Chapter 26 The Joining Of The Packs

Lucian realized that Janet's handling of Luna's migration and hermoving in with him was not a good thing. Lucian decided that it wastime to leave after the talks were officially concluded between Crescentmoon and full moon packs. They set off to their new home. Luna wasexcited to go to an all-wolf school where she wouldn't have to worryabout holding back to not be freak. There she was going to be free tobe her true self.

They'd driven for what seemed to be hours and came upon an oldabandoned hut in a dense forest. Lucian entered the hut and when heemerged a clearing opened next to the hut and as they drove in theclearing closed behind them. “Wow” Luna gasped. “Way to keep asecret hidden. I hope they have Wi-Fi. She started to think how she wasgoing to communicate with Soccorah if there was no Wi-Fi

She looked out the window of the truck and saw the most beautifultown that she ever saw. The houses were beautiful and modern withperfect driveways and garages, the stores were all made of glass andthe town seemed to continue up a very steep hill. At the top of the hillwas a huge house that was made of glass and glittered in the sun like ajewel. The top of the hill was just a dense forest. Luna was so takenaback that she couldn't speak. Her jaw dropped to see the females ofthis pack. Her own pack was very well off and the houses were beautifuland all but this was something out of a fairytale.

As the truck got to the top of the hill, emerging out of one of thehouses near the palacelike building was the Alpha of her newfoundpack and his family. He stood with a huge beautiful man. This man wasso handsome and strong that she felt like she had to bow down in hispresence but did not. His eyes were as blue as Luca's and he was builtjust like him. He reminded her of Luca only older. A beautiful blondestood near him, she seemed to be his Luna. They came to welcomethem to the new pack. Lucian introduced his niece and followed themto the house that had been prepared for them. They came upon abeautiful mansion on the right side of the palacelike mansion and itwas for them. Luna gasped as she realized that this would be their newhome.

The truck driver started to unpack the boxes with their belongings.Luna took her leave and went to explore the house. She wished thatSoccorah was here with her. She started upstairs and went to pick abedroom. She moved from room to room until she came to a bedroomwhich was painted in a light grey with a large French glass door leadingto a verandah overlooking the palace. “This is perfect.” she thought toherself. The bed was a queen and there were beautiful drapes on thedoor and she had a huge bathroom with a tub and a walk-in closet.Luna jumped up and down like a child who had too much candy andcame to a halt and composed herself when her uncle walked in andsaid “Well I'm so glad you like it.”

“I love it. But this looks so expensive. Can we afford it?” She asked.Lucian smiled as he hugged his niece and explained that it was whatwas due to them as he took on his new role as a beta of the new tribe.The Lycan Prince was alpha and the alpha of his old pack was beta, sowas he who should have been alpha of the old pack due to his lineageand the other betas remained Betas. The pack needed warriors andwould have to continually train on a daily basis.” Luna walked down theglass staircase and got to unpacking. They each saw their things werebrought up to their rooms and started to make it their own. Lunalooked at her new room and shrieked. He closets was a bit emptythough. She never had so much space before. Now she would need toget more stuff to fill it up. This would require friends to help her withthe shopping and then she remembered Soccorah and wished that shecould be here to help her with all of this. She would love this place.Luna went downstairs that night for supper and found that it wasalready prepared. Apparently the Lycan prince had sent a chef over tocook for them as a welcome gift. That night Luna ate like she'd nevereaten before. The food was so good. Lucian started to tell her whatwould be expected of her as a descendant of his mother.

“Now that we are here and I have taken up this responsibility you willhave to train harder to be better than the women of this pack. You willhave to shine brighter than the Moon on a full moon. As you areeligible to be the Lycan Prince's equal you will have to outshine thefemales of this pack to be chosen. You will have to try to catch the eyeof the Lycan Prince. This will be an honor. He is expected to return tothe pack and to choose a mate. Enough time has passed and this willhappen sooner rather than later. As wolves we are bound by certaintraditions and you will begin to learn about them in this new school.”He spoke. “Luna You will have to choose a mate. I know that this is allnew to you but It is every father's dream that their daughter be matedto the Lycan Prince.” He explained.

Luna saw how much he wanted this and if it were a big deal to himthen she would make it work. She would please her uncle and honorher dead father by trying to catch this wolf's eye. It would help if herwere half as hot as luca though. “Of Course, I will do my best here. I willmake you proud uncle. You have done so much for me. It's the least Ican do for you.” She smiled as she held his hand. “It would help if Iknew who he was and maybe if I had some new clothes. These peopledress like royalty.” She spoke. Lucian laughed and handed her a creditcard and asked her to spend away. There is no limit. This world is notlike the human world. You are special and will have anything that youwant here. “The Lycan prince has been summoned home and there willbe a dinner. You will meet him then. You should get something to wearfor that occasion. It will be formal and very elegant. Like a Ball.”
