Waited For The Luna
Chapter 55

The room was in panic and they were still pumping oxygen to his lungs.

A few moments later the room was filled with our son’s cries.

“My baby!” Bellamy cried. The nurse laid the baby on her chest. He was skinny and had pink skin. I kissed her forehead and she looked at me crying. It was beautiful, our family is beautiful, she is beautiful. A few moments after Bellamy was losing energy and her heartbeat was slowing down. The nurse took the baby from her.

“Bellamy you have to take the antidote now.” Alli alerted. Bellamy nodded while her eyes were slowly dropping down.

“Honey, you have to stay awake okay.”

“Okay.” She whispered. “Everything’s going to be alright okay.” She said as she held my face and reassured me. I kissed her lips and held her hand tightly. “I know!” I told her but deep inside I was extremely terrified yet there wasn’t an ounce of pain in her eyes.

“Bellamy it’s time.” Alli then took out a bottle and put it in a drinking glasses and added some herbs that I haven’t seen or smelled in my life. He closed his eyes and handed the concoction to Bellamy.

Bellamy breathed heavily and took the glasses and gulped them down. She looked like she was going to puke out everything. I helped her hold the glass. She was drinking and mumbling in agony, I saw her eyes bloodshot and she dug her nails in my hand with one hand as she held the glass with the other. After she finished everything she dropped the glass that broke into a million pieces. She fell down to her back and I assisted her body to lie down. “It… burns.” She screamed holding on to her lungs.

“Alli do something!” I screamed. Watching Bellamy in this state.

“That means the antidote is working. We’ll have to know if her body will take it.” I watched as her eyes rolled to the back. Her mouth filled with foam and her body tensed and shook uncontrollably. I cried in fear and prayed to the goddess she’ll be alright.

She stopped seizing after a few minutes and bled through her nose. “Alli, what’s happening?” I screamed as the b***d started oozing from her mouth.

“Her b***d needs an opening to come out I have to cut her wrist.” I watched as he cut into her wrist. A thick gloopy black b***d came oozing out. It was extremely clotted. The b***d dropped on the floor. Once clean b***d was coming out a nurse applied pressure to the slit.

A terrifying sight but I stayed holding her hand. They transferred b***d into her to make for the amount she lost. Bellamy was still pale and weak it looked like she lost more weight than before.

Suddenly the room was alerted by the ringing sound of the monitor. Bellamy’s heart stopped.

My eyes widened at the sight.

There was a commotion in the room but I gave them no attention. The sounds were muffled. I focus on Bellamy in front of me. I focused on healing her and giving her strength. I was nervous but I needed to do this. She needs me right now.

They asked me to step aside and they began resuscitating her.

After what seemed like forever her weak heartbeats were back. Alli said that she was in a coma and was probably recuperating after taking the antidote. She’s stable but we’ll only know if it worked once she wakes up.

We were transferred to a ward where Bellamy was hooked in different apparatus. Our baby was brought into the room all cleaned up in his blue blanket.

“Hello, little one,” I whispered. “Mommy’s still sleeping. Are you hungry?” He was so perfect, so little and so precious. He had green eyes like his mommy, his tiny nose and lips were like mine. I took a bottle and gave him formula milk. But with assistance, he was able to feed on Bellamy.

“Bells, our baby is here. He needs you so you have to wake up now. He’s been waiting for his mommy and he’s getting a little grumpy. I can’t get him to sleep at night.”

Bellamy stayed in that state for almost a week before I decided to fly her back to the pack.

“Will she wake up?” I asked Alli who was preparing for us to leave.

“We don’t know yet. Thank the moon the little boy is healthy. As for Bellamy, we’ll have to pray harder.”

I paid for a private jet to take us back to the pack. Bellamy looked like she was only sleeping. I couldn’t get much sleep taking care of the baby and Bellamy but it was okay. I’d do this a million times again.

My dad, Thomas, and Noah were at the airport when we landed. Bellamy was taken by ambulance to the pack.

The baby’s presence wasn’t much prepared in the house but my mother was able to arrange a nursery. We placed Bellamy in my room a nurse would come to clean her up and move her from time to time. Comet was having trouble adjusting to the new environment but luckily his grandparents were always there to help look after him.

I was in our room watching Bellamy’s chest breathe in and out.

“Comet is awake son. Come and have breakfast.” My mother urged. Holding a month-old little Comet in her arms.
