Waited For The Luna
Chapter 56

“I don’t know how long I can wait, mom. It seems like Bellamy is tired and wants to rest.” Bellamy was extremely weak. She looked like a corpse but alive. “Do you think it’s time to let her go?”

“I know it’s difficult for you son. But whatever decision you have, we’ll be there for you and your son. You have a life to look after now and Bellamy wouldn’t want you neglecting your duties as a father and as an alpha.”

I have been thinking about it for quite a few weeks already. It was unknown if Bellamy would ever wake up again and seeing her in this state was painful to see every day.

I wasn’t ready and I wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do. Not wanting to have any regrets I decided to wait a little longer. By this time Comet was almost one. Almost a year since I last heard her and the last memory I’ve had of her was too painful.

Her screams, her tears, and how her body was in a state of dying.

“I’m not in the right place to decide on my own since Bellamy and I are not married. As her immediate family, I’d like you to take it into consideration.” I proposed. We were in the living room at the Cross’ residences. Abigail took Comet to the yard with their daughter Emilia.

Thomas and Noah were sitting across from me.

“You’re giving up?” Noah asked.

“I don’t want to. But I think Bellamy needs to rest. She’s been in her state for almost a year now. We don’t know if she’ll ever wake up.”

Noah clenched his fist and stood up.

“You don’t get to kill my sister!” Agitated I stood up as well.

“We can’t keep her like this forever Noah!” I said dropping a tone.

“I can and I will! If you’re tired of my sister in your house then bring her the f**k to mine!”

“You don’t get to raise your voice on me you scum! She may be your sister but she was supposed to be my wife.” Tension filled the room. Thomas stood up to break us from our stare down.

“Alpha! Noah! Calm down.”

“Calm down! Dad he’s going to kill your daughter! How are we going to calm down!” Noah spat. I took all my willpower to calm myself down from his threats.

“Noah. Bellamy wasn’t ours to keep. She may have filled the gap of your mom and sister but she was not ours in the first place.”

“Is that what you think of her? Some replacement? A rip-off? I protected and loved her like my own b***d! If you don’t want her anymore then I do.” Noah was breaking down at this point. “She’s my little sister, dad.”

“I know son. She wasn’t a replacement. She was my daughter. But she’s gone and she needs to rest. We have to let her go.” Thomas calmly said. He was trying to hide the hurt in his eyes. He then looked and faced me. “Is this what you think is right?” He asked.

“No. I don’t want to. But I want to give Bellamy the peace she deserves not the peace that I want.”

“My only request is for her to be laid in my family’s mausoleum.”

I didn’t want to do it as well and would love for her to watch Comet grow but maybe this is the right thing to do. When I got home, I took Comet to sleep in his room after that I went straight to the packhouse and down to the basement where the cells were.

I was occupied and didn’t have time to sentence Ceasar for what he has done. Heck! We wouldn’t even be here if it weren’t for that bastard. Eric however had his fun with them already after he found out about the tortures they did against his sister.

When I got to the cell Ceasar was lying on the floor, skinny and bearded.

“Are you here to kill me now?” He asked.

“No! I should’ve kept you and Elias alive. Do you know what your ruthless actions caused your own flesh and b***d?” I sneered wanting to choke him on the neck.

“She’s weak like her mother. The moment I found out I was having a daughter I cursed the moon goddess.”

“So selling her off was your way of proving she was worth something.”

“She didn’t get to fulfill her duties. She’s better off dead if you asked me.”

“And she’s half-dead now. Are you happy?” His eyes widened upon hearing that.

“What?” He asked. “Elias poisoned her b***d. She’s now in a sleep-like state for a year now. Because of the lies your orchestrated, you now have your own daughter’s b***d in your hands!”

“That was your fault for not protecting her! You failed her as a partner. So don’t you dare blame me? I never wanted you for my daughter. Your dirty family can go to hell. I was supposed to be alpha!” I was completely dumbfounded by his heartlessness.

“Your father and his father were a crazy man. This pack was established by the White family and has been passed on to 15 generations now. Your great grandfather was a traitor who tried to overthrow our family but failed. He used his descendants to make up for his failure.”

“Where’s your proof?”

I then handed him the diary of the traitor that was kept in the archives. There he illustrated his plans to attack.

“You’ve rebelled for nothing. Your daughter is suffering for nothing. No! You’re not worthy to be called her father! I will not kill you ever in my life, I’m not giving you that satisfaction. You will stay here in this cell until your all rotting flesh and bones.” I choked his neck until he was at my mercy and let him fall on the ground.

I then turned my back and walked out of the cell.

“She’ll never be yours, Alpha. You’re not worthy.”

“You think I don’t know that?”

After a year I’ve finally accepted that Bellamy wasn’t meant to be with me. She deserves to be in peace now, while I only gave her hell. If she was alive, I wouldn’t even know if I’d be able to keep her happy.

I know it’s time to let her go.
