Leandro's POV

After rinsing the sands off, he followed Rudy back to the villa.

Rudy already carried his bottle of whiskey and a glass in his hands.

When he got to the villa, he went straight to the bathroom so that he could rinse off salty water from his body.

After bathing, he changed into comfy clothes. Just shorts and sandos.

He goes down to eat the dinner that the couple had prepared for him earlier before he went for a swim.

He didn't make a mistake; when he went down the stairs, Rudy was still there.

He is heating the food.

"Thank you, Rudy, you shouldn't have bothered me anymore; I can handle that," he said.

"I just want to make sure that you eat," Rudy replied.

He just smiled at him.

He pulled out a chair to sit on.

Then he put some food onto his plate.

"Eat with me, Rudy," he invited the man.

"I have eaten already, Boss; you must eat," Rudy replied.

"I must go home now; Clara must be waiting for me. You know she can't sleep without me," Rudy said. "Okay, Rudy, you may go now. Thank you again, and say thank you to Clara for me as well," he replied. "Okay, Boss, goodnight!"

Rudy left.

He also closed the door.

The couple is like parents to him; the way they treat him is like their offspring.

That is why he likes Filipinos.

Hospitable.

Very caring. Thoughtful.

Kindhearted.

They consider the welfare of others before their own.

He doesn't know if all Filipinos are like Rudy and Clara, though.

Because it was already late, he didn't eat much.

After he finished eating, he put the cling wrap on the foods, and he kept the leftover food in the fridge.

He takes a glass of whiskey and takes it with him up to the bedroom.

He needs it so he can sleep faster.

It will also help him to forget his wife.

Maybe it's better to go back to Italy. He thought.

He should just focus on taking care of his businesses.

Yes, that will be his plan; tomorrow he will go back to Italy, and he will take care of the newly purchased winery. For now, all he needs to do is to take some rest.

After drinking a glass of whiskey, he brushed his teeth and lay down on the bed.

He fell asleep immediately.

Swimming and a glass of whiskey were a great help in giving him a good night's sleep.

He woke around eight in the morning.

After washing his face, he went down to have some coffee.

Clara is already there, preparing some breakfast.

She cooks Filipino foods that he really learns to love.

There's some fried rice on the table, scrambled eggs, and beef tapa.

She also brews coffee.

Actually, he doesn't want them to serve him, but the couple insisted on it.

They said that they were thankful for what he did in their lives.

"Good morning!" he greeted the woman, who was busy washing the utensils that she used in cooking. "Good morning, Sir! She greeted him back.

"Sit and eat!" she said.

He pulled up a chair and scooped some fried rice, a portion of egg, and some beef.

"Thank you, Clara, for this delicious food," he said.

The woman just smiled and poured him a coffee.

"Thank you! Come eat with me," he invited the woman.

"Finished already, thank you!" she replied.

"I'll go; I will come back later," she continued and walked out the door.

After he finished eating, he covered the food on the table and put his used plates and cup in the sink.

He went upstairs to prepare his things.

He must leave early so that he will reach his destination early as well.

Since he came to the place with only a laptop and his phone. He will only be leaving with the two things with him.

He never bothered to check his phone. Maybe it's already low on battery since he never charged it yesterday.

He took his laptop and put his phone in his pocket. He will recharge it later on a plane.

He called Rudy; he was outside, sweeping some dried leaves.

"Can you take me to the plane?' he asked.

He put down the broom and quickly walked towards the car parked near the entrance where the garages are.

He followed him and got in the car.

Rudy took him to his private mini airport just a few meters away from his villa.

"I'll leave you everything here; I'm going back to Italy since my wife is also gone. I'll take care of my newly bought winery," he told Rudy.

"Don't worry, I will take care of this place," Rudy replied.

When they reached the airport, he asked Rudy to go back to the villa. Then he gets into the plane and starts the engine. He waited for five minutes before he made a maneuver. Before he takes off, he checks the aircraft and makes sure that it will give him trouble.

He's about to sit down to get ready to fly, and then he notices something on the runway. A woman standing while waving her hands, he could not be mistaken. It's Liz-it's his wife. She came back.

He didn't waste any more time.

He went down the stairs and got off the plane.

He runs towards his wife while she is running to him as well.

"I miss you. I thought you would never come back," he said, hugging her.

"I miss you too. I sent you a message yesterday, saying that I will be coming soon," she replied.

He's guilty about it. He has never checked his phone since he went swimming until right now. Actually, he left it on the plane charging.

"I have been calling you too since I came home," she continued.

"I'm sorry, I never checked my phone because I have been calling you too, but you didn't pick up, and you never reply to my messages. I thought I had gone back to your fiancé." He voiced what was on his mind. "Silly!" she said, pinching him in his stomach.

"I love you!" he said.

I love you too! You're the one I need!"She replied.

"Oh Cara, I thought I had lost you," he whispered in her ear.

"I'm here now and will not be going to leave you," she replied.

He tilted her chin and kissed her tenderly.

Then he scooped her up and carried her inside the plane.

The sun is burning hot.

"Now that you're here, come with me," he said as he lowered her onto the chair.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

"We are going home," he replied.

"Going home, where?"

"I'll bring you to Italy," he replied.

"I left my bag in the car," she told him.

"Not a problem; Rudy will bring it here," he replied and took out his phone from a charger.

He dialed his phone.

"Rudy, can you bring my wife's bag here? It's in the car," he told Rudy.

After a while, the car comes to where they are.

He got down to get his wife's bag.

"You may go now, Rudy; we are leaving. I'll bring my wife with me," he said.

"Safe flight, Boss. Take care!" the man replied.

He went up and gave her the bag.

He closed the aircraft door. And sit in the pilot's chair.

Looking at his wife sitting next to him made him feel like the happiest man.
