Caliana's

POV

The next day, I only saw the Alpha during dinner. I smiled to myself when I remembered last night.

We were halfway through dinner when a servant announced that a captain from the border was here t "Sir, there was a fight at the border with the Black Stone Pack," he reported. "Situation?"

"Two of our warriors are badly injured and currently receiving treatment and three of theirs are dead, "Who started the fight?" Asked the Alpha, furious.

"It was the Black Stone Pack, they trespassed and while chasing them, more of them came out of now "Damn f*****g Henderson, he never learns!" Roared my mate.

"Henderson?" I stuttered, my eyes bulging. Is it the Henderson I know? The Alpha who follows me arou "Did a classified general come to claim the bodies?" Marcos asked. "Not yet sir,"

"We are not giving them back, we'll make a spectacle of it so that they should think twice before attac "Do to them as you please,"

"We'll cut their heads and put them spikes like the old days, then raise them for all to see," Marcus su "Or we can just feed their bodies to my lion and send them a video," Marcos said and Garret agreed w I looked at them horrified before my eyes trailed to the logical brother, Jamal, but he didn't care abou

"No, you won't do any of those vile things!" I shouted, now getting their attention.

"Alpha, how can you allow your men to disdain dead soldiers that way?" I said.

"Why? They attacked us. This can be ground for war if our injured warriors die," Marcus said.

"You killed three of them,"

the Alpha and a tall intimidating man walked into the dining room. Love was taken away by the servants before the captain spoke.

hers ran away,"

nd attacked our patrol men, we had to call reinforcement as they were outnumbering us,"

o one seemed to hear me thank goodness.

s next time," Marcus said, looking at his elder brother for approval. The Alpha just sighed

d with a malicious grin on his lips. He was the most violent from what I noticed. od of his head, he was enthusiastic about watching.

s mind wasn't here with us.

"In self-defense, they attacked first," Garret shrugged and at that moment, I was reminded that he had the blood of a Chasia running in his veins.

"I am Luna and I have a say in how some situations are handled, don't I?" I growled. It was silent for a while and I knew I have a legal duty to have a say in matters as well. "Lately you've been having a lot to say, Luna, why don't you let us handle this," Alpha Edward's tone indicated he was displeased by my interest in this issue. "She's right. Her office has power too," I was grateful to Jamal and a smile spread on my lips, looking at the angry Alpha.

"You're no fun," Garret hissed and ate his steak.

"Well I'm Alpha and if I allow my men to do as they please, they will. If you have something official to say, talk to my secretary and arrange a meeting,"

I took in a deep breath and said in a gentler tone.

"We are celebrating the festivities in a month and I was just thinking that this will be a sign of beneficence. People will applaud you if you act maturely about the matter,"

"We didn't get this far by being applauded nor did we get our fierce reputation by being nice," he retorted.

"I know but since the festivities are approaching and non of our people are dead, you can pardon this one thing and ask them to write an apology letter, and make sure those men that attacked are demoted and punished," I advised, my mate's resolve was beginning to weaken, after all, who doesn't want people's praise in this world we live in? Alpha's will look up to him and will even open doors to more alliances.

"Not only will many Alphas and people condemn the Black stone for the crude behavior but they shall owe you a favor and what's better than to collect it when you need it," I added before leaving the room. The Alpha will choose what to do but I planted reason in his head and I was proud that it might not be a war.

The next day I woke up to the news that the Black stone delegates were here in the pack, having a meeting with the Alpha at the headquarters. I smiled knowing that I was successful and by the next day, it's all the pack could talk about, how well my husband handled the situation with the Black Stone Pack. Many thought he would retaliate in the worst way possible since it's them who invaded our territory to cause trouble without a valid reason.

We were all in the foyer on a Sunday evening, Love was practicing the piano with Marcus and the rest were enjoying their drinks when Garret brought up the recent matter.

"Edward, you do have a full package of a Luna, what she said was right, all I read in the newspaper are positive things about you,"

"I don't need anyone saying good things about me," He said in a monotone but I knew he was proud.

"Then why aren't we marching down there to kill the bastards,"

"As Luna said, the festivities of being thankful are almost here and I don't want to start it off with bloodshed, mother loved these holidays," He sighed.

"Indeed, mother would come back from the dead just to punish us if we ruin the festivities," Added Jamal with a smile. I was smiling as they talked about their mother, she was really into the extravaganzas.

'Lena, what did the former Luna do during the thanksgiving holidays?' I asked via mind-link, it was silent for a while on her end, she was in turmoil.

'Which one? My lady?' She asked, I swallowed, remembering there were two other Luna before me.

'The Alpha's mother,'

'Oh so much!'

'Make a list, we are doing that,' I said and I could tell she was happy.
