Chapter 40

Alpha Ryan POV

When I was informed by my warriors, that someone entered my territory and broke Beth out of cells, I was livid. All I could see was red, I need to replace her and make whoever did this pay.

I already have a strong suspicion who did it, Alpha Colton. If it was him, this means war. He not only has Jessica, but now he also has Beth. I want them back and I’ll stop at nothing to get them. Jess belongs to me, who the hell does he think he is taking what’s mine?

‘Get in my office now!’ I mind-linked my new beta, Kevin.

‘On my way, Alpha.’ He replied, with a nervous tone.

I’ve been out for b***d since Beth has been discovered missing. I killed both cell guards that were on duty when she went missing. There was no excuse, for failing to do their jobs. The patrol members on duty that night, were also severally punished for their incompetence. These idiots are useless, I have to do everything myself around here, if I want it done right.

I was brought out of my thoughts, by a knock at the door.

“Get in here!” I shouted.

The door opened and my beta, Kevin enter. He looked hesitant and nervous. He could obviously feel my rage and Alpha aura, that was rolling off me in waves.

“Yes Alpha?” He asked nervously.

“I need you to put a team together and go to the Fort Night Pack. Stay out of sight, I want to know about everyone coming and going from Alpha Colton’s territory. I want a detailed report of his patrol schedule and security measure.” I sternly instructed.

“Yes, Alpha. Anything else?” He asked.

“No, get a team out there now. I think he broke Beth out of our cells and if that’s the case, we will be destroying him and his entire pack.” I replied angrily.

“I’m on it, Alpha.” My beta replied, while bowing his head in submission before leaving my office.

I swear to the moon goddess, I will end that entire pack if they are responsible for my missing prisoner.

A few hours had passed, I was still in my office planning my next moves, when I got a mind-link.

‘Alpha, the team I sent to the Fort Night Pack, just reported to me that Alpha Colton, left the territory with his Beta and two females. One of the females is believed to be Jessica.’ Beta Kevin reported through the link.

‘Good, have them followed, which way did they go?’ I asked curiously. This might be my chance to take back what belongs to me, my precious Jessica. Oh, how I’ve missed that beauty. I was so close to making her mine, before he stupid father and mother stepped in and ruined everything.

‘Towards the human City, Alpha.’ Beta Kevin replied.

‘Perfect, I want regular updates. I’m heading into the City now.’ I replied, before ending the mind-link.

I got up from my desk and headed towards the garage. I quickly got into my black sports car and peeled out of my driveway like a bat out of hell.

Excitement started coursing through my veins. This is my chance, time to set my plan into action. If they head for Jessica’s old apartment, I’m sure she will be in my possession by the end of the day.

After the night at the club, I was able to identify the guy and girl that were with Jessica that night, through the surveillance cameras. Turns out the girl was a nurse at the hospital and her roommate. The guy owned a small little coffee shop and was Jessica’s boss.

I approached the guy at the coffee shop, his name is Brad. I casually asked about Jessica, his employee and could tell right away that he was infatuated with her. It took everything in me not to kill him on the spot, she’s mine. I had to remind myself that he may be useful and that I should keep him alive for a while longer.

After talking with him, I knew I could make him an offer that he wouldn’t refuse. He seemed to be motivated by money and also, his crush with Jessica seemed to be on the unhealthy side. I could potentially use that to my advantage.

I offered him 10 million dollars to help me get my hands on Jessica. His eyes went wide in shock at my offer. I lied, when he asked me what my intentions were with her. I told him that her parents were rich and were looking for her. He seemed to have believed my lie and told me about the coma, that she doesn’t remember anything about her past, or where she came from. That explains her behaviour when I first ran into her at the club. She acted like she didn’t recognize me, it was infuriating. Her stupid mother must of casted a spell on her. That b***h, Beth, will pay for the trouble she’s caused me.

Brad told me that he had a key to Jessica’s apartment and that if she was to return there, he could easily gain access. He seemed willing to help me replace her, especially after I promise to give him time alone with her. I paid him 1 million up front, so he knew how serious I was. His face lit up when I gave him the cash, I could tell he would do anything I asked of him at that point. I also gave him a cellphone and told him to pick it up, whenever I called. He was more than happy to comply.

As I made my way into the City, I called the cellphone I gave him. Time for Brad to hold up his end of our deal, I thought to myself.

‘Hello?’ I heard his voice, through the phone.

‘Brad, where are you? We need to talk.’ I asked, in a serious tone.

‘I’m at my apartment.’ He replied, with hesitation in his voice.

‘Meet me in the alley in 5 minutes.’ I said and hung up the phone before he could reply.

That kid better not back out of our deal, or I’ll gut him.

‘Alpha, Alpha Colton’s vehicle is close to Jessica’s apartment, looks like they are stopping at the hospital. Only the Beta and Sam went inside.’ My beta report through the mind link.

‘I need you to cause a distraction on his territory. Something that will be reported to him immediately and cause some concern, but won’t be linked back to me.’ I ordered.

‘Yes, Alpha. I’ll use rogues to breach the border.’ He replied.

‘Hurry up. This is time sensitive.’ I practically shouted through the link.

‘Yes Alpha,’ he replied and I cut the link. He better not mess this up, or he’ll end up dead like my previous beta.

I pulled into the alley behind Brad’s apartment and saw him standing my the backdoor of his building. He had a concerned look on his face. I rolled down the passenger side window, when I stopped next to him.

“Get in.” I ordered in a stern voice and he complied. He seemed nervous and was fidgeting anxiously with his hands. I drove off once he was in, but didn’t say anything right away.

“Where are we going?” He asked, while glancing over at me nervously.

“It’s time for you to hold up your end of our deal.” I replied, without looking at him.

“Jessica? Where is she?” He asked, sounding both excited and concerned.

“I believe she’s heading for her old apartment. If she is, you’re going to be waiting inside for her.” I replied and still didn’t look at him. I could see the concerned frown on his face, from my peripheral vision.

“What’s the plan?” He asked hesitantly.

“If they go to her apartment, I’ll make sure only her and her roommate go in. Use this to knock them out, I’ll be waiting for you in the alley.” I said shortly, while handing him a bottle and a rag. He took them from my hands and I glanced over to see him reading the label on the bottle.

“But this is…” He started to say and I cut him off.

“She’s not going to come willingly, this won’t hurt her, it’s simply going to knock her out. You better not be having second thoughts.” I spat out angrily, and glared over at him with a murderous look.

“N-no, no, I’ll do it. You promise you’re not going to hurt her though.” He replied, with his hands up in surrender. I could smell his fear and it only made me want to kill him even more. This weak human thinks he can asked things of me. Goddess, it’s taking everything in me not to shred him to pieces.

“I promise, her parents are worried about her, she likes to live a risky lifestyle and this is for her own protection.” I replied through gritted teeth, while my knuckles turned white from gripping the steering wheel tightly.

“Ok… What about her roommate Sam? What do I do with her if she’s there?” He asked, with a frown.

“I don’t care…” I spat out, but then had a thought. “Actually bring her too, she might come in handy.” I replied. This Sam girl, might be my key to controlling my future mate and having her submitted to me, I smiled at the thought.

“Ok, you sure they will be alone?” He asked nervously.

“Yes, if that changes, I’ll text you to get out of there.” I replied, as we pulled up to her apartment building.

“Now, get in there, text me when you’re on your way out, I’ll be waiting in the alley at the back.” I replied and he nodded as he got out of the vehicle.

I drove to the front of the building and parked a few blocks away, where I could keep an eye out for them, without being noticed.

I waited for an update from my Beta and only a few minutes later, I got a mind-link.

‘Alpha, they are five minutes away from Jessica’s apartment building.’ I heard my beta announce through the link.

‘Good, did you cause a ruckus on their territory?’ I asked.

‘Yes Alpha, He should be getting a call shortly about the breach.’ He replied.

‘Perfect. Make sure there are two cells ready in the dungeon, I have a feeling I’ll be returning with some guests.’ I said, while a satisfied smirk etched across my face.

‘Yes Alpha.’ He replied and I cut the link.

Five minutes later, I watched as a black SUV pulled out front of the building. Jessica and the woman I know to be her roommate, stepped out of the vehicle and stood waiting on the side walk.

Shortly after, Alpha Colton got out while talking on his cellphone. I could see he had a serious look on his face and I knew he was likely getting a report about the territory breach. His beta got out of the vehicle and was watching Alpha Colton with as serious expression on his face. He must be listening to the conversation, I thought to myself.

They stood outside the building for a few minutes. I saw the girls talk to Alpha Colton and his beta, but as I predicted, the guys where to busy sorting out the mess on their territory and weren’t paying any attention to the ladies.

I saw Jess and Sam talk to one another, before Sam kissed the beta on his cheek and they both walked towards the front doors of the building. I smiled to myself, they are doing exactly what I thought they would. They are going to go in, while the Alpha and beta are preoccupied on the phone. I wonder what the k**s was about? Is Sam the beta’s mate? If so, this is even better then I initially thought. I can use her not only against Jessica, but also the pack.

I quickly texted Brad, letting him know that they were on their way up and to be ready.

Ten minutes later, I got a text from Brad, saying that he had them and was on his way down to the alley, he asked me to meet him at the stairs.

I glanced over at Alpha Colton one last time, he was still on his phone talking to someone, while his beta was also on his phone. Perfect, I thought to myself.

I got to the back of the building and noticed the door was slightly open. I stopped the car by the door and watched as the door opened completely and Brad hurried out, carrying an unconscious Jessica in his arms. He looked rattled, while he quickly made his way to my vehicle.

I opened the trunk and he put her in, before turning around and heading back inside and out of sight.

Two minutes later, he came back out carrying another unconscious woman, Jessica’s roommate, Sam. He put her in the trunk, before I slammed it shut.

“Get in” I ordered and he complied.

“Where are we going?” He asked nervously.

“You’ll see.” I replied, without looking at him.

I took off down the road and headed towards my territory.

The excitement coursing through me, was like nothing I had ever felt. This is it, she’s finally going to be mine and no one can stop me.
