chapter 24 The Full Moon's Revelation

That night Luna had gotten home all doe eyed. It was clear. She was inlove. She was startled by her uncle who told her that he had to stay outtonight as he had some stuff to take care of as the moon was full. Hedidn’t explain it to her and left. Luna thought nothing of it as she knewthat her uncle had his moods. She went up to her room to reminisce onthe events of the day.

She lay down on her bed twirling her hair round her fingers thinking ofthe way that Luca had stared at her. She felt her blood rush just by thethought of him. Luna didn’t know why she was having those feelings.She'd had crushes on boys in the past but never to this extent. It was sobad that she hurt at the thought of him not being available. Shewondered if he was even the slightest bit interested in her.

Maybe she should have asked whether he had a girlfriend but shedidn’t want to come off as needy or desperate. She didn't want himthinking that she was not worth being pursued. But he was so beautiful.So damn perfect. As Luna lay down staring at the night sky, she startedto feel woozy. The moon had started to rise and she drifted off to sleepdreaming of none other than Luca.

She suddenly awoke and found herself in her wolf form at the top ofthe mountain near the creek. Having absolutely no recollection of howshe got there she got up and howled at the moon as if questioningwhat was going on with her. She did how ever make use of this shift. Helast shift had been much less painful but this one if she were in fact notdreaming was seamless. She'd felt nothing. Trying to be sure she triedto switch back. Before you knew it Luna had in a snap transformed backto her human form. She looked down at her hands and feet as shestood naked at the top of the mountain overlooking Attica.

Luna suddenly felt the urge to shift again and she did. The huge whitewolf with blue eyes emerged only with this transformation she senseddanger and took a stance of authority at the top of the mountain. Lunalooked behind her as he heard chanting toward the bottom of themountain and ran quickly in the direction of the chanting. The chantingseemed to be bothering Luna as she felt woozy while running. Itseemed to slow her down.

“What the hell was happening to her?” she thought to herself. She wasin her room looking up at the moon while thinking of her beautiful Lucaand the next thing she knew she was at the top of the mountain in herwolf form. Now she felt threatened and was hearing chanting in thedistance and was running toward it not feeling well at all

If this chanting was affecting her this much maybe she shouldn't followit. But no, her instincts were being teased. The great white wolf shookher head as she tried to shake of this trance while running toward thechanting. She started to smell something else, another scent. this wasnot threatening but was actually a familiar one. It managed to distracther from the chanting. She came to a halt and followed the scent.

She walked cautiously toward the middle of the mountain and came toa clearing where there grew a huge tree with white leaves and beautifulblue flowers. Emerging from this tree she saw a fruit in the middlewhich started to fall and there out of nowhere Luca appeared andcaught the fruit. Before her very eyes, the fruit transformed into aperson. This person was her but how could it be if she was standingright there looking at what was unfolding right in front of her.

Yup it was official she was crazy. She thought that she was so infatuatedwith Luca that it had driven her insane. She looked at the girl who washer being hugged by Luca and when the two held on to each otherthey glowed. The full moon stood above them and their eyes glowed.They looked like a god and goddess. Luna felt that she needed answersto what she had just witnessed and started to walk into the clearing.The girl walked up to Luna's wolf smiled at her and disappeared intoher as luca walked off into the other direction. With that Luna foundherself awake on her porch in her wolf form with Lucian standing overher asking her to change. Startled Luna shifted into her human form.Lucian threw a towel over her as he was completely naked

“Hey, what happened? It's almost dawn and you're just lying there inplain sight. Do you even know what would happen if a jogger were topass by and see you? Luna how would we explain this? I didn’t evenhear u shift.” He told her. This is getting serious. We're gonna have totake you back to the pack where you could shift more easily withoutthreat. This is new to you and we need to keep you and our secret safe.I can get you transferred to a college at a suitable pack. Don't worryyou will still get to see your friends. I won't rob you of that.”

Luna didn't like the idea of going away from Attica as this is where Lucawas. She wanted to be near him. If she went to another school, howwould she even stand a chance? Some other girl would definitelysnatch him. Luna told Lucian of what happened in her dream and theevents leading up to her being found on the porch. Lucian was stunnedand went deep into concentration. He put Luna to bed and went to hisroom and locked the door.

He'd realized that what Luna had explained to him was exactly thesame as what his mother had told him. She'd had the exact samedream. Could his little Luna be a reincarnation of the goddess?

The only difference would be that she may have been reborn with hermate. She would have to replace him and only then could this old fablefrom the pack be confirmed. Lucian had to bring this to the attention ofthe tribe's elder to confirm. If his suspicions were true then he wouldhave to help her replace her mate to correct the mistakes done in the past.This full moon had indeed brought abought revelations or blessings.She might even be able to track the witch that killed her family. Luciansmiled to himself.
