Unclaimed Luna’s Desire
Chapter 53 Paul's Calculations

Ellie's POV:

When I woke up, Paul was nowhere to be found.

The pillow next to me was empty, and the sheets were cold.

Paul had been gone for a while. He wasn't with me.

Last night was wild, a night I won't forget.

I didn't want to think about the details. The marks on my body were enough to make me blush for a long time.

Various toys were scattered on the floor, all of which had left their mark on me.

The room was filled with the strong scent of sex and Paul's pheromones. My face felt hot, and I pressed my cheeks against my hand.

I felt a boost in my abilities from the sex, not just from Aelros. Paul could enhance my powers too.

It was a good feeling.

My nose was sensitive enough to pick up Paul's unique scent lingering in the room.

I had a feeling I was about to change.

Paul's scent was like rich red wine, intoxicating me, making me remember how he punished me last night.

It was a punishment I couldn't resist.

Unlike being beaten or starved, Paul was a complete dominator, filling me with panic and making me submit to him.

That feeling was terrifying and suffocating.

But I remembered the whip striking me, the wax dripping on my pussy. It wasn't a bad sensation.

It was a new experience, making me feel good.

It brought me to an overwhelming climax.

But I thought I would never disobey Paul's rules again. I was afraid he would show his stern, indifferent side, treating me like a stranger, a useless object.

I didn't want that. It made me feel empty inside.

I preferred being addicted to Paul's gentlemanly demeanor, as if his tenderness was just for me and his eyes were only on me.

But Paul wasn't here. I couldn't tell if he had forgiven me.

Maybe he left because he didn't plan to forgive me.

I didn't want to think about it.

I sat on the bed, took a few deep breaths, and told myself, "Maybe Paul just went out for something."

It started raining outside, and I could smell the rain and the wet soil.

My hearing became sharper, and I could hear the rain hitting the glass and the leaves.

I hugged my knees, curling up in the soft covers.

I was scared.

Rain always brought bad memories. My joints would ache, and wounds would inflame, making me uncomfortable.

On rainy days, Danial wouldn't go to school, which meant I would endure his beatings.

I fell into painful memories, trembling uncontrollably.

Thunder rumbled, and lightning lit up the dark room.

I felt anxious and wanted to replace Paul.

I didn't want to be alone.

But as I got up to the door, hand on the handle, I remembered how I had angered Aelros by running around.

My hand lost strength, slipping from the handle.

'Forget it. I'll just stay in the room and wait,' I thought.

In the quiet room, time seemed to slow down.

I finally noticed the flowers at the head of the bed, in a vase, bright roses with dewdrops from being picked. They were fresh.

I could even smell their sweet fragrance.

There was a white note tucked in. I pulled it out and read: [Open the door and come to me.]

It was from Paul.

I rubbed my fingers over the embossed letters, feeling their faint texture.

Paul hadn't forgotten me. That realization lifted my spirits.

I followed the note's instructions and opened the door.

Outside, it was pitch black, only lit up by flashes of lightning, revealing the stairs leading downstairs.

As my foot touched the first step, candles lit up on both sides of the staircase, starting from under my feet and stretching into the distance. It was beautiful.

The warm candlelight lit my path, as if saying, "Come on, there's a surprise waiting for you."

Paul stood at the end of the candlelit path in a fitted suit, holding a big bouquet of sunflowers, waiting for me.

When he saw me, Paul walked a few steps towards me, stood in front of me, and kissed my cheek, leaving me with a goodnight kiss. "Good evening, Ellie."

The dining table where we usually ate was covered with thick red velvet, adorned with exquisite food, tall burning candles, and neatly arranged silverware.

It was like a scene from a movie, so romantic.

I widened my eyes in disbelief, covering my gaping mouth.

I couldn't believe all of this was for me!

I was so touched! I felt like I was going to cry!

No one had ever done this for me!

Paul held my hand, guiding me to sit down.

In the candlelit room, the Moonlight Herb made of ore shimmered with a cold light.

"Is today a special holiday?" I asked shyly, sitting properly with my hands folded, not daring to move.

"Today is your birthday," Paul said, lifting my hair and putting a necklace on me.

When I looked down, I saw a necklace in the shape of a Moonlight Herb.

"Today isn't my birthday," I said, correcting him seriously.

"Just kidding," Paul patted my head, saying, "Darling, I just thought to invite you for dinner because you look especially beautiful today."

"Just because of that?" I asked incredulously, tears of gratitude welling up in my eyes. "In the past, rainy days meant beatings and hunger, but you showed me something different."

"I'll prepare surprises for you on rainy days from now on, Ellie," Paul hugged me tightly, gently patting my back. "You don't need to be afraid anymore. There won't be rainy days." Yes. I wouldn't be afraid of rainy days anymore.

Listening to Paul's strong heartbeat, I felt calm and safe for the first time.

"Thank you for the gift, Paul," I held the exquisite necklace tightly in my palm, expressing my gratitude.

I knew the effects of Moonlight Herb, and when I learned that I was about to transform and experience my own transformation day, I had thought about preparing this myself.

In legends, Moonlight Herb was the incarnation of the moon goddess, providing good luck to children about to transform on their transformation day.

But fresh Moonlight Herb was too expensive. I couldn't even afford dried or symbolic jewelry, so I dismissed the idea.

In daily life, only parents would prepare what their children needed for their transformation day. I never expected Paul to prepare a Moonlight Herb necklace for me. It was so thoughtful.

"Paul!" I nestled in Paul's arms, so happy I felt like I could fly. "I'm so happy!"

I thought, 'Paul is the one who understands me the most. When I have the ability to protect myself, to have freedom, I will definitely repay Paul for his kindness.'
