True Love -
(Book 4) – Chapter 138
Maybe the best thing to do was to tell him the truth about that idiot Fernando, maybe then he would understand her position. She didn’t want to hide something like that from him, he had been too good and patient with her to do something like that to her. Even if they weren’t formal boyfriend and girlfriend, they were lovers who shared many things. She was sure that if she did, she would feel much better.
-We’ll be there in half an hour. He told her without taking his eyes off the sea.
-How nice! I’m starting to feel dizzy.
-Are you feeling sick? he asked worriedly.
-I’ll be fine! He told her, it was true, his dizziness was not due to the trip. It was because of everything he had to tell her. -You know, there’s something I’d like to tell you.
-Oh yes! And what would that be? He said, looking at her.
-I… I came here for a reason, I had a boyfriend but a month ago I broke up with him because he, well he tried to force me to be with him.
-What? I ask with a frown.
-Relax, how could you tell he didn’t make it. My best friend rescued me from that mess. Because of that, I cut him off. Well, I came here to clear my mind and forget about all that.
-I’m so sorry for what happened with that idiot, if I could I’d smash his face in, I swear. I understand why you were running away from me all the time.
-Yeah, one of my reasons.
-How many reasons do you have?
-The second one is that I don’t want to fall in love again, I don’t want to suffer any more for love. And the third is that I don’t think I believe in it anymore.
-I’ll make you believe it. He told her with that smile that melted her.
Because he had to be so beautiful, he couldn’t be a horrible man with bad feelings so she wouldn’t be tempted to love him to exhaustion. She didn’t want that, she was afraid, but she didn’t want to hurt Antoni either.
-Why are you so sure?
-Because you’re already feeling it.
His heart pounded like a train wreck, was that what was happening to him? He had fallen in love and he didn’t want to accept it. There were so many clues that said she was, since she couldn’t be away from him for long, and when he left her alone her heart was saddened. She had to calm down and take a deep breath, she was jumping to conclusions. She kept silent and so did he, he only remained with a beautiful smile on his lips. At last the trip was over, a car was waiting for them on the boat to Santorini.
She marvelled at the sight of the whole place, it was impressive with so many clothes shops, beautiful and luxurious restaurants. It was a wonderful paradise that no one would want to leave. Greece was a jewel and she was in the middle of it all. They got into the car and her nerves attacked her, the smell of leather intoxicated her and made her want to vomit. She had to calm down, she was acting like a teenager. Her hands were taken by Antoni’s causing a pleasant sensation of peace and warmth, it was incredible the power that this man had over her.
They arrived at a magnificent house on a hill, it was more like an ancient temple. Like the houses of the Gods, too beautiful to be true. She rubbed her eyes to see if she was not in a dream. It was very real, she looked beside her and Antoni was looking at her with that special gleam in his eyes. She wanted to run away and go back to the boat. As they got off they were greeted by a tall, slightly older man dressed like a penguin and a pretty young woman in a black suit.
-Welcome Mr. Antoni, your parents will receive you in a moment on the terrace.
-Thank you Jorge. This is my girlfriend Andromeda Suwith.
-Welcome Miss Suwith, it’s a pleasure to have you here. He said girlfriend? Or was he imagining it, it all seemed so unreal.
-Thank you very much. He said smiling at the old man.
They entered through a huge golden door, and the view outside wasn’t half as beautiful as it was inside. If they decided to create a Greek movie that house would be the perfect setting for it, the corridors were open and covered with soft white and gold silk curtains. There were many pillars of ancient sculptures, and others were the hand-carved bases of the house. It was a beauty of a house.
-Do you like the house?
-It’s amazing, Antoni.
-My parents gave it the Greek touch, they wanted to live in a house in the shape of a Temple to honour the Gods.
-Well, the truth is that it’s been wonderful.
-And you have to see the gardens.
The young woman dressed in black led them down the wonderful corridor, I could see a fountain around it with a woman in the middle of it made of plaster holding a pitcher and a cascade of water coming out of it. On either side were several ivory-coloured benches and many planted roses. It was a wonderful place to sit and read and spend a pleasant time. When they reached the end of the corridor they found a splendid garden, very wooded and lush with flowers and trees native to the city. At the end of the garden they could see the sea, the house was situated on the top of a hill so the view of the ocean was wonderful.
In the middle of the garden there were four pillars of white rock very well carved, together with a roof of reddish tiles, the place was ideal to have tea or to celebrate a nice meeting. I was enchanted with the place, I could not deny that Greece was very beautiful.
-I am totally in love with this place.
-That’s exactly what I was looking for.
He took her hand and with his free hand he grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him. Her lips were possessed by his in a candid, passionate k**s. She couldn’t ask for anything more, the place, the company lent itself to savour Antoni’s k**s.
-It seems our garden lends itself to love,” said a woman’s voice behind them. Said a woman’s voice behind them, causing the couple to break apart to look at the newcomers.
-Mother, father, how good to see you. Antoni said excitedly, still holding her around his waist.
-The pleasure is all ours! Said the father looking at the young woman next to his son.
Now she was more nervous than ever, being face to face with Antoni’s parents was total madness. It was getting more and more serious and she could see no way out of there. She couldn’t run away since the only way to get to Serifos Island was through the Greek’s yacht. She was trapped, in that beautiful Greek house. Well, she had no choice but to go ahead and see how far it all went.
-You have come in very good company, my love. Says the woman.
-Yes mother, this is my girlfriend Andromeda.
-Oh, it’s nice to meet you my dear, you are very beautiful, my son has talked a lot about you saying that you were very beautiful, I thought he was exaggerating but now I can see that he wasn’t.
-Thank you very much ma’am!
-Oh no, please! Don’t call me so formal, my name is Melisa and this here next to me is my husband Rodrigo.
-It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir.
Well, the truth is that I am your father-in-law, my girl. She smiled because of her nerves, she couldn’t help it. Everything was happening so fast, what else could she do? What else could she do but smile.
-Come on, my dear, don’t be nervous, let’s have tea. He took her by the arm, leading him away from his son.
They sat down on the beautiful terrace and soon a young woman arrived with steaming cups with an amber-coloured content, it smelled divine, and she left many dry pastries that looked exquisite. His stomach cried out for him to try them all. Antoni seemed to read her thoughts because he served her a good amount and the young woman felt embarrassed, but when she looked at him he smiled sweetly.
