True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1653
"I like that idea," Maria said, chuckling. "You're so bad."
They waited and recorded for some time.
All of a sudden, the curtains closed.
Gary frowned. "D*mn, they closed the curtains. Did they think of that after remembering what happened before?"
"Shall we continue recording?" Ernest asked.
"You won't be able to capture anything, right?"
"Well, no. Not after they closed the curtains," Ernest said. "I have to replace a way to install a pinhole camera in her house so that we can discover her future plans."
"That's illegal." Maria immediately shook her head.
Liam and Gary looked at each other and smiled.
However, Celeste said, "Send what you have to her agent. That should be enough. She'll definitely come looking for them to get revenge."
"Come on. Let's go back," Gary said. "Keep the drone."
Ernest quickly flew the drone back to the car.
Soon, they arrived back at their house.
Once they were back, Gary downloaded a copy of the video. Then, he and Celeste went to their room.
Seeing that Celeste was still in low spirits, he said comfortingly, "Don't think too much about it. She's not worth the effort."
She nodded. "I know she's not worth it, but whenever I think about it, I feel bad."
"That's understandable. She raised you, and you're someone who values relationships," he said. How could he not understand how she felt? He continued to comfort her, saying, "But she's not worthy of your worry. You haven't done anything wrong. What she's doing right now is bad and will hurt you."
He thought of the threatening call she received. Cindy had actually threatened Celeste, even telling her that she would die.
He was so furious that his entire body was shrouded in a cold and powerful aura.
He would not allow Cindy to do whatever she wanted.
Not only did he want Cindy to pay the price, but he would also make sure that Cindy never had a chance to rise from the ashes.
"Mm," Celeste leaned into Gary's embrace and closed her eyes. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Don't be angry."
She could sense his tense emotions, and she was worried that he would be angry too.
"I won't allow her to hurt you," Gary said. "I'll send the video to her agent right now."
"Do you have her contact information?" she asked.
He burst into laughter. "That's so easy to get. Why wouldn't I have it?"
She knew his capabilities, so she said, "Okay, send it to her. I'm going to study."
"Sure."
The two of them busied themselves. In just a few minutes, Gary had sent the video to Monica's Whatsapp.
After making a few more arrangements, he went over to Celeste and sat down opposite her. "I have sent it to her. If she comes to London, I'll know at once."
"Do you think she'll come?" Celeste was a little skeptical. "Would she still dare to come?"
"If she stays back there, she can only hide. It would be better for her to come here and deal with Cindy and Michael. I think that with her temper, she might come." He had a feeling that things would get interesting soon.
When Celeste recalled the image of Cindy and Michael being intimate with each other, she felt disgusted.
It was not that she thought Cindy should not live a life like that. Instead, she merely thought that Cindy should not get involved with someone else's husband.
Such behavior was simply too despicable.
She could not accept it.
"Let's forget about her. I want to study first," she said, not wanting to waste too much time. She had to make every effort to study and learn. Soon, Gary would have to go back to Boston.
She would have to study on her own after he left, and she would not be as efficient as she was now.
Gary nodded and continued to accompany her as she studied.
In the room next door.
As soon as Liam and Maria entered the room, Maria muttered angrily, "She's really shameless. Cindy is the most shameless woman I have ever seen. Not only is she so close to someone else's husband, she even snatched him away. But then again, her agent is not a good person either."
Seeing the righteous indignation burning within her, Liam could not help but laugh, "You're right. They're not good people at all."
"You used to be very protective of her," Maria said as she looked at Liam. "We used to quarrel because you were protective of Cindy."
The mention of the events from four years ago stunned Liam. He felt a little embarrassed, and he gave her an apologetic look. "Maria, I'm sorry," he apologized. Had he known how terrible Cindy was back then, he would never have protected her so fiercely. Unfortunately, he did not know back then.
Now that he thought about it, he was a stubborn person back then.
That was why he felt really guilty.
"You don't have to apologize. Who wants you to apologize?" Maria said with a smile, "I just feel a little sad when I think about those past four years. We didn't pay much attention to each other because of what happened."
So much so that Liam did not even remember her name at one point.
At the thought of that, Maria's eyes turned gloomy and sad.
Fortunately, it was all in the past.
Her dim eyes lit up.
"I'm really sorry." Liam pulled her over and let her sit on his lap. He looked into her eyes and apologized sincerely. "Maria, I'm sorry. I was truly blind back then to not see how good you were."
"It doesn't matter. Our relationship got better after that," Maria smiled and hooked her arms around Liam's neck. "Look, everything happens for a reason. Now, you know the truth. You finally understand my feelings for you, and you also know about Cindy's real personality. All of this is fate."
His lips twitched, and he said, "I was too rash and brainless back then."
"Don't say that about yourself. Back then, you were grateful to her for helping you. After all, you're someone who values relationships." Maria had known Liam for a long time, so naturally, she knew what kind of person he was.
Liam nodded. It was true that he was someone that valued relationships, and he was grateful toward Cindy too.
However, at this point, he felt that he had finally finished repaying her kindness.
He only got famous because of her help.
However, he was suppressed because of her too.
Now, he did not owe her anything anymore.
Liam looked at Maria with a sparkle in his eyes. "Let us talk about something even more important."
"What?" she asked.
"Didn't you say that you want to be my agent? I think it's time for you to sign me on. We shouldn't delay this," he said.
When Maria heard that, she burst into laughter. "Hey, why are you in such a hurry? I'm not in a rush, so why are you so anxious?"
"I'm only anxious because you aren't," Liam said. "Signing a contract with me is an important thing. You'll be in charge of everything about me in the future."
She was a little surprised and touched. "Aren't you afraid that I'll fail you?" she asked.
"You won't," Liam shook his head and said seriously. "Even if you fail me, I'll accept it. I'm willing to accept anything."
Maria stared at him for a while, and a gentle warmth flashed in her eyes.
"Liam, you're free. We don't need to sign a contract. I trust you just as much as you trust me," Maria replied seriously. "We don't need to be bound by a contract."
He understood her intentions.
However, the more he thought about it, the more he felt that he needed to sign the contract. If not for themselves, then at least for Zachary. He had helped him terminate his contract without asking for anything in return.
That point alone was enough to justify him wanting to be recruited by her.
He suggested, "How about this? I'll draw up a contract, then the two of us will then sign it and send it to Mr. Lowe's lawyer. When you get your agent's license in the future, I'll officially be your artist."
"Why are you so serious about this?" Maria looked at him helplessly. "I said that we don't have to be bound by these things."
"It's just a work contract," Liam said. "After you graduate, well go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to sign a marriage certificate so that we'll be bound to each other for the rest of our lives."
Stunned, she blushed in embarrassment. "Are... Are you sure you want to marry me?"
"If I don't marry you, who else would I marry?" he retorted. "Haven't you ever thought about marrying me?"
Maria shook her head. "Of course I want to marry you. I even dream of it."
When she blurted it out, her face turned red.
Looking at her with a serious expression, he said solemnly, "Well get married after you graduate."
