Early the next morning, Grace was still sleepy when the alarm clock rang.

The children had to go to school, so she had to get up and take care of them.

As soon as she moved, Heinz immediately woke up.

"Sleep a little longer." Heinz said softly, "You need to rest more when you're pregnant. Your health is more important." He was worried that she would be too exhausted, which would be harmful to her own health as well as the baby's.

"I'm not going to sleep anymore." Grace said, "I have to take the children to school first."

"We have butlers to do that," Heinz said. "Leave it to them. That's their job."

After all, the butlers were paid handsomely so that they could serve the family well.

Grace shook her head. Although she understood what Heinz meant, she insisted. "The butler can't replace me, so I have to get up. I'll get more rest after the children leave for school. I wasn't with Ernest when he grew up, and I didn't spend much time with Little Gary. So, I want to be in their lives more often. Otherwise, I'm worried that they will be distant from their new sibling."

Heinz paused for a moment before he nodded and sat up on the bed. "Well, then wait until they leave. Then you can sleep again."

"I will. Don't worry. Heinz, you should get back to sleep." Grace knew that he was also very tired and worried. She added, "It's still early."

"No, I'm going to meet Grandpa." Heinz said, "It has to be arranged early in the morning, or else it will be rushed."

"Why do you need to meet Grandpa?"

"It's about Marry's mother, Miranda Scott. Miranda's second husband happens to be Mr. Quell from the Quell family, and he is Grandpa's former subordinate."

"What a coincidence!" Grace was stunned. "There was no news about Marry's mother before, and she didn't show up at our house. I didn't know she got married to someone else."

"Miranda came prepared this time. She used the Quell family's connections to release Marry from the detention center without being convicted." Heinz said, "She has the opportunity to do so before the court opened the case, so I am worried that they decided to take advantage of this loophole. If Grandpa comes forward to help, at least they will have some restraint and not go too far."

Grace was very surprised as she asked, "Can they use private relations to influence the law?"

"No one dares to do so openly, but who knows? If someone breaks the law, it's hard to say. I don't want that to happen."

Grace nodded and said, "Well, go ahead! But I think the possibility is low. They would literally be breaking federal laws."

Heinz smiled and replied, "You are too naive. Jensen was suspended yesterday. If no one comes forward to interfere, there is still room to change Jensen's situation."

"Jensen was suspended?" Grace was taken back yet again. "Why?"

"He didn't get an arrest warrant when Xavier was arrested, so he was suspended."

Grace was astonished and said, "It means that Jensen was too impatient and didn't get the warrant first to arrest Xavier, so someone took advantage of his oversight and made an issue of it." Heinz nodded. "That's exactly what happened."

"Heinz, to be very honest with you, Jensen did violate the rules." Grace said, "Although being suspended is a severe punishment, it is also a reminder for people to abide by the rules. So it is not really a bad thing."

Heinz replied, "Even so, the fact is that in an emergency, they can arrest suspects without an arrest warrant first to avoid unnecessary losses and injuries. However, yesterday's incident was clearly biased toward Xavier."

"You suspect that Miranda took advantage of the Quell family and used their connections in Northern City to take revenge on Jensen?" Grace was smart, and she instantly understood the truth behind the

matter.

"That's right."

Grace was shocked for a moment before she frowned. "In that case, the Quell family must be very powerful to be able to influence the police with just a few words. Jensen also had something on him at first, but if he wants to be invincible, he needs to strive for perfection in everything he does."

"Yes." Heinz agreed as well. "That's why it's a huge blow to him."

"Not really." Grace shook her head. "If that's the case, he might as well quit being a cop. Don't worry, Jensen is not as fragile as you think."

Hearing this, Heinz laughed as looked at Grace, then he said with a smile, "You're right. This blow is a stumbling block on the road of growth. Once you get over it, you'll be able to stand tall once again." "He will be fine." Grace replied, "I'll wash up first and wake the children up later."

After that, she went off to do her thing.

In the meantime, Heinz also went to wash up and changed into more comfortable clothes.

Soon after that, they left the room.

At the same time, Alice and Jensen also came out of their room. Everyone was up early.

"Good morning," Grace greeted them.

Jensen looked at her and said apologetically, "I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing to me?" Grace was confused.

"I didn't listen to you yesterday." Jensen said, "I wouldn't have been suspended if we waited."

To be honest, Grace was relieved. She said to him, "You didn't listen to me, but it doesn't mean that you were wrong. Being suspended now is not a bad thing, as it means that there is something wrong at work Either way, you don't have to feel so sad. Cheer up, Officer Charm. You are a good cop."

"Do you really think so?" Jensen was now skeptical about everything and suspected that he had done a bad job.

"If not, you wouldn't have itched to arrest the bad guys." Grace comforted him. "Take it as a lesson. Rome wasn't built in a day, you know?"

Jensen smiled bitterly in response.

Alice nodded and said, "Grace is right. Jensen, cheer up. Everything will be fine."

"Good morning, everyone." Little Gary came over and greeted, but he was surprised to see Alice. "Huh? Didn't Little Aunt go to stay at Aunt Rosalie's place? Why is she back? Did they fight?" "Hey!" Alice protested, "Can't you at least try and say something nice?"

"It's very odd for you to be here early in the morning. Besides, you all look so sad. It's really strange." Little Gary looked at them and found them all acting rather oddly.

To defuse the awkward situation, Grace said to him, "Get ready and wash your hands."

"Mummy usually orders me around when she can't answer my questions." Little Gary had seen through her tricks and he demanded, "Tell me what's going on. I may be able to help you if you tell me."
