of black doc martin boots spray painted on the toe caps with purple and silver paint.

Chloe smirked at the Luna, it was obvious the conservative dressed woman in her bland grey pant suit and white shirt underneath, her blond hair in a high bun, was judging her awesome outfit, she was not the first, and would not be the last, so her opinion on Chloe’s fashion sense was like water off a duck’s back.

Zander mind linked the young warriors, who picked up their note pads and pens, as part of their cover story, and alighted the bus, standing behind their Alpha and Luna.

“Luna Pia, could our omega go to the kitchens, and refill our water bottles and take some supplies for our long journey home.” Chloe asked, she had been practising hard with her Princess voice, so that it would not be overpowering like an order, just a suggestion, that the other wolf would not be able to refuse. She concentrated very hard, in getting the sound and pitch just right, hoping it was enough to work, and not too much that those around would recognise a royal command.

“Yes of course, have it go around the back and enter there.” Pia’s l*p raised on one side, as if the thought of having a omega in her presence was akin to somebody arriving with a case of the black plague.

“It? did she just call Drake and IT! f*****g b***h, I have changed my mind, her head is the one to come off and roll around the field being kicked about.” Sheba growled.

Chloe sighed internally, this was going to be a massive challenge, if Sheba would not calm herself down.

Chloe turned around slightly and gave a quick nod at Drake in the bus, and a small smile to reassure him that they would keep him safe.

“Well, I suppose you should come in.” Tristan offered.

As Zander and Chloe walked together, still hand in hand, as prepared for the confirmation regarding the differences of opinion that was about to ensue.
