Waited For The Luna
Chapter 53

I went back to the facility in the morning Bellamy was having her breakfast. I peeked through her bedroom when someone patted me on my shoulder.

“Don’t lose hope, Luka. With you, by her side, the mate bond could help her. We’ll all be here with the both of you.” Thomas assured me.

“She’s going to die if she keeps this on Tom. She’s going to leave me again. My child is leaving as well. There’s nothing I can do.” I helplessly replied slamming my back to the wall.

“She won’t if we all do our best. Don’t lose hope son. She’s not, so why should you? She needs you to be there for her, for the both of them.”

Thomas was speaking sense. I’ve left Bellamy during the toughest time of her life, I’ve betrayed my child by wishing him dead. I know these times are helpless but if Bellamy is fighting with the little strength she has, then I should fight with all the strength I have by her side.

When I entered the room she was slowly bringing her spoon to her mouth. I wiped my tears before entering and she looked up at me with a smile.

“You’re back. I thought you ran back to the pack.” She joked. With the little life she has, you can still see her smiling. I went to her and helped her with the soup.

“It tastes bad. But Alli said the baby needs it so I try to gulp it down before I throw it back up again.” She said. We both laughed. She looked at me and fixed my hair. I then held her hand.

“Baby, I’m sorry for leaving, I’m sorry for yelling at you.”

“It’s okay, I yelled too. You’re probably just jealous since you’re not the only man in my life now.” She said keeping the mood light.

“Yes, I am.” I smiled back wiping her mouth. “I won’t leave you. I won’t leave my child. But you have to promise that you won’t leave.” I added.

“I’ll hold on as much as I can. I won’t leave, even if they say I’ll die, I won’t. I grew up without a mommy. Our baby won’t go through with that.” She said cupping my cheeks. My heart was breaking for her state. She courageously carried our child alone. But I know deep inside she was scared. I can the pain she’s feeling through her smile. We were both helpless, we didn’t know what to do, to be honest. But we were saying comforting words to cheer up one another almost like lying to each other.

Thomas and Noah went back to the pack. They’d visit every 2 weeks. I stayed to take care of Bellamy and left my duties to Eric. Since Bellamy was about to give birth I shopped for baby stuff and post-natal needs. This would’ve been better with Bellamy.

“Hey man! How’s Bell?”

“I won’t say good. But she’s fighting. Killing Elias was easy. I wish he’s feeling Bellamy’s pain now.”

“I’m sorry man. The pack is doing well you don’t need to worry about a thing. The trainees look promising. Everyone’s working really hard.”

“Thank you, Eric.”

“That’s nothing I’m simply doing my job as beta. You worry about your girl.” He said. I then ended the call and picked up Bellamy’s room. She was doing her procedures. Needles all over her. Her body was all bruised she looked so beaten up.

“She’s responding well. Don’t worry too much young alpha.” Alli said as I turned to face him and back at Bellamy. She was closing her eyes sweating with tears coming out her eyes.

“Why is it taking so long. She lost so much b***d already.” I asked.

“Magic goes way beyond medicine. It’s hard to explain. She’s the first one of the first to do this procedure and the fact that she’s pregnant makes it harder. I couldn’t risk rushing the procedure until the child is birthed.”

“Will she be able to go through birth at her state?”

“We’re considering a C-Section at this point. But so far your baby is cooperating with his mother. I’m afraid we won’t have time to wait before she’s in the pink once given birth. She’ll have to take the antidote as soon as the baby is out.” Alli said.

The day went on and by nighttime, she was back in her room for dinner. She doesn’t replace any of the food appetizing so I decided to cook nutritious meals for her.

“You should eat more. You’re all skin and bones.” I teased her.

“These are good thank you.”

“This place has tons of vegetables and I went to the market nearby.” I prepared her a healthy meal of fish and rice and some spinach soup. “I also picked you some oranges.”

“Luka thank you.” She whispered as I was peeling the orange.

“What for?” I beamed at her.

“For taking care of us.” She said looking down and caressing her belly.

“Nothing to thank for love. You’ll do the same for me.” I said kissing her forehead while feeding her the oranges.

“It’s a good thing you’re cooking for me. The food here could be a little bland-d.” She said. She only ate if I cooked the food so I planned a complete meal plan for her every week.

“Are you cold?” I asked seeing her shiver.

“A little.” I then cleaned up the food she wolfed down. And hugged her body near me.

“You’ll warm up soon.”

“How?” She said looking up at me with squinted eyes.

“Because I’m hot.” I arrogantly told her pointing at her nose. She smiled with her teeth out, punching my chest, and laughed before she went back to lean on my chest.

“Alli said he made an antidote for me. I hope it works. But I could only take once the baby is out.” She said.

“Yeah, I spoke to him earlier. Are you scared?”

“Nope.” She said playfully in a soft voice. “I’ll try everything to get better. As much as I don’t want this kicker to grow up without a father, I also don’t want him growing up without a mom, like me.” She added.

“Yes. And he won’t he’ll have the best mommy in the world. He’ll be strong like his mommy and handsome like his daddy.” I told her as I felt her bones in my hands. My hug wasn’t tight since I was scared of breaking her. “Hug me tighter. Don’t worry. I won’t break.” She said. She was smiling and my tears were falling on my cheeks. I kissed her hair and hugged her tightly.

“Go rest. I’ll go out for some fresh air.” I said and she nodded.

I got out and I was a sobbing mess. How can she smile and make jokes? She was so strong. It wasn’t as if there was no pain like she wasn’t hurt. How is she not scared.

“Here. You need this.” Allie handed me a box of tissue and I took it from him wiping my eyes.

“She’s strong. The first day she got here, she was determined to come home to you. She ruled out the abortion when we found out she was pregnant and she endured the pain alone every day.”

“She’s also scared I know it and she’s trying to show that she’s strong.”

“Same as you alpha. These are uncertain times and it’s completely okay to break down for a while and heal your soul. By the time you go inside that room, you’ll be able to give her strength much better.” Alli said. “She’s giving birth anytime soon. We’ll go through the procedure as soon as she gives birth.”

After chatting for a little I went back and saw Bellamy walking out of the bathroom.
