Leah stood on the balcony of Ernest's room and looked outside at the garden with an envious expression.

She smiled and let out a sigh. "Aunt Smith is spending quality time with her brother. How nice."

Ernest came over and stood beside Leah. He glanced downstairs and saw his mother and Uncle Zayne sitting on the recliners in the garden.

The sun was shining brightly that day despite the fact that it was winter. The golden rays at noon washed over Grace and Zayne, and it surrounded them in a warm halo.

"My mom shares a great relationship with Uncle Zayne. Actually, they are half siblings. Generally, half-siblings don't really see eye to eye, but my mom and Uncle Zayne treat one another wonderfully, and maybe they are just fated to be siblings."

Leah nodded. "I can see that. They always laugh and smile when they talk to one another, and their faces are glowing. I'm jealous."

"Aren't you and Rowane doing quite well also?" Ernest embraced Leah and said softly, "My family is complicated, so sorry about that, but it seems like you are destined to be part of our family."

"It's not complicated." Leah leaned backwards, tucking herself into Ernest's neck. She felt content in his warm and wide arms. "Everyone is so loving. It's not complicated at all."

As long as everyone loved one another, there would be no issues at all.

Ernest lowered his head, kissed Leah's neck affectionately and whispered, "Were you nervous when I left earlier?"

"Of course not. Your mom and Celeste were here with me. How could your mom and the girl you liked be bad people?" Leah smiled as she answered.

The girl he liked?

Ernest frowned, and his grip on Leah tightened.

Leah gasped when Ernest's arms gripped tightened on her. "Hey, let go. I'm scared."

"Are you still going to say nonsense like that?" Ernest pretended to threaten Leah.

Leah shook her head. "No, but I think what I said is true."

"It doesn't make any sense." Ernest straight away turned Leah over and made her face him. He drew closer to her while he lowered his head and aimed for her lips.

If she dared say anything like that again, he'd attack her with kisses. He would show her how he would shut her up.

Meanwhile, Leah immediately yielded to Ernest.

"Fine, fine! I admit it! I was jealous just now, okay? Celeste is such an amazing girl, so I couldn't help it. Don't be mad, okay?"

Ernest was exasperated with the woman in his arms. "You say that she's amazing, but you have no idea how amazing you are."

"I know I'm amazing, but love can't be measured solely on that. Perhaps you like gentle, refined women like Celeste. I'm such a boyish and rough girl, so I have no idea why you like me."

"Be confident in yourself. You're the woman I'm interested in," said Ernest in a deep voice. "I'll only ever love you for the rest of my life. You're outstanding and stunning, so don't ever doubt your place in my heart. You've always been a gentle and refined woman as well."

"But I don't think about myself that way."

"Come on, you always put yourself down. Can't you see that you have great qualities as well?"

"Then you should tell me about them. I'll feel better that way."

"Well, you're a very generous and forgiving girl. Honestly, you're a catch."

"Then, how do I stack up against Celeste?" Leah couldn't help but to compare herself with Celeste.

Ernest groaned helplessly again. Why was Leah always so insecure when it came to that?

Did he not make her feel secure enough?

Reflecting upon himself, Ernest was determined to treat Leah better so he could make her feel more secure.

If a woman did not have a sense of security, then she would not have enough confidence.

Ernest took a deep breath and said, "Leah, I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" Leah smiled at Ernest. "Is it because of Celeste?"

Ernest narrowed his eyes at her, nodded and said. "Yeah, I don't think I make you feel secure enough. It's my fault."

"Ah, you're so silly, Ernest! This is my own problem, so don't take it to heart. I'm just joking, so don't mention it again. I'll get mad if you do." Leah was disappointed at her own jealousy too. Why couldn't she be more open-hearted when it came to their relationship?

Ernest looked at her silently, not knowing how to

comfort her.

He nodded before he said in a serious tone, "Leah, I'm not going to tell you empty words of platitude, but I will tell you that I'm not a man who falls in love for the hell of it."

Leah felt a little guilty. She'd ruined the whole mood.

An awkward expression revealed itself on her face before she looked into Ernest's eyes shyly.

Then, she stood on her tiptoes and drew closer to Ernest to kiss him.

Ernest sucked in a breath through his teeth, feeling slightly aroused. Then, he couldn't help it anymore, and immediately turned his attentions onto Leah and became the proactive one. Ernest seized Leah by the waist and drew her close to him. Then, he locked her in his embrace, and attacked Leah with his kisses.

In that moment, sparks of lust flew between them.

Leah was nearly swallowed up by Ernest, and she was completely overwhelmed by him. Her body went limp and she found it hard to stand.

Ernest moved closer to Leah as they continued to kissed for a long time. He whispered in her ear, "Leah, this is my room. Stay the night, will you?" Leah was stunned, and her body froze up immediately.

Staying the night there wasn't the issue.

However, Gary's room was next door, and it would be awkward if they heard anything going on at night.

"No, let's go back to my place." Leah looked at Ernest and begged in a soft voice.

Ernest froze and gave Leah an understanding look.

Then, he approached her again and stuck out his tongue to lick her nose.

In an instant, Leah immediately covered his mouth.

However, Ernest had her trapped by the waist and she couldn't move an inch.

Ernest moved from her nose to her ear, and he enveloped her earlobe in his slightly parted mouth.

At that moment, Leah felt like her entire body was about to collapse.

Her whole body trembled as if she had been hit by an electric current. She instantly let out a low cry and stared at Ernest with wide eyes.

Ernest whispered in her ear, "Shh, be quiet. My brother and Celeste are next door. If they hear you,

it will be terrible."

He was afraid of being heard, and yet he did that to Leah!

Leah whispered, "Don't mess around. It's my first time here. How can I do something inappropriate?"

"This is my room and you are my girlfriend. No one can control what I want to do to you. Besides, my brother and his girlfriend have stayed here for a long time. Can't you stay here with me for one night?" Ernest continued to whisper in Leah's ear.

Leah immediately gasped and held his arm. Her voice trembled weakly.

"Oh, don't be like this. We are going to have dinner later. Plus, your elders are here. Let's not take it too far, Ernest." Leah hoped that he could understand her concerns and not embarrass her the first time she came to his house.

Ernest continued to coax her in a gentle voice. "But, this is my room. Don't you want to to spend a wonderful night here with me?"

Leah noticed that Ernest seemed to really want it, and it seemed like his passion was burning.

She thought for a moment and said, "Just one night?"

"Of course not. We'll spend the rest of our lives together. However, we're going to move out and have our own little family after we get married."

Leah blushed and said, "Fine, I promise that I'll stay the night, but you can't embarrass me. Your elders are here."

Ernest nodded. "Kiss me and I'll let you go."

Leah looked at him coquettishly and quickly kissed him, wanting to escape immediately.

However, who knew that Ernest would take the lead as soon as their lips touched.

Soon after, the both of them were entangled together.

It was some time before Ernest came up for air. "Phew, I almost lost control over there."

Leah blushed even harder and she pushed Ernest coyly. She lay his in arms sheepishly and complained. "You're too much! It's my first time here, and yet you're acting so shamelessly."

Ernest felt that Leah was extremely adorable when she acted like that.

He held Leah in his arms and comforted her softly. "What's there to be afraid of? I'm in my own home, and it's normal for me to lose control with my girlfriend. That's not too much at all. It just means that I am a very normal and healthy man."

Leah was speechless.

"That means that mom won't worry anymore. Look at my uncle. Everyone thinks there's something wrong with him because he doesn't date anyone." Ernest looked out the window with Leah in his arms. Leah looked outside and took in the heartwarming scene in the garden of them on the recliners. They looked so close to each other.

Leah asked, "I wonder what your mom is telling your uncle? It looks like she's comforting Mr. Yarbrough."

"I don't know, but I'm not surprised that my uncle is here today. However, he doesn't look like himself today. His expression seems odd today, different from when we met. He seems irritated." Ernest looked at the two of them in the garden and mused, "I'm thinking about when to tell mom about that girl who is pursuing my uncle."
