chapter 20 Stay Away from Me

Luca got to Attica Community College rather early and sat on thebench near the front gate looking for Luna. As he sat waiting, he couldnot help but remember the events of that night. He remembered howwarm and love struck he was at the sight of her. She warmed his heartwith her captivating gaze. She hardened his manhood with hercloseness. He was mesmerized by her beauty and poise.

It was clear that he didn’t have his wits about him. He had let his guarddown hoping to let her in and got himself into trouble. It had been twoweeks since the events at his house and he had not seen Luna atschool. He kept waiting every morning in the same spot hoping toapologize and maybe if she would give him a chance explain what hadhappened. He was sure that she was not human as no human couldoutrun him.

He knew that she may have not known what she was because why elsewould she run away from him. If she was privy to the supernaturalrealm she would know when to sense danger and there was no dangeras he would not have hurt her. He knew that she ran when he growledat Soccorah to stop her from stunning Luna. He'd made the situationworse.

He just wanted a chance to make things right. He wanted to explainand maybe he would get a chance to get to know her. He had spent hisnights dreaming about her. He'd have erotic dreams every night sincethat night when he first laid eyes on her. She didn't know it but theyalready have a relationship in his dreams. He wanted to make it areality.

He was used to having females fall at his feet but for some reason thisone could resist him and that intrigued him. He wanted her. He neededher and if it's the last thing he did he would have her. Luna was goingto he his. He loved a challenge and this was one hell of a challenge.First, he needed to replace her to make things right.

He had been waiting but once again Luna did not come. He had notcaught her scent, nor had he gotten the faintest glimpse of her. Wasshe avoiding him? If she were, he couldn't really blame her. He hadgone over to her house but her adopted parents said that she was outof town for a while. He didn't push as he didn't want to seem toointerested.

He wondered whether she was still out of town. He's been askingSoccorah about her but she wasn't any luckier. Neither of them hadseen or heard from Luna since the catastrophe at the house. Lucawalked toward the school when a cool breeze brushed his skin. Hecaught a familiar scent . With a brisk turn he saw Lucian the Gymteacher getting out of his car and as he headed to the school Luna gotout of the passenger seat and headed toward the school.

His heart started to pound in his chest. He felt weak. What was shedoing with that man? Why was he dropping her off at school? Werethey together? He could be her father. Luca sniffed again and caught aLycans scent emanating from Lucian. If he were Lycan then agewouldn't matter. Lycans choose mates of any age. Luca felt jealous. Hewas hurt. Why would his luck be so terrible? If he wanted her, he wouldhave to kill Lucian. But then again if she were already marked by him itwouldn't matter. She would not reciprocate his feelings.

Still, he stared at her as she approached. He smiled to himself. Lucianhad entered the building and Luna was still outside. She was sobeautiful. His eyes scrutinized her curves her ass and her breasts as shewalked past him. He ran up to her and grabbed hold of her arm. “Luna,wait up” he said. She turned around and roughly shook her arm looseand said to him; “Don’t you dare lay a hand on me. If you continue topush me you will regret it. I'm not the scared girl whom you and yourfamily tried to terrorize that night. Stay the fuck away from me.” Withthat warning Luna walked off.

Luca was in shock as he had never in his life been spoked too in thatmanner let alone from a female. He was a Lycan. Women literally foughteach other to be near him. What was it about Luna that made herimmune to his charm? His attraction was fatal. But she was somehowable to resist him. He was hurt and intrigued at the same time. Whatthe hell is she? He thought to himself as he walked over to his class.“She wants me to stay away from her, fine but I'm not letting this end.She will be mine. I will make her first forgive me then love me.” Lucawhispered to himself. He was on his way to class when he bumped intoSoccorah. He warned her that Luna was back and that she was mad atthem. She heeded his warning and went to her Chemistry class whichshe knew that she would meet up with Luna

Soccorah walked up to her seat and looked at Luna who definitely wasnot the same Luna from the last two weeks. This Luna was more poised,confident, hell she was intimidating. When Luna looked at her it madeher so nervous that her eyes uncontrollably changed color. That was sodangerous; thank Hecate no one saw it. Soccorah normally had suchcontrol of her powers. How could Luna make her so nervous as to losecontrol like that.

Luna sat in class and never shot Soccorah a look. There was a groupactivity and Luna literally chose to work with one of the popular humangirls whom she had never given the time of day. That hurt her so muchas Luna had been a true friend. She was not unbearable like the othersthat had tried to befriend her for what she could do for them. She adbeen such an idiot that she'd managed to lose her one true friend.After class she'd hoped to get a word with Luna to explain what hadhappened but instead Luna left the class early and never came back.She'd ran out after her but couldn't even catch her scent.

She walked hopelessly toward her car to wait for Luca. While waitingshe played pack the events which brought about her predicament overand over in her head.

Luca finally approached and got in the car when they saw Luna leavingthe school with coach Lucian who was holding her books. Luca wasinfuriated by this and all kinds of dirty thoughts started to invade hismind. He was so angry at that sight. “What's up with them anyway?What's his relationship with her? Do You know anything?” he asked.“Why would I know anything. She hasn't said a word to me since sheran out of Your house. My only friend and all I get from her is coldnessand hate. The thought of us repulses her.” Soccorah shot back as sheturned on the ignition and drove slowly out the driveway nervouslylooking at Luna hoping that she would at Least shoot her a smile butwhen she got nothing she sped away.
